KronikInsomniak Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Anyone else feel that their CC and toolkit compared to other range classes is over the top? Their knock back roots, they got a castable snare, a interrupt, a dmg spell that snares, a stun, and a sprint? I'm not even counting their bubble (mechanically more useful than ours) and their resource management while dpsing (non existent). Sure we burst slightly better but with full gear their damage with their cc is more than enough AND it gives them the survivability and toolkit to deal with melee, something we sacrifice heavily for. Exactly what is the advantage we have? Utility almost always trumps raw dmg in mmorpg pvping unless the damage is completely absurd, which ours is not given the casting required and limited CC. They lose a ton of burst damage and a ton of passive mitigation (armor and Charged Barrier). Concussion Charge is also much much better than the Sorc/Sage knockback. Shorter cooldown, faster activation time, larger knockback, and a snare (Sorc/Sage has a short root instead). Neither is better than the other. Sages/Sorcs can't just stand in the middle of a battle and spam abilities the way Commandos can. They don't have the burst or the mitigation to make it work. If there even is a decent melee close to you he will train you if you are dpsing as a commando and just interrupt your casts, you really need to be at max range as a commando if you are up against any type of interrupt. If there even is a decent melee close to you he will train you if you are dpsing as a commando and just interrupt your casts, you really need to be at max range as a commando if you are up against any type of interrupt. stop playing gunnery and your life will improve. full assault is amazing, has great burst with an assault plastique>charged bolts>hib combo and the only time you stand still is if you want to do a charged bolts or full auto. you can run around all day hitting hammer shots with incend round up and your hammer shots hit like a truck. We can debate which one, but this is no perfect world of balance. Though I think it's pretty clear which one is better. LordZym Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 This is kind of relative but in all the patch updates and i've read all of them, i have seen little or no bug removal for trooper everything has gone into making the BH, Sith and Jedi better!
