Amyas
Edit because of people trying to be cute. With out the starwars name and such is this a good MMO? You know wear I am going with this it is a valid question. If this was a MMO with out the star wars franchise on the label would you be playing it. I would have to say nope no way. bsmolke
I dunno, this brought me back to MMOs... Mostly because it's SW
Dreossk
No. Too many missing features and the gameplay is dumbed down too much. Edited February 12, 2012 by Dreossk
Arnokar
Sure, if it was'nt SWTOR, it wouldn't get such a bad rap... Does need some improvements though.

Runeshard
Depends on what it would be instead. Seeing as I'm loving the stories and like a lot of things about the game chances are pretty high that I would.
BrokenHaiku
My first thought is no, it feels unfinished and technically it's very poor, but when I think about it - yes I probably would. Given the great story telling and sci-fi theme, once I had seen it in action I'd be hooked.
Atroc
Dragon Age and Mass Effect worked perfectly and have been unknown IP's before launch. I trust BioWare could have done it easily with a third one. My answer is clearly yes, because the storywriting and the way they realize it in their games is unrivaled. MackumDog
yes if this wasnt a game, and we were all getting our butts kicked by Jedi, it would ruin my day
Swordsaintt
I sure would. I love Bioware's story lines. To me this is just a never ending sandbox of Bioware goodness. Not saying the game is perfect. There are still plenty of bugs to be worked out, and there is plenty of room for expansion, but I'm hooked. DervimNorth
I'd still sub for it, only because of BW being developer...By the way, my sub ends withing a month and a half, BW, get a clue, pull your heads out of...wherever they are stuck and start working on fixing the darn bugs+balancing classes...But mostly balancing classes. ducksmyth
It would be better without the Star Wars. Nothing ages so poorly as science fiction and Star Wars is ancient. Plus the morality choices would be open rather than the clumsy comic book villain empire choices. Hopefully its just a test run for a Mass Effect MMO Edited February 12, 2012 by ducksmyth

Atroc
Not MMOs single player games with no fee . Dragon Age and Mass Effect just to name examples of their art of storytelling. We all experience the story in a BioWare MMO right now, so yes - I would play it even if it wasn't StarWars.

MackSevenThree
Nope, only reason I am here is Star Wars... and that is only barely holding me right now. Unless the game drastically changes with 1.2, I'm out
wessik
if this wasn't star wars, then no i wouldn't be playing this mmo... however, i also wouldn't play any other mmo unless it was star wars... i would play plenty of other single player games though... if you are indirectly trying to infer that this mmo is bad, then no, i don't think this mmo is bad... mrsrachelm
Easy answer for me...yep. I think this game is great. I love the voice acting, I think the story lines are intense, the graphics are beautiful, I like having the companions and the interactions both good and/or bad with them which can change. I'm having a wonderful time!
NasherUK
It's sad, but the game was better during beta (the build before the final build). They removed some nice features for un-explained or silly reasons, dispite everyone complaining that it was a stupid idea. The overall game is good, I'm enjoying it FAR more than I did wow before I left. But it's the little things that need work. For an modern MMO I'd at least expect to be able to sit on chairs, or use one of the many casinos around the game. SWTOR's world is very detailed but only about 1% of it is interactive. It also need more interaction between imperial and republic outside of combat (this is supposed to be an RPG). The most annoying one was them removing twi'lek commando and bounty hunters, because they were to lazy to actually fix the clipping on the lekku :/ Edited February 12, 2012 by NasherUK
