  1. You must have let your buff drop between tests.
  2. Gear the hell out of Qyzen, pick up a decent Techblade from Weapons vendors every few levels. Once you get Iresso, grandfather all that gear to him instead and pimp out his gun. In aoe situations, pull with his charge (Defaults to Ctrl+9) and learn to micro him out of aoes. Being a ranged tank, he's much easier to reposition and have him still tank than Qyzen is. Given the proper gear, Iresso will make your life easier, his DPS with a decently modded rifle or pistol is decent enough to compliment whatever dps you provide, and he's very easy to heal. I have mine more or less outfitted with Aim DPS gear except for his Enhancements, earpiece, and implants, and try to keep his shield upgraded. For enhancements, give him the ones with shield and absorb on them. Learn to micro him, learn when to put him in melee and when to keep him ranged. You can't go wrong.
  3. Synthweaving is for the alts of Cybertechs so they can have a second Underworld Trader. Seriously, it's not worth maining. This may change eventually, but as it stands, not now.
  4. I'm 50 and a Cybertech with some guild component support and I've geared Iresso in full 50 blue aim components, and gotten him a purple 49 reflex barrel, so it shouldn't be too bad. His dps isn't that bad with that gear, and I'm pretty sure I can keep him up with some micro.
  5. Making this post orange so people have to read it.
  6. I don't like 13/28 anyways. 25/16 is a lot more my style, and has literally infinite sustain on its dps.
  7. So many people have a problem with reading the thread, but you didn't even make it all the way through the *********** title. I only rib. In any event, I think balance/tk hybrid is face-meltery-grade DPS. If I ever actually do DPS it'll be as that. (but I'm a healer right now.)
  8. Additionally, adding one point to the talent that increases Weaken Mind's duration is enough to get it to sync up with Mind Crush's cooldown a little better, you can cast them together and weaken will squeeze that one tick out while you recast Mind Crush with it.
  9. Please, Iresso makes Qyzen look like the Lusty Trandoshan Maid.
  10. You don't understand game mechanics. They apply to heals too, and because you get a lot of procs based on crit as both a pure Seer and a Seer/TK hybrid, that everything you do gets better with more crit, and because you have the crit, Surge becomes better and better by proxy. Cooldown says 'sup'. You'll still cast the same number of Innervates/Trances in the same amount of time because Alacrity doesn't affect its cooldown.
  11. The only workaround for this is to expand Iresso's bar and pull with Ctrl+9 instead of Ctrl+1, and he'll charge into melee every time (since you're specifically calling out his rifle butt charge). I filed a bug report on being unable to use pet hotkeys after the first four if the pet's bar isn't expanded, stupid oversight. I suggest everyone else interested in seeing it fixed do so as well.
  12. People grow and change. By the time you form a relationship, you might be a different person. Although my guy was dark sided anyways, and used the dark choices for Nadia's teachings and let her kill Stark. I'm wondering at what point does the passion that fuels the dark side necessarily become all consuming hatred and demonic bloodthirst? Isn't love a passion, too? Indignation? Joy? Game needs more 'gray' options, IMO, for both the Jedi and the Sith.
  13. It wasn't a typo. It was a reference to my character having made hump with her.
  14. Indeed. I upgraded her crotch to 'custom' status and added my own 'hilt'. (She's the romance option for male Consulars. )
  15. Pull with Ctrl+9 instead of Ctrl+1 with Iresso and this isn't a problem. Still like Iresso better, especially once I figured out how to pull with his charge instead of just attack. Thing is, at the end of the day, if you do the above, Iresso is now more useful than Qyzen, because Iresso retains the ability to aoe range pull, while Qyzen doesn't. Iresso can tank a mob from high ground, Qyzen can't.

    Healer OP?

This. All the Empire PVPers are 50 and in ventrilo with each other, I don't stand a chance in hell. Focus-fired healers that are properly CC-trained are the anti-definition of OP.
  17. Indeed. He may only be a lieutenant, but he's the admiral of my heart!
  18. Was going to say exactly this only more funny.
  19. I'm hybrid heals (TK/Seer) and have been using Iresso. I haven't tried Nadia since I upgraded her equipment and/or crotch, I may try her out (this time in combat).
  20. I gotta say it, once I got Iresso, I started outfitting him in oranges (he's using a jedi cloak and visor, looks cool) and gearing him up, and as a hybrid healing/pk sage, he works out much better than Qyzen and fights end more quickly than with Tharan (although on fights with impossible aggro I can imagine Tharan will come back out.). I'm gearing him with tank stats when I can, dps Aim stuff otherwise, and trying to keep his shield updated as much as possible. Iresso for president!
  21. What race is your character, and are you actually using social gear?
  22. So social gear (Ie Custom quality orange light armor from Social vendors) needs to be reequipped every time you planet hop or log in for the post-modified stats to register. Bug confirmed and tested repeatedly by myself as I have to do this religiously on my Sage. I did happen to file a bug report about this, so hopefully it's being looked at. Apparently this doesn't apply to companions, however, (Could use some testing here) so those of you dressing your female companions up in the Nar Shaddaa dancer costume most likely needn't worry. Not sure if this is unique to male characters, males with build 3, or if there's some weird interaction with my class, race, etc, so this could use some testing on characters of both genders and across every race on both factions to get it completely confirmed. Human male build 3 Jedi Consular Sage.
  23. Can you think of a time in which that was some sort of problem? Do you really see the logic in this? Not attacking you or anything, I really want to know. I can't imagine you're defending the practice, but at the same time, what logical path led you to this conclusion? I'm not seeing it.
  24. So yeah, I was trying to sell a starship component on the AH, didn't omit a digit, and accidentally put it up for 250k. So I took it down, and to my horror, the entire 32,000 credit deposit is gone, and it says so in the mail that it's gone. When, had I left it up for a day, I would've gotten the whole thing back. What's the reasoning behind this design? Why refund the entire deposit if left up but take it if you make a mistake and remove the item early? Shouldn't there be like a 5 minute window where you get the deposit back when canceling? I don't see any way this is thwarting a potential exploit or anything else, it's just plain bad design. So yeah, if you accidentally post an item for ten times what it's worth, it's not to your advantage at all to try to fix it. Heed BioWare's implied warning: It's up for the duration or you lose your deposit. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
