  1. Its meh.. Seems more like Star Fox on speed tbh.. "Do a Barrel Roll Fox" The sound/feeling and mechanics that are killing it for me. The sound of getting hit is rather non existent, All you really have to go by is the red flashes on HUD and your copilot whining. The feel is just meh, the target reticle is garbage, or i should say target reticle's as there is more than one. I really hate the way you can't lead enough or too much. its real sloppy imo, the guns should be fixed and the lead guide would be fine. Once a missile is locked and fired its almost impossible to miss then its Star Fox time... "DO A BARREL ROLL FOX"!!!!" sometimes its better to just eat the missile... would have been happy with just Chaff or Flare tbh.. So far I dont even think the environment even blocks the missile. So much crap to run into and those nodes in the base type things are a real buzz kill.... well having nodes period is a buzz kill... All in all its supposed to be Star Wars>>>> Attacking/Defending a base or cap ships, escorting bombers... You can get this kind of Node space play in about every other arcade space shooter and some are a lot better than this. Its strange BIOWARE you have access to all this Lucas stuff and you missed the B.O.P (Balance or Power) pack for XvT That was one of the greatest Mission/PVE/PVE mixture of all time in a space game, you could Co-op/ to run the missions for PVE or actually human players on the other faction for a PVP while doing the mission... Oh well!!!
  2. Star Conflict is way better than this so please don't insult that game.
  3. Star Conflict is a way better game than GS. When I am in the mood for an arcade space shooter I loose hours on that game. T1 is a blast, I just recently hit T III the game is insane and dramatic. Its never over till the clock is done lol
  4. I didn't really say i liked Freelancer ... Loved the story though!
  5. I know this...And I was expecting an arcade space shooter, IE: Star Conflict... In fact if you love GS i would really advise you to try Star Conflict its far better action space shooter than this.. Same drill with the nodes expect better maps and classes of ships. Its Star Wars and Related to my toons so yeah ill give this a go but my initial vibe is not good. I don't know maybe I am missing something, maybe it gets better as you unlock more stuff... We will see i guess.
  6. Could you please give me the location of this bigger audience you speak of? That is a pretty lame excuse for poor game design imo.. At first I was bummed as I for some reason thought Bioware was going to rip off Star Conflict.. Now i wish they would have lol.. SOE and PS 2, would be considered by many one of the hardest games to get into flying as the mechanics throw logic out the window, but after you wrap your brain around that fact it becomes very challenging and enjoyable and yes very easy to learn as the sky is loaded with Pilots in PS2... So when did accessible start meaning you had to make things stupidly bad, instead of giving a person a tool set and skill set to learn and create a challenging game play? I see this space game having the shelf life of a gallon of milk tbh. Besides that don't be hating on me that much... If your ever on a plane that your pilot dies on you're gonna be thankful for us niche gamers if one of us is on board lol
  7. And here i thought that was a feature... The description should read Barrel Rolling into something solid for your suicidal needs.
  8. Really dislike it atm.. Giving it a few days to see if i can get into it, but for the most part its meh. Reason #1 Game should have a fixed cross hair imo with no guide to targets trajectory. At the moment it feels like an arcade game tbh. Combat feels slow and what not because of this luckily the damage is horrid or else it would be just a turret arcade shooter with insta pops. Reason #2 3rd person view... Again arcade shooter and immersion breaking as I guess I am on the a pair of skis behind my ship. Combat in first person is hard, increased learning curve is the downside but a massive bump to immersion. Reason #3 it feels dead, I cant really tell when i fire a missile, and I cant feel or hear taking damage. Feels very disconnected to the ship and the environment. Sound and nuances are vital for a flight game. Reason #4 Mayby I am doing it wrong but I have not found any ways to adjust the sensitivity, keybind, or UI changes. Yes my background is loaded with flight simulators and space simulators, and i was a joystick, first person purist, but for the last few months Ive been flying in Planetside 2 and I am enjoying that immensely, the bouncing between third person and first person is a skill onto itself , and yes i wish it was still just first person but with the mechanics of flight in that game would make it inaccessible to everyone except a ultra minority of players. SOE actually found a good balance between because you still need to be in first person for the targeting, and shooting. Depending on game mechanics games like Planetside 2 work well with a mouse but you have the ability to vector thrust and hover, maneuver in ways that feel like a helicopter/jet hybrid. Playing all the old Xwing/Tie games, XvT,XWA and JTL these mechanics just out of sync with that Star Wars universe for me, But for the ones who played Rogue Squadron, Jedi Star Fighter, Battle grounds will feel right at home and I guess Bioware is going for that crowd. Some of my background so I will admit my bias by default : Just about all the microsoft simulators over the years, Jane's Combat simulators galore, Wing Commanders, Xwing,-Tie-XvT-XWA-JTL. Freespace,Decent, X series, Freelancer,Starlancer,Evochron, and a bunch of others I have forgot about. Been playing Planetside 2 and for my arcade needs Star Conflict so i really don't see this one sticking but Ill give it a go i guess...
