Dekkau
That's an update every week, sometimes more than once a week, with bug fixes and improvements, for months. We can't even get a f'n combat log turned on. Yeh... 1.7 Hotfix 10 15th March, Hotfix 9 9th March, Hotfix 8 6th March... And some of the hotfixes are more than bug fixes. Nothing stays bust for more than a day or two. Trion do look after their customers.
Andryah
With Rift update 1.8 they will be adding a new raid that looks outstanding Infernal Dawn with many bosses. I have to say the raiding in rift blows swtor away! There is no game in the market that is as deep at endgame as Rift. Instant Adventures Chronicles Master Mode Dungeons Rift And Zone Events Ember isle Talent advancement way past 50 PvP Warfronts Achievement System Pvp open world Rifts Raids that are visually incredible & don't suck Well, all I can say is... Chronicles.... LOL... and the "post 50 advancement" that it brings Major patch events..... tiring after the 3rd one. PvP.....average Open World Rifting.... PvE/PvP ...winner... and only innovative thing in Rift besides their skill spec system. Trion has done a good job with their game administration and updates, but nothing earth shattering or paradigm shifting in MMOs. And it is certainly premature to compare Bioware to Trion in terms of longer term administration of their game properties. Touchbass
I'm still eagerly waiting on the first damn patch, none of this should of been in launch BS but advertising as a content patch 1 month later crap. Really looking what the legacy system has to offer ... so slow though

Ozzone
but rift is terribly boring. Have they fixed that yet? Want to know the terribly boring part? PvP. They made weak attempts of forcing PvP but just didn't quite get it right. PvPers left and server populations dropped. Rift, like some other games, was a PvE game trying to do PvP and failed. People should take heed. PvPers in this game are losing interest fast. If there is an exodus, chances are PvPers will be leading the pack. What impact it has with the game only time will tell. Just remember the impact it had with Rift.
seallone
You know what's funny? Every time I hear someone bring up Rift and their patches they only talk about the major content updates. Like your 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, ect. ect. Never do I see them list a patch like a 1.5.1 or a 1.6.1. You know those patches that Bioware is currently doing to the 1.1 content patch. So for our viewing pleasure. Rifts 1.6.1 patch! RIFT 1.6.1 Hotfix #5 - 8:00am PDT 12/28/11 [NA] - 2:00am GMT 29/12/11 [EU] GENERAL * PvP Achievements: Behind Enemy Lines can now be completed by closing any rift in Silverwood / Gloamwood for Defiants, and Freemarch / Stonefield for Guardians. * While on the quest ‘Unworking the Ritual’ any air rift that grants experience should drop air sourcestone when closed * Instant Adventure Daily quests should now be listed under “Meridian” or “Sanctum” in your quest log * Level 50 players completing Instant Adventure Daily quests will now get more XP * Recipes that are loot drops from monsters, dungeons, or rifts should no longer be BoP ZONES * Hammerknell: The general population of Hammerknell will drop items more frequently. * Hammerknell: Darktide Mists should no longer reset aggro while engaged in combat DUNGEONS * Players completing Expert 1 Dungeon Dailies now have a choice of reward, either 6 Plaques of Achievement or 2 Marks of Ascension * Players completing Expert 2 Dungeon Dailies now have a choice of reward, either 6 Plaques of Achievement, 2 Marks of Ascension, or 1 Greater Mark of Ascension 9 Whole things fixed!!! OMG such an amazing patch! See this is what gets me when people talk about patches. They seem to forget the difference between a Major Content Patch, aka 1.(insert number here) and a Incremental Hotfix Patch. aka you 1.(Random Number).(Random Number) does 8vs 8 work in that game, Would like to know, Perfer the looks of this game but its no mmo
Paralassa
Hi there! There are already active discussion threads for discussing game updates: Coming in Game Update 1.2 will this game survive before 1.2? 1.2 really should have been 1.0 In the interest of consolidating discussion, we have closed this thread and ask that you use the ones linked above for any further discussion. Thank you!
