Switching out of BioChem? Thoughts?

After this upcoming patch I'll be able to sell trade all my resuable medpacks/stims/adrens, but I don't really care about money, I just have my professions for PvP. After this change I'm thinking BioChem will be pointless for me to keep.

 

I'm planning on making myself all my exo stims/adrens for multiple spec's then probabaly going to switch over to Cybertech, then make a bunch of reusable nades. Or does anyone else know of a good profession that helps PvP. Cash is not really a matter of concern.

And change to what..? Other then cybertech nades there's nothing worth making for PvP in any of the other proffessions. Synthweaving makes me absolutely nothing and the orange moddable gear I've picked up in hopes of having some customization when all gear mods become removable but nothing even looks good. It all looks like junk I had when I was level 30-40....*sigh*

The Cybertech Reuseable grenades are worthless. I dropped Cybertech before switching to Biochem due to the grenades having a FIVE MINUTE SHARED COOLDOWN. This means you can only use your grenade of choice TWICE per Warzone when compared to the Reusable Medpac that you can use up to 11 times in a Warzone if you spam it on CD.

 

Not to mention that for some bizarre reason Bioware decided to nerf the best grenade (the flame one) in Patch 1.1. I don't understand this nerf at all considering the grenades were and still are so rarely used. The grenades will continue to be awful until they either reduce the shared CD or give each grenade their own CD while also having a much shorter "use grenade" CD that prevents you from using all of the grenades at once.

Eh? I see nothing of the sort in the 1.1.2 patch notes...

 

Biochem

 

Energized and Exotech stims and adrenals no longer require Biochem to use.

Energized and Exotech stims and adrenals are no longer bound, allowing them to be traded or sold to other players.

Rakata reusable stims and adrenals have been reduced in power, providing buffs equal to Energized stims and adrenals.

The Exotech Med Unit schematic obtained from the Eternity Vault Operation now functions properly and can be learned.

Yes, you should drop BioChem immediately in advance of the coming changes which you clearly don't even understand.

 

You will NOT be able to trade re-usable Medpacs/Stims/Adrenals, nor will they no longer require Biochem to use.

 

What you will be able to trade are EXOTECH and ENERGIZED Medpacs/Stims/Adrenals, all of which are CONSUMED ON USE.
