Bioware, you lost touch.

TL:TR - So what you are saying is that there shouldn't be Early Access at all. So either you ordered late and didn't get access. Or you got access but your friends didn't get access yet. Or you get access with everyone else on the 15th.

1. The race to first. You killed this for everyone except a select few and to some people this is all the game is to them. They race to max level and then they quit.
The game is definitely not a race. Now some 'hard-core' players will probably speed through the game, sure. However there is no way to stop them from doing that. I'm sure everyone will miss them when they quit.

2. What happens during early access when something breaks?
At this point it is all automated. A script based on 'when you redeemed' your early access code sends out an email. There isn't a beta so there is no stopping things to fix things, you just keep going and patch things. Same things happens when WoW breaks something from a new patch, they repatch it... same ole with every other game.

3. PVP headstart.
You realize that anyone that happens to get the game 1 month later will be behind no matter one. Every new player after the 20th will be behind. This always exists everywhere. "I want to PvP in WoW, they should put everyone back at level 1 because it isn't fair for me who just started while everyone has been playing for years". This makes no sense but that is what you are saying.

4. PVE Race. Same as the above. It's not much of a race when some people are crossing the finish lane just as others start.
Not sure how your perception is a race. Never has been, never was. If this was WoW sure, but it isn't.

4. PVP Warzone exploit.
You know 80% of everything you've said in this post starts with "What if" or "What happens when".

5. The lifeless world. All the game streams are making your game look like crap right now. "Where are all the players, is this game dead already?".
It isn't lifeless where I'm at all and I'm playing on 2 different servers, an Empire one and Republic one.

If I were you, I would try to get everyone 5 days minimum.
You do realize that "EVERYONE" does get 5 days access. That is when everyone no matter when they pre-ordered gets in. The earlier 2 days are for those that pre-ordered much earlier, like when it first came out and probably those who have been in beta for a long time.

we do not know this, bioware/stephen reid has not deigned us smart enough to deal with having knowledge of when we can get in. we're too dumb to accept a delay.

Well, im crying inside because i pre-ordered mainly for the early access, and lets face it at $70 for standard edition with early access you can forgive some of us for hoping to get a meaningfull ammount of early access. They were too quick to wave the "up to 7 days" early access in our faces but all too quick to bury the "Access will be granted in the order of which you registered your EGA code" so good that you only find this out after you have stumped over the money and registered your code.

That being said, i have a thing called self control that is stopping me from flaming the heck out of these forums and QQing so hard that my balls ache afterwards. I'm just sat here now resigned to the fact that i may not get in until sunday, at which point i start a 4 day shift at work long hours so will be unable to play much at all.

Oh how i wish i had waited for the January Sales. lol. Could probavbly have picked the game up for $45 and saved myself some heartache as well as a few $$$.

You'd think there weren't stuff left to do in this world, like jobs, education, social life, other games, getting into shape, cleaning up the bloody household, paying bills.

Yea, there are all these things and we all (or mostly all) do these things but they are boring!!!! We are all craving some good wholesome fun and entertainment that is actually getting access to the game to play :)

You deserved that for not taking into account that other people might not be as "smart" (if that's what you want to call it) as you. Learn to deal with it. Everybody's different. Stop being so judgmental. If you can't handle this ****, just go away. Just don't go belittling people based on their opinions because you can expect it back. I recall you talking about the real world, and that's how the real world is, isn't it?

Now, hurry along before you embarass yourself even more.

I don't know where to start from but lemme see:

People can't read, preorder a game that states it will let people in following the order they actually preordered the game, jump on a forum to scream that this is a shamble, they stole their money (that in most cases, like Amazon, hasn't been paid for), start delirious rants AND I embarrass myself when I say these people are self-entitled morons?

There is a difference between illogical rant and 'opinion', otherwise nazionalsocialist ideas wouldn't be seen so harshly...

Oh, must be a funny world the one you live in

-"Hey bro, did you get to play SWTOR this week? I heard it was the best launch ever."

-"Nah, I didn't get in."

-"You pre-ordered right"

-"Yeah, but they had some invite system and I didn't get to play early"

-"Wow **** that i'm not buying that ****, lets play some WoW BGs"

-"Yeah, it's just a WoW clone anyway, so might as well play WoW"

haha fan boyz

I did see a post somewhere claiming to be from a member of the development team stating tha they aimed to give all people at least 5 days of early access, but it must have been removed because i can not find it any more.

I Thought it was Stephen Reid himself that stated this but alas i have no proof :( only hope remains.

Haha, so I guess to the OP (and 1000 other impatient people on these forums), BioWare's just completely lost it then. Ruined it already. They might as well just cancel the whole damn game then, huh? Obviously everyone will be so upset about it they will quit and BW will never make any money off subs, so why bother?!

I've never understood this race to first thing and PVP being ruined because people get a couple days head start (PVP "exploit" or not). If those people race to 50 and quit, won't it even itself out in a couple weeks anyway once they're gone? This game world is set up to be here for the better part of a decade most likely. Whether or not a few people on your server got to 50 before you in the first few days ultimately seems irrelevant to me.

On other forums people are talking about how smooth it is. Darth Hater, Guild, etc. These forums are full of QQ because some people lack reading comprehension and others have an undeserved sence of entitlement. Going well and hope it continues to.

Summed it all up nicely. These are the worst forums I've ever seen on the internet and I've been to some pretty bad ones over the past many years. It's like the worst by products of society washed down into a sewer and ended up here.

Ever seen a drug addict that tried to go sober for a week? Ya, that's what a lot of these posts remind me of. They'll do anything to get their fix and I mean ANYTHING. If Bioware was truly evil they would be taking advantage of these poor suckers right now. I sure as heck would!

