  1. Yet if I'm not wrong there was a Thor movie recently that happens AFTER the Avengers... and there's the Captain America movie too (maybe Iron Man 3 as well? can't remember). In other words, after doing group things they all go back to their own business. We will keep insisting, whether you consider it to be denial or not. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
  2. No need to delete anything, just allow people to choose which ones they want to play. As that-game-SWTOR-failed-to-beat has been doing for many many years.
  3. I'm no expert but my guess would be that it gets mitigated by the mobs' armor rating.
  4. Pre-leveling sounds great when fighting "fodder" (with this I mean unimportant mobs of all kind) but imo it doesn't really cut it for boss fights. You are supposed to struggle against them, not roflstomp them! It's just not climatic enough. It's a tough situation, because fighting boss on the same level as you are isn't very immersive either. Being forced to use 30 lightsaber movements to bring down an enemy is a bit ridiculous and it makes you look like this, but the complete opposite (which is what happens when you are a level 55 char fighting anyone under level... 30?) just isn't compelling at all. Sure, you can stay there without clicking on any ability and just let your character block or evade every attack from your enemy until you get bored enough to kill them with a single real move, but it isn't exactly my idea of fun. I love your HUD though!
  5. Many people are in this game to enjoy the storylines and nothing is worse for that purpose than being sent in front of Revan (for example) without knowing why you are even there. And that's only one of the many reasons.
  6. Best SWTOR news (for me, anyway) I've heard since... I can't remember when. Thanking them, though? I sure welcome the addition but charity and altruism wasn't what moved them; it's the potential profits of the housing+Cartel Market combination that did.
  7. If you already have a Juggernaut then go Sentinel. It will make for a fresher experience.
  8. Aye, it's about damn time already. I can't believe this hasn't been fixed yet. You only get one chance to make a first impression and this sure doesn't speak well of flashpoints to someone new to the game.
  9. Well, to be fair I've seen a few people leveling up a base class as some kind of challenge.
  10. No, this was after the round of layoffs had happened. I think it's what Aries_cz, Ohlen earned a pretty bad reputation after many things he had said were proven as false (remember all the talking about how a big group fighting an enormous enemy just isn't heroic?) so they probably decided it was better if he stayed silent and pretty much hidden in a dungeon, lol.
  11. If I leave SWTOR it won't be to play another MMO, too tired of them, I'm just here because of Star Wars and because I've still got some classes to play. So I will either stay or stick to single player games.
  12. The Korriban and Tython flashpoints sure look promising but I really hope this new storyline doesn't end up being gated behind raiding later. I hate it when that happens (as it did with Oricon). Quesh Huttball being finally confirmed is good news, can't wait to play it! I love Huttball and would be able to play it infinitely. I'd have wished for this road map to get a bit more specific about the things coming later, but I understand your wariness. Also, please give us the option to opt out of double xp. Yes, most people love it. But no, not everyone does.
  13. I didn't dislike TESO but as someone who hasn't played any of the former TES games aside from a few hours I couldn't really get into it, I just felt out of place. At the same time, it's the TES fans, single player gamers, who are more critical of that game since they don't think a MMO (let alone a themepark) is what that franchise is about and they say it ruins their immersion and so on. SWTOR had a bit of that problem too since many people including me would have prefered KOTOR 3, but unlike TES everyone and their mothers know Star Wars, the Jedi. the Dark Side, and so on, so it has a way broader appeal. So yeah... one way or the other I think TESO is probably going to flop. If anything I'd be more concerned about Wildstar, it doesn't have an established IP behind it but it has had more favorable reviews than TESO. Star Wars is Star Wars and it'll always have its niche. Many people, from many games' playerbases, will probably go play those games and then go back to their former games in 1 or 2 months. It's always like this. Even at its lowest point SWTOR managed to survive the release of Guild Wars 2, which was a considerably better and more appealing game. This game still has many flaws and I'll be forever resentful of them dropping the class stories (thankfully I still have some classes left to play), but as a whole the game is in a decent shape now, they have improved many things and it's making money through the CM. I'm sure it will do just fine this year; they just need to reveal a new expansion asap since GSF didn't really cut it for the many of us who don't care about space pvp.
  14. Then it might have just been a matter of pure chance that I've never seen her doing so in the dozens of posts I've read from her.
  15. Don't forget Sir-Marty, our other gaming legend, although far from the one and only Sir Copperfield. Another one that stands out a bit is CosmicKat (sp?), the one with the Vette avatar. Pretty critical/skeptical of many things (sometimes rightfully so). A bit of a necessary counter to Andryah's white knighting.
  16. From what I remember, 95% of the things they said back then were already known (anything significant was saved for the media and different gaming sites), so realistically I think it would be kind of pointless. I welcome any step forward in the relationship with the community though.
  17. I definitely agree about the Bounty Hunter being possibly the best. The only problem is that sometimes you are treated as an Imperial loyalist or close to it by some NPCs, but most times you are able to answer them that you don't really care about what they're saying and that you are just there for the credits. It mostly depends on your character alignment too, though. Some work when they're LS (Knight, Consular, Trooper), some work when they're DS (BH, and maybe IA -although the latter should be more focused on their urgent missions) and some others just don't really feel very coherent either way (Sith classes especially: the dark-sided would theoretically be too arrogant and self-absorbed to bother with "inferior tasks" and the LS ones would refuse doing some evil things the Empire asks you to do in several side quests, making your character a bit bipolar if you want to do everything).
  18. Qui-Gon was actually the character I was reminded of the most while playing the Consular (I've leveled one 1-55 during the last month). I don't know if it was intentional, but it just was what I felt. Yoda was obviously a Jedi Sage too, though. As for the Knight, I've rolled a neutral one and he is pretty much the same as Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars/early RotS.
  19. I don't know about the US servers, but there's only 1 EU English PvP server: Tomb of Freedon Nadd. Not much choice there unless you speak German or French
  20. Thanks Eric, looking forward to it!
  21. First, I agree with people who are telling you not to jump to conclussions so early. Second, it wouldn't be weird for the first movie on the trilogy to focus quite a bit on the more grown up characters (besides, you know Hamill/Ford/Fisher being back, no matter their age, is likely to be the main selling point for millions of fans all over the world) and by the end of it show them passing the torch to the younger characters. It would make for a smooth transition. And about their physical condition, especially Hamill and Fisher's, Hollywood has the best coaches out there, capable of doing some miracles.