  9. Sorry about your loot I guess.. I just figured Lag or CTD would have been on your list.
  10. I haven't done space since first week of launch tbh.. Makes me wish we had a version of XvT, XWA or even JTL so i could kick you in the head! Gratz btw i guess.......
  11. Oh so thats what space in TOR looks like... I think you should get a medal for caring and being really good at the next generation of Star Fox but in reality so what!
  12. Razot

    assassin PvP

Classic Hybrid 23/1/17 Been trying them and for tanking this one is by far the best as you can actually contribute to the cause until you get a better idea of how to work the other specs.
  13. But, but all those people who want SGR's!! Never mind paid server transfers, Fixing the CTD or about a hundred other annoyances in a single sit through..Its the guy on guy or girl on girl action thats the priority...
  14. LOL @ whine thread.. BTW being a smasher is about the only viable way to gear up a Jugg or a Mara and believe me its a long grind itemizing gear for a hybrid spec since the other two specs are not so good on their own. Tanks are just crap in PVP and the veng spec is ok but without gear it becomes a why bother, so all those guys can do is smash till they get some idea of how they want to play. If they nerf that then you all will whine about having these no DPS, squishy melee types in your WZ's. If it makes you all feel any better I did the smash grind on my Jugg till i could be viable in a hybrid tank/veng spec and also for my Sent that is now combat spec that I'm now itemizing for Watchman spec. So not all of them will stay smash forever as its a rather boring spec to play, but compared to force leaping like a bug splatting on a window of a car isn't much fun either at least they contribute something along the way. As in one last damage burst before they explode.
  15. Nope i am waiting to see what happens. I left the game before 1.4 and recently came back to now CTD's every 2 hours and such. Enjoying the game for what it is but I'm not sure that I am going to be here when the expansion hits tbh, and as of now I am month to month. Not being able to buy with CC in my opinion is a huge mistake, but im sure it wont be the last and it sure wasn't the first screw up Bio/EA has done with this game.
  16. Agree with OP. I bought like 3 packs because there isn't really anything I want on the market, but I do like a lot of the stuff in packs but buying them for a random chance isn't gonna happen. They could nickel and dime me to all hell though if i could just buy what I want. I wish they would have looked at CCP's cash shop instead of these gamble packs, in the long run it would be a far more successful way to do business, but it always seems to be the short term for these people and sooner or later the people buying the packs will stop like they did in the SOE card game for SWG.
  17. Agreed with you to a point.. Speed hacks are pretty easy to spot, on the other hand the game gets laggy and buggy. I would get annoyed with that teleport bug and thought it was a hack till it happened to my RL healer friend I guard all the time, we had a match a few days ago and he was knocked down and started teleporting all over the place. For him everything was normal for us he was all over the place. That could easily be seen as a speed hack if you have never seen that bug before.
  18. Expertise happened and mini game WZ's with gear to grind. Anyone who loves open world PVP will eventually get bored shredding through non PVP geared players as there is no challenge as it feels like nothing more but grieving. If they didn't have expertise open world would be just as dead as the raid gear guys would cut down non raiders like butter so its a damned if you do damned if you don't with the PVP magic stat. I guess its just the flaw of raid progression and gear progression type of games like this one and why open world PVP has been dead in the MMO scene for years. One if these days a studio will figure out some kind of balance between spoon feeding the raiders and people like myself who like a more organic sand boxy feel to a game with open world PVP, but till then it remains the million dollar question nobody can answer.
  19. As of now its the SGR's they are talking about adding. Despite all the bugs, CTD, Lag at times, no paid character transfers, no WZ filter, bad PVP tanking system, Ilum being broken almost all year, and about 40 other things i could add but why bother. All this and they make an effort for something so useless. Now for the flame suit: I was a supporter of gay marriage, gay rights, I even voted for it and I'm not even gay, I just don't care what other people choose to do as its none of my business, but after the vocal outcry by a few people in this game it all seems like some entitled agenda. Lets watch the game burn to the ground but as long as two dudes can play nice nice its all ok.... With all the stuff falling apart in this game its absolutely insane to even put one dev on that project and like I said i never cared as it never has effected me till now. My money lost and my enjoyment of the game suffers as they spend time and resources for that crap.
  20. I will answer your question OP.. You see we have pitchers and catchers, when you have a stadium full of pitchers and just a few catchers well things get creepy in the bullpen because every pitcher wants to show his stuff and throw some balls.... You can take that anyway you want, and yes having a pocket healer is also nice!
  21. Reading the FTP vrs the Sub facts is totally hard I guess. Your money is still there but you are capped at 250k as ftp.
