Dec 15th servers open as planned, except all preorders are given access. This is the best way to solve this trainwreck of an early access. This is the ONLY chance Bioware has to redeem itself, else go down in gaming history among the epic fails, and this one is true darwin launch. In order to prevent a situation where a lot of players are unable to play due being in server queues, they created a system that left the vast majority of players STUCK IN QUEUES with unknown wait times, waiting for their game access to be turned on. They've chosen by far the greater of two evils. And when dec 20th comes around, with the current system they're probably going to end up with queues and server crashing anyway. How dumb. How about all of the players that want an equal footing at launch of the game (which was the 13th in case you missed the memo). I'm sorry that so many people hate the idea of fairness and they just want to be selfish; but what BioWare has done has created an elite few that started the first day. I'm really trying hard not to fight this, but the OP has a point, it's just too many players want to be selfish and push his ideas aside. For the record, I'm not in that boat, hence floating around the forums lol. The one thing I would be unhappy with is; if I log on, whenever I'm allowed, and the intended server (with my mates on) is blocked to me - that would cause an issue. ominator Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 1.75 million people all log in on 15th of december, nice. servers would crash and can break them which did on occassions, happen during the BETA stress testing. queues would be insane. everybody who got in to the game, would be fighting for mobs with thousands of people being in the starter zones. That should roughly be the same amount that would log in on December 20, the official launch day. There's no reason why it would crash the servers. I don't understand why so people are concerned about others being a higher lvl, whenver you re-roll a character you're instantly lvl 1 so I'm not understanding this. I have already told people I know who got in yesterday that I probably won't be joining them. And, if I do it will only be until a new server comes online. Thanks BW! You guys are teh awesomest! This whole "wave" thing is an abortion. I can't believe anyone who actually understands gamers came up with it! Only Origin and physical retailers actually changed any money at all. You could have pre-ordered online from any company for FREE until they ship the actual box. I actually broke down and sent a long email to cust. service that deals with the mods on this forum encouraging them to be more active to keep this negativity off, but alas no reply in over 24 hours, I didn't expect any I know they have to be quite busy. So because YOU can't get in, because YOU ordered late, no one should get in? BW has handled this in the fairest method possible. Order early=early access. Its really that simple. Stop crying because you ordered late. btw the VAST majority of players ordered early. BW has stated they received most of the preorders early on then it tapered off. So "your" majority are actually a very vocal, whiny minority. You will get in if you preordered, later if you ordered later. You are not entitled to anything more. Let's remove the whole early access then shall we and just open it up on the 20th and have 200.000 players at the starting zones? Sounds like a great idea. They way they are doing this is by far the best way they can. People need to stop thinking they got a clue. Because, you don't. Bioware knows how to handle this way better then any of us, and better then any of us EVER will. Just stop the crying and let the 20th be a great launch instead of a que time, yawn fest, impossible starting zones fest. No thanks, do what they are doing, and be happy it's coming out soon. ^this. Everyone paid the same for up to 5 days early access. The only thing that seems to determine early access is when the order was placed.
