A lead (quest in DK or Coruscant) can now be completed to yield the Akar Kesh Mediation Mask.

That is all! :D

Ehhh... I don't know if it's just me or not, but starting "A Lead" in Coruscant finished both "A Lead" and "Another Lead" for some reason. I'm now locked out of "Another Lead" but don't have the GAR item.

Hopefully they add more Jedi/Sith rewards for my Sith alt.

Why would a group without access to the Force make items for Force-sensitives? HOW would they make items for those Force-sensitives? How would they be tested? Testing sabers could be very tragic. At least with ranged weapons you are likely ok as long as you point the business end away from yourself.

Yeah, there's no reward from "Another Lead" except some credits. I'm hoping this doesn't fully lock me out of completing this event.

Again as people said in the other thread. The Chevin are obviously into collecting stuff, so they probably have hundreds of lightsabers stored somewhere. What stops them from selling them? Nothing.

It seems to be bugged so I'd wait at least untill the daily reset. Hopefully BW can shed some light on those bugs. They seem to be very talkative lately.

It is bugged for Republic players, the Empire version is unaffected.

You do have to watch out for other players, though. I had someone who had taken the quest before me repair my droid, which meant I couldn't do it to move on and I failed the quest. I ran back and someone was nice enough to group with me but then he didn't get credit when we completed the quest, though he did when the crate respawned and he clicked it again (thinking he had to do the quest over). The first group I had been in with another character went smooth as ice so I was surprised when this person told me he didn't get credit. Seems to be several bugs with this event.

Thanks Dulfy for your hints.

I was able to get enough ToE for my bowcaster on my agent, do the 3 DK missions, 5/6 of Vandrayk’s Tuning Apparatus, and finish "A Questionable Motive". More tonight. :)

One question and one suggestion. Is there supposed to be a follow on to "A Questionable Motive" the cut scene at the end mentioned a task but no quest was given. In the last part of "A Questionable Motive" when using the vents in the casino, it took a couple of times to get it down for me. It wasn't obvious how the "green circles" worked at first. Perhaps a hint in your guide about how the green circles work. ;)

Yes you should have received 3 new missions in your mail, they are called A lead, Another Lead, and A new Lead.

I can also definitely put in a hint for the green circles :D

Edited: Due to feedback from the previous event, the items are actually on a global unlock. I've fixed the writing below to reflect this. Also fixed some other wording.

Hi folks,

We wanted to inform you all that there is currently an issue with the missions A Lead, A New Lead, and Another Lead. The way the Chevin Event works is that players can find the first six items of the mission The Grand Acquisitions Race whenever at their leisure. The next three items will unlock on a daily basis for everyone, regardless of what step players are on in the main event quest. (item #7 unlocks today, item #8 tomorrow, and item #9 unlocks on Friday).

Players are currently running into an issue that when they complete the mission, A Lead (item #7), the UI marks Another Lead (item #9) as complete with no item given to the player.

DO NOT WORRY. These three missions are merely hints. You DO NOT need this mission to appear in your Mission Log in order to activate it. It will unlock on a daily basis as I outlined earlier.

To be clear, you can STILL play these missions even if they are marked as complete. You just have to wait for their specific daily unlock.

For your convenience, I have posted the text for each mission below:

A Lead (Item #7 - Akar Kesh Meditation mask): A Sniffer droid is available to aid you in your search for the Akar Kesh Meditation mask, but is still undergoing programming. [unlocks today]

A New Lead (Item #8 - Black-and-Orange Sphere): Sapaaga the Hutt is refusing to speak to anyone at this time. Check back with the Hutt observation droid at the Lower Promenade on Nar Shaddaa later, when the Hutt's string of losses may have made him more inclined to negotiate. [unlocks tomorrow]

Another Lead (Item #9 - Plasma-Sealed Jar): A Republic Slicing Droid is tapping into the Transportation Network Terminal in Shadowtown in Nar Shaddaa to locate information leading the Plasma-Sealed Jar. [unlocks Friday]

Nice. Thanks.

What about the imp side bug that completes all items. Some players have done this not in the means of exploiting, but playing the game as they normally would. Are their characters bugged now for the entire event or do they simple miss out on doing those last 3 item discovery quests but nothing else?

Well there goes my plan of doing one toon a day on the main questline. I think it really should be that they unlock at a specified time after the event start, not after you finish the first quest.

The only thing that I know of that people miss out on if they don't reset the main quest is you won't get the 5 tokens for the various 'Lead' quests; you can still do the quests in that you can go back to check on the droid and get credits/XP but you can't escort it since you already have that item. If you got the items by normally doing space missions, hopefully you didn't turn in the quest and you can just reset the main mission (and not lose the items you got legitimately) and continue as intended.

Thank you for posting.

I have a little concern though.

Before I completed the 'A Lead' on Corosant, I was able to interact with both the DROID and the PANEL on the crate the droid is working on in Nar Shadda (Another Lead). (got these big red text letters saying 'slicing droid has not completed its investigation plz come back later ')

After completing 'A Lead', I can interact with the droid BUT i can not interact with the panel on the crate any more (Another Lead).

I'm hoping we only need the interact with the 'DROID' to complete the quest correct? and not the panel when the quest unlocks

I got an email, I dont rrecall what it said but i do not think it had lead in it, (going from memory, completed 6 of 9 missions last night.) IS there something that I am missing??

Shard of Harterra (Republic)

Collected Writings of Tiethiagg (Republic)

Perserved Colicoid Queen Egg (Republic)

Fossilized Krayt Dragon Pearl (Both factions)

Vandrayk’s Tuning Apparatus (Both factions)

Rakata Eating Utensils (Both factions)

And I didnt find anything for dubious motives, did I miss something?

There were 3 emails each with an attachemt. Once you put the attachements in your inventory, clicking on each one gave the 3 missions Dulfy mentioned. :)
