Blazer
On every commendation vendor that sells armor, there is always two pieces of armor with the exact same stats, they are only called different things. Why is that?
jerumis
usually semi different looking
PibbyPib
I've noticed that, too, and I have NO idea. They look identical, have all the same stats... and a different name. Were they planning to have two different looks or something? That's all I can think of.
Blazer
So is that what it is, just different styles? I don't ever look at how it looks, I could care less. I just look at the stats.
Zabonam
I've noticed that too. There used to be armour modifications that used to be the same too. Something like Force Resolve armor 5 and Force Resolve armor 6 and they'd both have the same stats. That's just a made up example, so don't go looking for it
XplaguesX
i think its just named after different classes. like there will be 2 medium armor chests with +cunning on it. one will be Marksman's overcoat, the other Operatives overcoat. Or 2 light armor with +willpower. one will be Forceweilders robes, and the other Shadow stalkers robes. just same thing with diff names for ACs. Morpurgo
Those are gears for different roles. Bounty Hunter for example has sets for healer, dps and tank. Healer and dps gear are almost same but healer focus on crits and alacrity when dps focus on accuracy, power, also set bonuses are different. Gonewild
Cosmetic variation is the only difference. Edited February 11, 2012 by Gonewild
Philophobic
I know what he's talking about. They look the same (no difference what so ever) and have the exact same stats, but different names. Filler, IMO.
Vodalus
They are itemization remnants from before they removed a ton of gear and simplified class stats; remnants from when the different AC's had different concepts in their look.
terminova
So is that what it is, just different styles? I don't ever look at how it looks, I could care less. I just look at the stats. Maybe you don't care, but others do care. Like when I was leveling past 60 I was loathe to give up my level 60 PvP set because it looked soooo much better than what Outlands had to offer in WoW.
