I'm a little disappointed the melee are not much higher than the ranged. A couple hundred points higher on a stationary target and never getting knocked backed means on a love raid mon the ranged classes are probably way above the melee.

Managed to get in a quick test with full class buffs before the raid a couple days ago -

Class/Spec - Assault Vanguard

Stats/Gear - all rakata, some black hole and augments

Edit: Currently there's a bug regarding our Plasma Cell DoT which makes for a fair dps loss. It should tick once as soon as it is applied by our filler (Ion Pulse) or by our "auto-attack" but that doesn't happen, effectively doing 2/3 of it's intended damage. http://tinypic.com/r/1ep8ix/6 here's a screen with the dot ticking twice over its 6 sec duration w/o critting (took a while to get both ticks to not crit D: )

Updated results for me:

 

Name: Crommi

Class: Guardian

Spec: Vigilance 2/33/6

DPS: 1297 class-buffed, 1399 fully-buffed

 

Gear breakdown:

4x Campaign / Black Hole

9x Rakata (some with Columi enhancement due to Rakata set having excessive accuracy by default)

4x Might Augment

Matrix Cube (as per rules)

Priority list:

Master Strike (full) > Sundering Strike > Plasma Brand > Overhead Slash > Blade Storm

Using Saber Throw and Combat focus as needed.

 

Notes: Basically I did two runs, first with the setup and buffs that I consider to be in line with the intention of this topic and second run using all the buffs apart from adrenals which were clearly not allowed. Also adjusted my rotation, seems like full 3 second channel of Master Strike is the way to go, just make sure you keep using Sundering Strike often as possible to sustain your rotation.

 

Try plugging your numbers into a parser that will separate your bleeds (burns for Guardians) from each of your abilities. (ie http://www.fryingtime.com/) This will allow you to accurately add those bleed numbers into your average damage per strike for each ability. When I did this I found that Shatter (Plasma Brand) actually has the highest damage per global cooldown followed by Force Scream (Blade Storm) (~600 less than Shatter), -100% chance to crit is amazing- then Impale (Overhead Strike)(~100 less than Scream), then Ravage (Master Strike)(~60 less than Impale).

 

Using those results I've been able to change my priority to Sundering Strike > Shatter > Scream > Impale > Ravage. We have very similar gear and with the same buffs I'm able to pull ~100-150 more DPS than the numbers you're posting over a 3 min period.

 

At first glance I thought Ravage would be my main priority because it did such a high % of my total damage done but after taking the avg dmg x3 and then dividing it by 2, (3 hits per ravage, over 2 global cooldowns) I found this to be quite a bit lower on my priority list.

I'll have to look into that once I can spec back into DPS (boo tanks for slacking off!)

But I'm pretty sure I saw my DPS increase once I moved Master Strike (Ravage) to top priority post-1.2 patch, due to it's buffed damage and free cost (less GCDs wasted on Strike).

This is insanely high for a sniper, which training dummy did you use? The only training dummy to be used in these tests is the Operations training dummy.

Am I missing something here? Where are the screenshots? Its not "insanely" high imo, but I still dont see any screenies, just a link to a skill calc.

Check this mornings tests with my commando. Clearly my rotations are not optimized, will need to check the best one. Also pls note I use the PVP weapon and the 2 Rakata gear which are giving me accuracy rating which I don't need (need surge or power asap). No campaign gear also.

I used TORParse on a 6 minute fight, but otherwise the parameters of my test are the same as listed in the original post of this thread.

This is just an alt, so the gear isn't very good. Parsed using only class buffs, hyper-battle willpower stim, and absolutely NO ADRENALS and NO CLICK TRINKET USED.
