can't turn off companion helmet pause when mounting/dismounting/checking inventory/bags etc... shouldn't this all be in RAM after the first time? wuss responses for BH - Skadge? really?

it's not 200 vs 200. It's more like 10 vs 10 in Ilum. It's not the graphics card or CPU or anything on my system. Proof? Yea. With graphics turned all the way down, I can tell when I'm going to get jumped by 10-20 people in Ilum (FROM BEHIND) just by the game slowing down to a slide show. So tell me, why does that happen? Oh, I see, my PC is rendering all those polygons that are not even on screen that must be it. Also, find a 100 FPS area like a tiny corner in your ship and mash the "b" on your keyboard or the character screen for that matter. Enjoy the slide show. EDIT: PS, if it's an AMD issue, that really no excuse.

Besides all the other issues like LFG, PVP, and content, I'm really disappointed in the performance. 12 gigs ram, SSD drive, and Radeon 7970 you can kill the framerate by the following: going to Ilum opening and closing your inventory mounting and dismounting Is there any hope for increased performance or is this engine THAT bad?

Well, they lied with the loot and the companions. They said if a group member leaves, you can just use your companion to fill that slot. YEA good luck. Also they said you won't need to worry about loot due to tokens that drop. Sure. I've been lucky enough to get a healer for 5 hard mode FP runs and only got 1 drop while my friend still has yet to get one. And those tokens are so few in drops, I can't imagine doing another FP since the time invested to reward received is terrible. So, yea, you're forced to group and the payoff sucks.

I don't know. Seems to me SWTOR is already a single player game. All I do is shout LF healer in general chat (and <shudder> daily quests if i feel up to it.) I for one, am looking forward to GW where they throw the trinity out the window. You shouldn't be forced into specific type of gameplay.

stupid design IMO. WT-F aren't there 50 Champion guards near the med services to give you a few min to get ready and keep the enemy away? This is common sense to me.

you can always pull out the droid for conversations then bring out Mako for combat - that'll allow you to choose conversations for you alone

Does affection with him make him less of an ***hole? I find it very frustrating as a BH, that I cannot punch him in the face then stomp on him. Tell him to fall in line or I'll send him out the airlock. Why am I such a wuss with him?

even though im a shield tech i'll add my 2 cents. kill the weakest mobs in a group first. they go down super fast and if you take a long time to down an elite or strong, that's one or 2 weaks chipping away at your HP - it adds up quick also, check mako like above said

I got an I7 at 2.6 G 12 GB RAM win 7 x64 SSD drive with SATA III Radeon HD 7970 and it runs ok in places but still chokes on others - pauses, stutering etc...

i would dump the 2 points in rail loaders and pick up rebraced armor here's the overall opinion on the best shield tech end spec for pve tanking http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#301G0GrdorogzZMsbZb.1 PS, if you heat gets over 50 you either need to pop your vent heat or start spamming rapid shots. i usually wait til 75 to pop the cooldown however if i really need it

as a shield tech, dump flame burst and missle blast. FB you can get carried away with because it's instant and MB is 25 heat and not worth it IMO mobs are usually in clusters of 2, 3 and usually 4 but sometimes that 4th is farther away. you have grapple but no jet charge jet so try to run up to the 2 or 3 cluster farthest from the far guy, move back, grapple the far guy, then flame thrower all 3 or 4 of them use rocket punch, railshot, and unload whenever you can but try to weave in radpid shots between ...and use explosive dart on weak mobs as it's a good cheap cc of course use death from above when you can and CC isnt needed

it should be 15 sec cooldown - sometimes the icons don't reflect that and they're working on it heat is not an issue. what skills are you using? what level and adv class are you? after you get explosive dart, dont use missle blast - it's 25 heat. try to stick with 16 heat skills. flame thrower is ok because you start venting heat over the channelling at low levels you really need to use the free rapid shots in between almost every other skill - it gets better at higher levels if you're powertech, be careful with heat blast since it's instant and can be overused quickly

you can skip the side quests - just do you class quest then go to tatooine
