Yomitako Posted November 26, 2012 Share Posted November 26, 2012 I sadly dropped 120 bucks on coins, and was only after 2 things, a white crystal and a Throne, none of which i got, the gamble boxes are silly, but at least i learnt a lesson. Patience...yep, i just need to wait for the Elder Scrolls online to drop for my new MMO fix. Just sell your cartel pack stuff for credits, or direct trade for the throne and/or the crystal. The gambling boxes aren't silly at all, it's a completely optional thing for people to throw a few bucks at (or a few hundred as I've read in some cases). It's done amazing things in creating an aftermarket in the GTN, and for the new F2P players, or returning players making new toons as a refresher, the XP boosts in the packs also sell in droves. I spent as much as you and a few hundred more and i got 5 Throne chairs, 3 masks and at least 4 to 5 of all the rare weapons. Quite a few rare pets and statues. I also got a total of 15 molecular stabalizers. Also got 15 pink 41 end crystals, 5 41 expertise, and 4 41 power, 4 crit and 2 white ones. Seems some people are getting good rng. Guess you need to use your money tosave forthe furure,instead of buying "useless online stuff". $240 bucks buys me a real life chair or couch or alot of groceries. It's just the people that go: "I didn't get the item I wanted, Bioware cheated my out of my coins!!!" who simply need to learn that Dice have no memory. The only thing honestly that i wanted for myself was a Covert Belt, i really wanted this to complete a look on one of my characters. So recap, I got a boat-load of stuff out of the 90 some packs i opened.... No throne No Covert Belt -- really .... no covert belt, that's like the only thing i wanted! You spent all that money to get an item that isn't even in the packs? There is no Covert Belt. You could have gone to one of several websites that maintain databases on all the in-game items and found that out before you spent your money. As for the throne, not sure what server you're on but, on The Harbinger, they are going for around 2 million right now. I don't think $240 for a couple million credits is much of a deal. You could easily sell some of your stuff and get a couple of million credits or the overlord throne or pretty much any item from the packs off the GTN. This confirm what i belive that there is no monkey lizzard in those packs.They know people want one so this is how they get people to buy more, did not get one myself. That is just evil and greedy beyond.Did anyone actually get one ? Have not seen anyone ingame with one either. False advertising. LOL, you're dead wrong. I got one in the packs and there have been about 3-4 pages of them listed on the GTN on The Harbinger since a day or two after the first set of timers started dropping off pack items. Not bashing you for spending your money on the gambling packs. Your cash, your fun. But if you really do have a surplus of disposable income right now, how about shooting $10 or $20 to a charity that does some good? The Big Fluffy Dog Rescue is one of my favorites. They save good, loving, amazing dogs from some of the worst conditions people put them into, and they always need financial help with anything from transport to vet bills (repairing wounded dogs is spendy). Or, heck, pick a favorite of your own. Just please consider the percentage of donations used to do good vs. to pay overhead (read: extraordinarily high officer salaries). But atleast it dropped 2 Nihilus wich is as rare as the throne congratz and that was one crazy but nice move from your part to buy so many packs, once again, i don't think that belts drop from cartel packs.
