  1. This is something i would love to see... and especially if it was tied to legacy level, it would give me some reason to level alts and a reason to try some of those other toons that i am loathed to grind through the leveling process with. i still have 3 char slots free on my server
  2. I always thought that it worked in line of sight... for instance as a throw happens if you get within the circle but between the passer and the receiver then you can intercept the ball? so if you are stood in the center then isn't that giving people chance to intercept the ball by being closer to the passer while still being within the receiver area?
  3. The whole "use CC to transfer ship requisition to fleet requisition" sounds very much like its been taken straight from "Star Conflict" which is pretty much a copy of what this expansion is anyway. It wouldn't be half bad if it wasn't for the fact that some of us already pay a subscription for this game. I would bloody well hope that the CC conversion is REMOVED (or changed to in game currency) for subbed members, reduced for preferred status and is only implemented fully for free to play accounts. If i have to pay real money to transfer in-game currencies after already paying REAL MONEY to subscribe to the game then i will be leaving it well alone. Don't get too greedy guys, or you will bite off your nose to spite your face.
  4. I think for a DPS scrapper alacrity isn't really worth itemizing, but for a sawbones scrapper alacrity is much more important, specifically in PVE where diagnostic scan channel speed increase teamed up with slightly higher base energy regen actually makes a noted increase in total healing output possible.
  5. Bioware saying that this is something that can never happen because its not possible is complete and utter bull-crap. I know of several games that have re-written parts / most of their net code and even relocated servers into the same farms to allow such things to happen and have been successful in it. Basically they just don't want to spend the $$$'s to get it done and would rather the game just chug along paying the bills for a few more years before it dies off. Personally this is the main reason i left last year, as my server was dead and this was before transfers / consolidations were announced. I have been back 2 weeks so far but depending on how the PVP queues go, i might not be here long. Seems the server I'm on is a very active one, but only time will tell i guess. Cross server queuing has to happen for this game to be viable to the hardcore PVP crowd that only want to play PVP. Also cross server group-finder for FP's and OP's needs to happen also.
  6. I wouldn't hold your breath Bob, the tread is 16 months old... i doubt the guy is even playing anymore lol.
  7. Well I'm no expert on the subject but i think you will get a decent benefit to the channel speed of Diagnostic Scan from the alacrity, thus giving you quicker ticks and more chance for crit based energy return, in PVE and some PVP situations that can be a big bonus, for arenas I'm not sure if it would make much difference as i doubt you will get enough time to make much use of DS in arena's.
  8. Have something similar myslef but being a healer i noticed that its people being in the warzone but not actually added to the operations frame so you can only see 7 in the frame. This does really need fixing as it makes it practically impossible to heal that person when you see them getting hammered as clicking on anything in the game field is nigh on impossible its self. Might be different issue we are experiencing but my money is on its the same thing.
  9. lol and now i just read that the servers will be down for another 7 hours, ot back until midnight UK time. Boy am i glad i took today off work to play 1.2. Im not usually one for QQing but i have a really bad taste in my mouth right now and its got TOR written all over it. So basically they starting the 1.2 upgrade process all over again today i guess
  10. I feel you pain, im sat here on AL as well
  11. Yes i will keep my subs up for now. The reason is not that I think this game is perfect but i see potential and I’m willing to back Bioware to see if they can turn the game into what it should be, not what it is now. The game is sorely missing cross server matchmaking for PVP and cross server flashpoint maker tool. I’m on a server that is currently going through a downwards spiral of players leaving / rerolling on busier servers and the net effect for me is this has turned into a mostly single player game. PVP Queues at level 50 take anywhere from 20-60 minutes during prime time and after about 11PM seldom ever pop, so I usually average about 5-6 warzones in a 4-5 hours gaming session which is really sad. On the PVE side it is practically impossible to get a group for any hard mode flashpoint as the people on fleet has gone down from about 120-150 during prime time about 6-8 weeks ago to the 20-35 that we have during prime time now on our server. Almost impossible to find a full group with tank and healer, often the only people that want to do the content are of the incorrect classes to make a full group. Top this off with all the bugs in the game and there is plenty of frustration to go around. Now I have been through several MMO releases and i realise that things never get released in a finished state so I’m going to be showing my support for Bioware to see if they can make the big improvements I would like to see in a timely fashion. If I cannot see these updates coming by the time 1.3 patch notes are out then I will re-evaluate the situation. Until then, I’m happy to continue playing
  12. Yea, this takes the p1$$ so much that i installed the security app on my phone just so i could buy a stack of fleet passes. i never use my ship to get back to fleet now... just to get to other places. saves me about 40 minutes per day of pointless running and loading to be honest so its worth the 1000 credits a time.
  13. Hi, This is written from the viewpoint of a seeer sage healer. 1) Both Very viable, if you are seer spec then you have arguably the best heal in the game... Salvation, for PVP this one skill allows you to fortify Turret locations or doors and turns the tide for your team, it practically cancells out death from above or mortar volly for instance. And once you have decent gear will heal for upwards of 6k over the 10 seconds to everyone in the area... priceless. Same for PVE, we are probably the best all round healers in the game, big AOE heal and with a nuke heal and HOT's/channeled as well as a damage shield, we can cover practically all bases. 2) There are whole threads out there for "rate my dps build" im sure you can pick a decent one from there. 3) I tried a few other companions as i leveled and for normal trash, it doesnt really batter, but when you meet elite/champion mobs you really need that tank. As a healer spec i used The lizard man (can never spell his name right Quelran Vas or something like that :S ) 90% of the time and he generally works well if you keep his gear up to date. 4) Best crew skills to earn credits if that is ALL you want from it wuld be 3 gathering skills such as Bioanalasys, Scavanging and Slicing. Its possible to make more money in the long run with a crafting profession and cornering the markey BUT requires millions of credits in the short term to level up and RE to get the correct items to produce so only worth it if you are serious if you ask me. 5) If you are a sage then be prepared to be called Primary if you are doing warzones against a decent premade team. there are 2 distinct playstyles, one for PVP and one for PVE. Standing still for more than 2 seconds in PVP almost certainly means death, you should be popping all your instants and shields as you run arround and using your proc's for your nuke heal / casting salvation should be your only real time to stop. Thats about the only way to survive in PVP as heal spec in the thick of it. for PVE groups you spend most of your time in one place chaining heals and quite often moving too much means a wipe so choose your standing point well. you will get used to transitioning between the 2 playstyles if you enjoy both PVP and PVE like i do. Good luck and enjoy the class
  14. My main is a Seer healer, i have a 50/50 split between Columi set and Champion PVP set and i have cleared up to and including SOA on hard mode, id say you are entry level for HM, will be challenging to say the least but a full group geared to our level can manage it. As for NMM, i wouldnt even dream of that until you get at least 50% rakata gear, its a whole different ball game. main difference is more HP and damage, but a few of the encounters require greater teamwork (such as the pilon encounter in HM) in order to overcome. All mechanics seem the same but maybe increased severity (3 lightning balls on SOA HM compared to 1 on normal, and tick for 5k if you get too close) --Note-- The above is my personal opinion given my skill level and experiences in the game, others may disagree with my opinions and are free to do so.
  15. Not just with Flashpoints, even when i switched to my ATL to level him i was getting issues with group phases. All evening yesterday people were complaining about lag spikes and random game crashes. I got 2 BSOD's yesterday... first time the game had ever crashed for me and each time it totally fubar'd my system. Not to mention the lag spikes putting invisible walls in fromt of me every so often and then teleporting me into mobs when it dissapears... Lookss like BW screwed something up with the patches again.
