  1. Exactly. From my observations, all post-Makeb companions/NPCs have had flirt options for both, and I've always thought that is a good system. This just lets us the player make up our own story about how these NPCs are. I don't see why that is a problem. Customisation is a big facet of this game, both wrt the character and the story -- which I think is great! That's your opinion. A lot of players have different opinions. As KyaniteD wrote, we get to decide where our personal story goes with regards to many things, like who lives and dies, so why should companions' sexual orientation be an exception?
  2. It is mentioned: The problem is that this week, chars who missed it on Tuesday won't get to complete it, so it really should be fixed before next Tuesday.
  3. In that case, characters who missed out on [Weekly] Masterwork Data Crystal this Tuesday won't be able to complete it this week. Will those who completed Flesh and Steel but were not able to get [Weekly] Masterwork Data Crystal, be retroactively awarded a Crystal?
  4. Yes, the strategies have changed, but, as far as we can tell (and I hope), the base ideology remains the same. (Otherwise why even be separate factions?) Destroying the Jedi while they are weakened seems like a good strategy to me.
  5. Well, we know from before why the Empire wants to eradicate the Jedi/Republic, that hasn't changed. It is mentioned as well during the Ossus story (don't remember where, but I think at the end at least). The Empire believes the Republic/Jedi are weak and corrupted, and that they are a threat to the Imperial/Sith ideology. They want to destroy the Jedi before they can bolster their numbers. (This is mentioned in the starting holocall.) I think it was well portrayed in this story.
  6. Like I just recently posted a thread about, I would like to see more same-gender romances for original companions with their original class-characters. Now as you said they gave two of those as f/f. Personally I would like m/m. Generally I think there has been very good options post-vanilla, from what I've noticed, but original class companions fall behind.
  7. I was very happy and hopeful to hear that some of the most recent returning original companions got same-gender romance options. But at the same time it also felt a bit like a slap in the face for those of us playing gay/bi characters interested in original companions who had already returned before. When I was starting the Malavai Quinn reunion story, I was expecting there to finally be romance options for my Sith Warrior. They have been practically flirting since the beginning of time, and we've had a lot of same-gender romances post-vanilla, so it was indeed a let-down to not get actual flirt options then. Obviously it's a bit late to change that now, but, could we pleeeeease get new same-gender romance dialogue cutscenes for (some of) the already returned companions? It could be something similar to the Arcann romance cutscene, or to the dialogues we used to get on our starship. It'd only be for character-classes who originally had these companions of course. (Just please let Malavai Quinn and my Sith warrior express their attraction for eachother <3 )
  8. We just tried this, leaving group before Kil'Cik died, and it still didn't count for us. And also, yes, can't get the Masterwork Crystal mission on a newly story-finished alt.
  9. Well, to be fair, the Rishi stronghold is mostly a junkyard :s. I'm still waiting for a nice and tidy beach resort as a new stronghold ^^. But yes, that's not nice for those who had already decorated this beach.
  10. Try this fix for re-organising data: Basically, in task manager, go to Details, and right-click on all the bitraider processes and the launcher process and Set affinity. Un-select the last half of cores. (For an 8-core processor, disable the last 4.) Wait a minute, and if that doesn't speed the re-organisation up, swap them all back to all cores. That has worked for me for several patches now.
  11. Often when playing Voidstar as an Imperial character, we will have the medal voicelines (e.g. "An enemy is unbeatable" etc.) by Satele Shan. This bug has been around for years, but it's still bothersome. It doesn't make any sense that Imperial characters would hear Satele Shan. Please change it so that the medal voicelines etc. for Imperial characters are played by either the Imperial droid that narrates Voidstar for Imp characters nowadays, or by good old Darth Marr for old times sake.
  12. They even asked for feedback, after the alterations they made :/. We gave it again, and nothing. I'm still hoping they will improve it soon, but they should hurry. A bad grind to keep people subbed may instead have the opposite effect.
  13. Yes, it's bad . We gave tons of feedback on the PTS, but it was only marginally improved (and in some ways worsened). The system is convoluted, and forces players to play specific aspects of content. Daily pve missions, world bosses, NiM ops, or ranked arenas. No options for warzone players for example (esp. to get reputation), even though it's in pvp that new gear matters most. Well, there are the occasional rotating weekly mission options, but they rotate obviously, instead of always offering something for all player types.
  14. I mentioned this before so yes I know . The stat difference between 252 and 258 is significant however. As I also mentioned before, with this gear system, pvp bolster should be 258 or at least 256. (Or the system needs to be changed to also accommodate wz players.) With 258 there'd still be a benefit to getting actual 258 gear, due to the way bolster works, and as you say for min-maxing. But it would be a benefit on the same scale as the difference between 236 and 240 augments. I totally agree when it comes to pve. But pvp is a different matter. This is also why there should be a separate pvp gear.
  15. In a more distant future, where hopefully we'll have pvp comms and pvp gear back, various cosmetic items like decorations etc. could also be made to be buyable for pvp comms.
  16. I think making wins count more towards the weekly and daily should incentivise people playing objectives. They should be changed like the ranked arena dailies & weeklies were changed, and they should reward Ossus rep tokens (or, if the reputation requirement for gear gets removed, an increased amount of UCs).
