  1. I got my mine working. I tried this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=729911, didn't seem to help, but just in case it was a required step. The other thing I tried was a reboot of my computer. Not sure if it just need a reboot (had been on and ran the game before previous patch) or if both were required to fix. Hope this helps others!

  4. Same boat: http://i.imgur.com/40zmglc.jpg
  5. Today is the first day I've tried, but I can't get the patch to download either. Mine doesn't crash, it just get's an error: "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again" http://i.imgur.com/40zmglc.jpg
  6. It is different this time. You're bored because there's very little actual game left (except the stuff you've likely already done to death in the 5 years....)
  7. 50 characters was too small for even the link, had to use tinyurl. What a joke, they really didn't want to read the feedback is what this tells me.
  8. The question "Is there anything you would like changed to improve your experience with SWTOR Knights of the Eternal Throne?" was laughably small 50 characters. So I'm gonna put my answer here and send them a link. So many things: 1. The Veteran chapter difficulty should be such that a new player could beat it with level 1 comps (since you force us to use some). I would like the difficulty of this level to be closer to what it was pre KofFE companion changes, maybe a little tougher but not much. Master should be the super hard one. 2. Bring back operations and flashpoints if you expect to keep calling/charging as if this was an MMO. 3. Remove the RNG gearing system. I honestly don't care if you want to open the ability to get the best gear sets through single player means, but making it random for everyone is terrible. You should have just made it so you could get the gearing crystals through other means. 4. If companions are such a big deal and you have 8 million to choose from, let us choose which ones we play through the story with. Each chapter you are locked into bring the companion that fits the story, so I never get to play the companion I want. Ironically this was a problem before as well, but because of role not story. You listened to feedback and completely failed to understand the heart of it.... typical... You should make it so that in the story you a forced story companion and companion of your choosing if having that story companion is so important... 5. Stop treating us like we're stupid and we can't see through your marketing ploys. It was really insulting to hear 'RNG is fun' during the last live stream. RNG is not fun, it's just a way to stretch customers along, plain and simple.
  9. I understand what you're saying. I just disagree with what/how they implemented it. Playing the story combat is boring. I shouldn't have to go grind something somewhere just to get the non-boring combat. This is clearly designed more like a single player game and in a single player game you choose the difficulty setting, not jump through hoops to unlock it.
  10. The whole last 2 expansions have been a slap in the face. At this point none of us should feel like the devs are slapping us in the face. It's more like this by now: https://media.giphy.com/media/sMQaLHK09I4w0/giphy.gif
  11. Update: She couldn't fight the monsters in the temple solo due to their self heal, so I helped a little. Right now I'm watching her do the 3 mob 'boss battle' solo. It's slow going, she's only got 1 of 3 down to 85%, but neither I nor her have dropped below 80% so it's just a matter of time. Go game go! Play the heck out of yourself! I haven't felt this good since I payed someone to play Pokemon Go for me!
  12. Not finished yet. So far it's a pretty good movie, but a pretty poor game. This should say thank the writers, if anything... http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9149592#post9149592
  13. I should note my comp is clearing story mode in heal spec, not even DPS.
  14. I wrote this post after feeling optimistic that I beat chapter 1 on Vet mode without too much trouble. Then chapter 2 starts and I'm given a new unleveled comp and it becomes impossible, you die in like 5 hits, even using defenisve cooldowns, decent gear (I bought a full complement of 210 mods), and being level 67, which I would think is high for chapter 2. Now to further test the absurdity I've been playing through chapter 2 with all the same stuff on story. Telling my comp to attack and me not doing anything. It takes a bit, but there's never ANY threat of dying and the level 1 comp kills everything, even in pulls of 5 or more. What a joke! So you're choices for first play-through of chapter 2 are so easy you don't even have to play or so impossible you can't win the first fight. I'm beyond the point of caring that story difficulty is a super easy to the point of absurdity, but the MIDDLE option should be playable on first go round, otherwise player that enjoy a challenge will NEVER stick around (especially when you have essentially taken Ops and PvP away)
  15. Good point. Didn't even think about the companions it's literally impossible to grind.
  16. 20 LOL. Like I said I left after 1-9 so my highest is 11. I didn't grind through sith to level up already OP companions. Despite that I did get vet on 1 or 2, but it wasn't worth fighting through the over buffed difficulty. I wasn't asking for Dark Souls, I was just asking for the difficulty the game had before their brave new vision.
  17. I left after 1-9 of KotFE. I was annoyed about the lack of new raids and PvP, but that wasn't the main reason, I don't have time for those anymore anyway, sadly. I enjoyed the story itself, but the difficulty had been nerfed so low it wasn't fun. The combat was pretty much press 1 repeatedly or just let your comps kill everything in between movies. It had become Star Wars: Interactive DVD Experience. They fixed this briefly but unbuffing the accidentally god-moded comps, but then babies cried out and they turned god mode back on. I guess the majority of player would rather watch their game play itself. Which is fine, but not for me. Before I left I suggested toggling the difficulty like a single player game, as that's pretty much all it is now. When I heard they were putting in multiple difficulty modes, I got excited. They listened. I'll certainly come back and give them a chance (despite the numerous other horrible things I was hearing about the new changes). Turns out it wasn't what I had hoped for at all. In veteran mode you have to have a god-mode comp to have the slightest bit of chance at survival, but many chapters force you to play with brand new level 1 comps that give you no chance at the higher difficulty. So basically you want me to play through the game on baby mode, then grind up a large number of forced companion levels to play at a decent difficulty. Nope, I'm done. This is just a joke. Since I've already paid for a month I'll finish the story (if I can manage to not fall asleep during every combat section) and troll the forums a bit before I lapse again, probably forever.
  18. You realize talking to yourself is generally considered to be a sign of a serious mental illness. That would explain your other posts though. Nvm.
  19. I haven't played the new stuff yet, but in KOTFE they buffed companions to demigods to make everything easy mode. I'm honestly hoping that veteran mode is essentially the game as it was before KOTFE with normal strength comps (that would be considered severely nerfed by today's standards).
  20. I was gonna finish his sentence as "because I really like crap", but his post was more or less the same. Well played OP!
  21. I don't think it's terrible. Would be a lot better without the red glow. However, even if it doesn't look as good, I find this one of the few changes I actually like. Function > Appearance any day.