Oh, you want EGA right this second? How about you caught up about lets say, $50?

No offense to you Bioware, you have a good game and all but you lost touch already. You have no idea what an MMO is. 90% of what an MMO is you are killing just so you can have a few days of easy work.

1. The race to first. You killed this for everyone except a select few and to some people this is all the game is to them. They race to max level and then they quit.

2. What happens during early access when something breaks? You stop inviting people to fix it and then a few days later you gotta burst in tons of people and it breaks again or take the chance that a group of people that pre-ordered don't get to play early? If at any point something breaks and someone doesn't get to play early. They will walk and go play something else. You know this right? Not sure why you would risk years of work and millions and millions of dollars for a few days of hectic work. Some of us are coming from WoW to play this. Everyone is already clueless and thinks this is a WoW clone. We didn't get in the initial day so we are playing WoW and waiting. At some point they will stop waiting or think "its just a WoW clone anyway, might as well just play WoW". The initial opening days, the mad rush of people. This kind of thing makes an MMO for some people. But Bioware wants a few days of easy work instead of letting people play the game.

3. PVP headstart. You are giving a select group a massive PVP headstart. It will be so fun starting the game vs people at max level with PVP gear. Sure PVP gear gives only 10%-15% bonus but that's massive when people don't know how to play the game.

4. PVE Race. Same as the above. It's not much of a race when some people are crossing the finish lane just as others start.

4. PVP Warzone exploit. Never would have happened if you didn't under sell the early game access just so you could have a few days of easy work. Your servers will break regardless of pampering the servers in the first few days. So just let the people play and stop being a bunch of scruffy nerf herders. You are so worried about having a few days of less work and problems that you forgot what makes an MMO an MMO.

5. The lifeless world. All the game streams are making your game look like crap right now. "Where are all the players, is this game dead already?". With the population the way it is right now we rarely see other players running by. It makes it look like no one is playing and your game flopped already. Why? Just so you can have a few days of easy work? Let me clue you into something, "YOUR **** WILL BREAK NO MATTER WHAT!!!" you can invite everyone 1 x 1 every day and still "YOUR **** WILL BREAK". It's just how it goes.

If I were you, I would try to get everyone 5 days minimum. I think you are too worried about "lets have the best launch ever!!!". What does this get you? a successful launch to you is a failure to many. If any group gets less than 5 days they will feel robbed. You're launching an MMO we aren't. You need to cater to us. If this was pre-wow people would put up with stuff like this easily. In a post-wow world you get one try and people leave and right now you aren't making a good first impression.

1) If all you care about is being the first one done, why spend $60 on a game that has been in beta for a very long time? Why spend the money on a game which you KNEW would have this kind of early-access roll-out? Why not go play Minecraft and be the first to build an enlarged model of your rectum? You could be first at that!

The bonus with the last option is that Minecraft also happens to be quite a lot of fun. Every single beta tester is going to have a leg up on you, because they will know how to power through the start and get to the meat of the game as quickly as possible. they did this many times through the process, and will treat launch no differently. So even if you started today, there will be testers who start on launch day that will pass you up fairly quickly.

2) Your argument is flawed... The game hasn't released yet. Think of this time period as a final beta-test with the bonus of keeping your character(s) after launch. You are making yourself look like a 3 year old crying about not getting in yet. Grow up.

3) This is perhaps your only valid point. That said, I still feel that when there are millions of people playing (rather than the thousands playing now) most of these "headstarters" will get absolutely destroyed by the ones who actually think about how they play... The grown-ups will still beat you even if you have a thousand day head start.

4) What PvE race? MMOs are so much more fun with other people to play with. Everyone is going to help their friends get up to their level quickly anyway, so this will balance out at a rate that would make even your mother say it was a quickie.

5) You listed two 4's. You can't even count properly, how can you expect people to believe that you are some kind of authority on game release tactics? In any case, if they had let everyone in at once, the exploit would have been even more widely used, and created an even bigger problem. Sounds like this launch plan already worked.

6, Or your 5) I came from SWG, THAT'S a dead world. Nobody is in yet because THE GAME ISN'T RELEASED YET!!!! There will be millions more joining you over the next 6 days.

As for the little skit at the bottom of your post: I hope people like that do stay out of the game, I don't like babies. You knew what was going to happen. You know what the official release date is. You are whining about EARLY access, not access. If you can't get in on the 20th, then start cryin', until then S T F U! Go grab your security blanket and ask your mom to make you some hot chocolate so you can calm down.

With all these ppl going on about being at a certain level and early access whining...has me concerned that too many ppl are coming over from WoW. WoW is a game about NUMBERS and not so much about fun anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I love all things Blizzard related(in fact at work they call me Blizzard *****) but my concern is that SWTOR may in the future turn into another numbers game.

So, till I am able to start playing, let me leave all of you w/this: FOR THE ALLIANCE !

(cause the Horde is for noobs).

Not everyone speaks english as a native language. So, needless to say, the ones NOT from America or the UK (whichever you're from, don't care because you seem to think everyone speaks English as good as you do) might have misunderstood that sentence. Not everyone uses Amazon, and I actually DID pay already.

And you seem to be thinking you're on the right side, but you're not. You just referred to nazionalsocialist ideas?

Funny, because the whole war they started? They did that with discrimination, and that's basically what you are doing by calling them self-entitled morons for voicing an opinion. Now, I do agree that some of these people are trolls, but to tell somebody who speaks english as a second language to **** off and read better? That's harsh man.

4. See answer #1.

5. They have said they will deal with the exploiters.

6. Well DUR. Not everyone was allowed in yet.
