  1. Your gear definitely is hurting you a ton. Your primary stats at 50 without a ton of higher end gear, should be over 1300 for both strength and endurance at least. Gear up and you'll see a huge change. Expertese is critical for pvp and as others have said will help you a bunch. I would focus generally on just gearing up, and you'll get gear with expertese from pvp rewards.
  2. Sentinel is amazingly good class, geared to the tactical player that can utilize it properly in different situations. With lots of situational rotations and abilities it definitely can be daunting. Dps is only one facet of the class, and if you use that as a qualifier for how good it is, "that it needs some serious love", your being shortsighted. Our mobility and ability to adjust to different situations is great, if not amazing. I often top the dps charts in pvp, so really it boils down to how your play your class. Pick your targets better, pick your situations better. I'm not going to tell you how to play your character, just know that it can be done and amazingly well. I am not trying to flame or be mean. I definitely think that Sentinel class doesn't need love, but maybe the people having problems with class do. *group hug* =) On a positive note, it would be nice to see some more guide on optimizing your playstyle, combat rotations ect, so that the players that get it can spread it to others.
  3. I use all things situationally. I don't use Blade Storm on a regular basis, but if Force Leap is on cooldown and I need to run to another target it is useful and will definitely use it as soon as I am range of that target. That's extra damage I wouldn't have done otherwise. By the time you get to your target, the effective distance of the range of Blade Storm, your global cooldown is up and you will be in range to abilities in your normal rotation. Don't mock the Blade Storm!
  4. I've noticed with Force Quake, that it only affects up to a certain number of opponents. (8ish?) Might be the same thing here, where it says all but there is a unspoken cap behind the scenes.
  5. Went full seer spec till I capped the tree myself. Had no issues healing without resplendence, then force issues went away completely. Force armor is friend and never over healing of course helps. Gear is also very important. There have been a lot of posts about good stats ect for gear, so I would advise to make sure you look at that if you already haven't. Above all other gear, your saber and focus are very important. The Force Power that they give should roughly equal about the same amount of healing bonus all your other willpower bonuses give you. Bottom line as everyone else says: Be force efficient, don't overheal, and make sure to keep your gear appropriate and up to date. Do that, and you should be golden! (At least for what you can do. Can't compensate for bad or undergeared teammates, of course. )
  6. I kept Qyzen in a balance of aim/end gear, but I never really focused on making him more of a tank. There were times where he felt weaker than he needed to be. If you keep his gear up to date, that shouldnt ever be a problem. I ran similarly to you to 50, with the exception of running full seer spec until there wasn't useful things in the seer tree. Spec http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#600GGrRbd0dGzZf00MZoM.1. I use resplendence proc for force regain (I never run out of force). As a seer, Disturbance doesn't compare in damage to the other damage spells in my opinion at least and for it's long cast time. I only use it when other abilities are on cooldown and there isn't something reactive I need to do. Only difference with my rotation to add some dps into the mix is as Qyzen is running towards his target. Start immediately casting Mind Crush on the target he will be attacking, followed by Weaken Mind, Project, and TK Throw. The feel this initial burst is a little better than Weaken Mind on everything, but that's just me. This will all depend on the mix of things I am fighting. Strongs, Elites, ect. My tactics vary depending on what I attack of course, and I am sure you do too. I will often use Force wave to interrupt and do extra damage sometimes (as well as a third interrupt, when interrupts become more important). Once you hit 34 and get force quake, you can take things down even faster, use Force Wave to help group them while Qyzen gets agro, and the Force Quake everything. Works best on lots of normal mobs, as it also takes them out of business, while reducing damage on Qyzen. I only mention the extra stuff, since it helps kill things faster. On a side note, you only need to heal Qyzen enough to keep him alive for the fight. Its faster to dismiss and resummon him (or mount vehicle/dismount), to heal him than actually heal him.
  7. Quesh was definitely hard in comparison to all other planets. I enjoyed the challenge and have found everything else way too easy. I wish more of the content was as hard as Quesh. More challenge is more rewarding for me, and more fun!
  8. OP, basing your estimate on how many imperial v.s republic players based on one instance isn't necessarily valid. Players between the two, may have different play styles, imperials sitting in the space station and the republic out questing. Back your assumptions with some valid data before complaining.
  9. To respond to the original intent of this thread. I think the sage class is awesome. It is a nice hybrid between a ranged caster dps and a healer. Excellent ability to heal at different stages of the Seer tree with a infinite force pool. Being seer spec'd I am excited to respec later for pvp in one the dps trees and expect that to be ranged based. Using double-strike and tumult in certain situations gives me that melee that I crave sometimes, but I don't expect it with this class. If I really wanted that I would have played a jedi knight or specialized jedi shadow. I don't feel that I was misled by any information that was provided to me, with anything on the internet or ingame. So no, not dissappointed at all. Great class, lots of fun. Dwell not or your misconceptions, see what actually is.
  10. That being said, yes we can hide our head pieces, the ugly ones, but there are a few that are pretty awesome. Any more people having hair/ headpiece issues?
  11. Played as a full seer spec all the way to 40, now at 44 I am branching off to the other trees to support the main spec. Honestly, the seer spec is really fun and almost too easy to level. In the end, perfectly viable and fun!
  12. Great information. So at least we've narrowed down to particular race, or even a hair style. I'd like to hear from other consulars!
  13. To add some additional info. I am playing a Miraluka with a rag looking thingy over my eyes. I have the same hair style as Nadia Grell. Both the hair and mask get really funky with different head pieces.
  14. Every consular headpiece I've tried to equip, visibly clips with my character hair creating a jumbled mess of yuck. Looks terrible! I haven't noticed this with the other classes I've played, however with my Sage at 42, I've finally found a headpiece I've liked and want visible. Anyone experiencing the same thing?
  15. I just recently had issues in Taris myself too. Note that the rest of the game has run smooth as better for the last 5 days. I was fine all for 95% of the zone, then I went to the last outpost and the game client just froze up completely. Looking at the game exe in task manager, the memory just started going up and up and up, I killed it before it made it to 4gb. Definitely a memory leak there. Definitely something buggy in that zone. Relogging helped for a while in the same location and as I had 10-15 seconds before it got progressively worse, I was able to port out of there. I run a pretty beefy system, and my suspicion is that it will effect people with lower end systems quicker.
