  1. Agreed. Replay was enhanced by the 8 personal stories. With this new tact, not so much. Well done EA ... well done.
  2. BW said they wouldn't do this because it would be too hard. I saw their point once upon a time but, now with no more personal story there is nothing really holding them back from doing this post level 50. But you do realize it will only be available in the CM Store ... right?
  3. Isn't there an option on the clock in the UI to desplay "server time" and "local time"? I thought there was or maybe that was WoW. Actually I thought that was a feature in most MMORPGs. Anyway if there isn't a "server time" setting then put one in the game. If there is. Wouldn't that fit what you are asking for OP?
  4. Which is ironic given how much potential this game "had". Face it SWTOR is "just another theme park" now and a poorly done one at that.
  5. I read on these forums somewhere that F2P + Store is much akin to "reality TV". Since "the masses" eat it up and it's less expensive to produce than normal Television programs, reality programs actually make more money. I guess that same mentality is extended to the "content" ( and yes EA views EVERYTHING in the CM Store as content) in the CM Store.
  6. I suspect the level of legacy suggested to be lower was due to the fact that if one ONLY has one character ( there are those that only play one character and those that only play one character at at time ( blasphemy I know .. I mean you have to juggle 8 allts all at the same time right .. er wait that's just us altoholics. ). So by the time you get ONE level 50 (with no alts) to level 50 your legacy level is prolly just cresting level 20. That is why people suggested that ( and I am fine with it). I know that this double exp thing is a "pandora's box" of sorts but really it's only a small manipulation of "rested" exp to include the exp for finishing quests in addition to the already double exp for killing mobs. Not much of a boost overall ( and tbh not needed because SWTOR leveling is very fast) but, for those that want to only play end game this seems like a good thing. People that are levelers pretty much like going thru the leveling progression. This really would be a win overall and tbh, it doesn't really take away from someone elses play experience if someone levels faster. Making double exp a part of legacy would be a good thing overall. If one doesn't want to "purchase" the unlock, then one is free not to do so.
  7. Meh one can hope given some of the writters are still here (like Hall Hood). I still question this direction given BW (prior to the Dr.s leaving) always maintained that they had much of the stories already written beyond chapter 3. If this is true why not just develop these stories? BW also maintained that much of the VO for those "future chapters" was done ahead of time so it wouldn't be so much a matter of "assembling the team" again as someone above described. Again what gives? If the stories are written and have already been voiced, why not? I know I am synical but, I really do think it has to do with no CM Store value. The new creedo for SWTOR (more and more) is "If it can't be sold in the CM Store, it's not worth developing."
  8. I don't care "when" (I was just trying to give meaning to legacy level 26 I mean you get nothing for 25 legacy levels (what's the point) ) but, ONE level 50 character is a must have. One should have to play through the game at the pace intended before double exp. As it stands now leveling is ridiculously fast as it is without double experience but, I can see how repeating the same LINEAR quest path can be tiresome.
  9. Actually CWTCR is freaking hilarious. The ™'s added for effect nothing more. You are being pedantic. You attacked the messenger with the above quoted text AND you engaged in "rules" that you often decry. So I am calling YOU out on this like you do to so many others: Play by your own rules or don't "judge" others and be a hypocrit. Talk about hypebole.
  10. By the time you get to Legacy 50 (if you are optimizing) you will no longer need doulbe exp. I think Legacy level 26 AND one level 50 character would be more appropriate AND make it an optional unlock that noone HAS to unlock.
  11. Translation: We are abandoning Personal Class Stories (they don't make enough money and we can't find a way to sell them in the CM Store). Best part of SWTOR was those personal stories. Since other MMORPGs are adopting VO, personal stories were the only thing that made SWTOR "different".
  12. Isn't STO the game were lock boxes "drop as loot" but you have to buy keys to open them in their store?
  13. At the very end of server merges did everyone get auto moved or is the "transfer page" on live accounts still activate? I was all moved over by then.
  14. You see the Matrix too! I thought it was just me?!? /agreed.
  15. Ridiculous! I give you zero copperfields.
  16. This thread needs ... How to at (but for SWTOR).
  17. Getting close to the forum rules with that one. By, that and that alone none of us should post. Ever! I am now. I used to be Joli Bindo, but now I am Moriarty.
  18. Why is it so hard to understand that if the "loyalty reward" of subscribing in the form of coins is "not freely given" then it is a bait and switch. If they continue to add "content" that should be part of the subscription, that we have to use our stipend to pay for, we are NOT being rewarded for our loyalty because we can not "freely spend" our coins on the "cosmetic content" because we have to save the coins up to pay for things we should be getting anyway!!!!! THAT is NOT a LOYALTY REWARD. That is a bait and switch. But, that is par for the course for EA. I used to support your view until I saw how we were getting screwed by EA with the ruse of a "loyalty reward" that they were just going to take back from us.
  19. How about you recognise that Eric is not exactly always very clear? I am happy with the amount of interaction but, I still see posts that can be miss understood. Case in point the one addressing what will be part of customization ( usually "barber shop" features). It would have been much clearer to just tell us what we are getting. I find it hard to believe that this "feature" is not already complete or "mostly complete" and undergoing "in house" testing, that he could not have been more clear in his description of what is coming so as to have cut this thread by about 90%. I am really getting tired of you avoiding the issues at hand with clear communication. I will not buy into your argument that people will complain no matter what so why bother wait and see. The Storm was created by Eric by not being clear in the first place and he should step up and be clear and shut this whole storm down.
  20. I support your view Cel. I would add one thing: the communication is still not "clear" and can be "confusing" and many of the firestorms that erupt seem mainly to be due to this factor.
  21. Why is is "rocket science" for you to understand that if the "loyalty reward" of subscribing in the form of coins is "not freely given" then it is a bait and switch. 22. ^This. I am sorry but, Eric is no clearer than Joveth and those that came before him. It may not be his fault but, there is a pattern of confused "information" coming from the EA community team. Why not just freaking say what you mean and mean what you say? Why all the spin all the time.
