  1. That's ridiculous! Cue me having to grind the dailies to get enough mods for HM runs. *sigh*
  2. Title says it all really guys, but just looking for some guidance on where to continue the story quest after I've completed and handed in The False Emperor. Cheers, DG
  3. Thanks folks, I suspected that Crit/Surge was the way to go over AL/Power. Best start crafting myself those stalker outfit pieces DG
  4. Hey All, Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere - I did do a search and then plow through 10 pages of the forum before I posted. I'm going to be hitting level 50 pretty soon and then seeking out a decent guild to do HM Flashpoints and Ops. As a healer class, I have been stacking Altricity (sp?) to lower casting time, however I was chatting yesterday and someone said that with decent 50 gear they're only seeing a 12% reduction in casting time, which frankly, is next to nowt. Do any level 50 sage healers have any advice on which stats to focus on for gear before I start crafting worthless epics? Cheers, DG
  5. One thing that maybe hasn't been mentioned (I've skimmed through the thread comments prior to this one) is a pretty simple tool. Make sure that your abilities are ordered left to right on your toolbar in the order that you use them in a rotation. I know it sounds lame, but the ability to put your fingers on 3/4 keys and know exactly where an ability is is vital when things start to heat up rather than having to panic and go 'Ah christ, where did I put healing trance'. Also, don't be afraid to use Noble Sacrifice a couple of times and then top your health back up with a medpack if you get in a 'no force left, boss/tank nearly dead pinch'. DG
  6. Hey all, I'll chip in on this thread with my 2 cents. I'm level 48 and have spent an absolute fortune in credits and time levelling synthweaving to 400. In my experience there are two major imbalances: 1). RE'ing simply isn't reliable or consistent enough. I agree with the OP that some of the attempts are excessive to say the least in the number of attempts it takes to hit the next level item up. I remember one set of boots that I stopped trying to RE after 26 attempts. Whoever posted that the OP was 'Doing it wrong' is simply insulting. Pressing a button and right clicking an item is straightforward - the RNG behind the process is not. Sure, its great when you hit the level up on the first attempt but its nowhere near balanced. 2). There are some level ranges where there are simply no recipes for certain slots - for example I think its around level 41-43 where there are no head slot items at all from the trainer for light armour - what gives? I'm supposed to spend loads of creds levelling up synth only to have to go and buy a decent headset from GTN or save up commendations? Madness! Because of issue 1), I hit 400 synthweaving at level 38 - surely this is far too soon given the level requirements of the level 400 items (47+)? additionally, because of issue 2), I often ended up trying to RE reps that were 2/3 levels above my current level just to accommodate for the failure of RE and subsequent farming of mats to try again. Having obtained the Rataka reps from the trainer and started acquiring some of the mats (albeit from expensive comp missions) I can see how it would get better, but I definitely feel that the OP had a valid point. Levelling synthweaving is an inbalanced chore which rather than providing up to date gear, often sucks credits away instead. I'm sure it'll come good at some stage (more recipes in future, more balanced RE process, maybe some dailies to encourage RE'ing even at max level) but based on my experience so far, I can definitely offer my sympathies to the OP. 7. Hi All, See the below from Zavvi UK - although Amazon have been smart enough to dispatch their hard copies early, Zavvi have not. Even with the grace period it is unlikely you'll have your code in time for launch. I'm now requesting a cancellation so I can buy a hard copy before the 20th. Delivery time at the minute is insane - I have stuff dispatched from Zavvi at the start of the week that's not here yet - Christmas post etc. Nightmare! ======================== Hi, As you will probably be aware, the release date for 'Star Wars: The Old Republic' is 20/12/11 with the game relying on a registration code that is in the hard-copy box to continue playing after the 'early start period' up to19/12/11. Could you please confirm whether hard copies will be shipped early to arrive for the 20/12/11 or whether you will be sending the game codes via email to avoid downtime? I have read recently that Amazon will be shipping the game early and would be disappointed if the estimated dispatch date on my order of 23/12/11 is accurate as this means I will potentially not receive the game until the end of December. Please let me know! Thanks, XXXXXX Sent by: zavvi. 17 December 2011, 19:06 Hi XXXX Thanks for getting in touch asking for an update on your order. Your order is expected to be sent to you in the next few days. Once the item has been sent you will receive an e-mail letting you know it's on its way. Delivery usually takes 2-5 working days with Royal Mail. Thanks again for getting in touch. Kind regards Ben
  8. Finally got a result on this - after about 15 attempts. If anyone else is wondering if they do RE - they do
  9. Hi, Does anyone know what/if these reverse engineer into? Been trying continuously to RE them and it fails to produce a new rep every time. Any ideas? Ta, JDG