  17. Sigh. I'm speaking generally. I'm not the only pvper who finds repeated pve boring. I for one have saved up UCs since I returned a couple months ago. I have a lot of time to play, but not everyone does. I have friends and acquaintances for example who don't. My fears are uneven pvp matches due to gear and a decrease in population due to discontent (related), not me specifically not getting gear. Listen to yourself. You can spend 500-1500 UCs per week, to get 1-2 crystals. Each 252 costs 2 crystals. Each 258 costs 3-4 crystals. So even if we assume getting all 252 from rng crates and missions, and spend all crystals on 258 -- and let's assume left side + belt costs 3 and right side except belt costs 4 -- we'd need 7*3 + 5*4 = 41 crystals. So even in the best scenario, of spending 1500 UCs for 2 crystals per week, we'd need about 21 weeks to gear by UCs only. Of course it would be faster if one uses pleb alts to gear 1 char, but I assume most players will want to gear all their Ossus-level chars, in which case it would likely take longer, due to the amount of UCs needed. You say that those who enjoy wzs but don't have much time to play don't deserve to have gear. So by extension, anyone who happens to land in the same match as one of these "undeserved", doesn't deserve to play an even pvp match? Pvp should be about skill, not gear. That's one reason why fast pvp gearing in 4.0 was good.
  18. Yes, we can buy the crystals with UCs, but they'll be useless so long as we don't farm the rep. Plus, it will take many months to gear just 1 char with UCs only. Once again, maybe FPs are cool for you, but not everyone enjoys all content. It's not about hardship, but about enjoyment. This is a game! Daily pve quests are also easy, but that doesn't mean everyone enjoys them.
  19. No, those are not the only fixes. The best fix is to simply improve upon current matchmaking, only having equal amounts of equally sized groups on each team. Separating queues would just reduce the player numbers in both. And auto separating groups is just unnecessary; if a group is not getting pops, they can themselves choose to either separate, keep waiting or stop playing.
  20. I'm having something similar. In the roster, when logged into one of my chars, that char's legacy name is correct, but the name of all my other chars is something unfamiliar. The legacy names of my (offline) guildies all seem fine. When logged into another of my chars, all my chars' legacy name is correct. Edit: On a 3rd of my chars, it also displays wrong for my offline chars, but a different legacy name... The char on whom the correct name is shown for all, is the guild leader, but I don't know if that's just coincidence.
  21. No, that's a rotating weekly that changes every week. Another week it will be to complete 5 flashpoints or something. Well that's great but as said not everyone enjoys all types of content, and should not have to do other content to gear up for the specific content they do enjoy. This system has the added effect of reducing wz pops, as pvpers spend their time farming pve on Ossus.
  22. 252 gear will be negligible in pvp because bolster is at 252. It won't be worth min-maxing 252 gear when 258 is the max gear. As mainly pvpers, many of us don't enjoy doing daily/weekly pve missions. I for one find it boring. Furthermore, many of us wzs players also don't enjoy or don't have dedicated teams for ranked arenas. That's the main problem; having to do undesired content in order to be competitive in desired content. The gear is locked behind reputation, and there is no way to gain reputation from doing wzs (possibly except the occasional rotating weekly, don't remember if it gives rep, but either way that's not good enough). Of course gear above bolster lvl has an advantage in wzs. Bolster should be increased to 258 or at least 256, or the reputation requirement should be removed, along with making the weekly masterwork mission also have a wz objective possibility. The rotating weekly should be remade, and also always offer the possibility to complete "one of the following objectives" to accommodate all the types of players who need the gear.
  23. I've only done the Imp story so far. This feedback is mainly about story. I've discussed gear in other threads. There were some nice moments in the story. There were a couple class-specific nods to our character, which always makes me happy. It was neat that previous choices were taken into consideration and had a flavour effect on the story. Old story characters showing up was cool and made the world feel more real. Some areas of Ossus look great, especially the library. It was good to be back with our classic faction again, and cool that we could pick faction, but it should've been something that is reflected in-game. As with KotFEET (and to lesser degree areas of older content), there were also two recurring and related things that I find very bothersome. 1: Our player character, despite having done great things in the past, often appears like a side-kick to (weaker) NPCs, or a child coddled and led by (weaker) NPCs. There were way too few cool independent moments befitting their character. When our PC got a dialogue like "No, I'm doing it this way", they usually got shut down by NPCs basically saying "no" and that's that. That could maybe work for certain non-force using classes depending on the NPC, but for example a Sith Lord as powerful as the PC would not take that. They would take charge and boss the others around. (Like we saw a certain NPC do.) For any actual choice, they got coddled and led to by NPCs, like a child. It's annoying and immersion breaking. 2: A one story that is meant to fit all classes. It ends up not fitting many (and often none). Force-users end up looking weak, not using their force powers, and being talked down to by NPCs, unable to retaliate. A powerful Sith Lord would not use bombs to open doors, as we had to in one mission -- they'd use the force! Everyone is called "Commander"; I was really hoping we could finally go back to being My Lord, Agent, Captain, Jedi Master etc again this time around! I'm tired of "the Alliance" and have been since early KotFE. I don't like being treated like an outsider in my faction. The Alliance fits some characters, but not all. I wish that instead of putting so much resources into making cutscenes where NPCs appear awesome, you would put more into making class-customised dialogues and cutscenes where our player character appears fittingly powerful. That's what I want to see: my lovely characters being awesome and being the class they are. Other than that, the story felt strange at times. I was left with questions, but I realise this is just the beginning, so not really bothered by it. Overall, it was an experience mixed of both disappointment and joy. Interested to see more, and hoping for more of the good stuff in the future.
  24. Oh, some of the old companions are getting same gender romance options? That's great! As I mentioned in another thread some days ago, I wish that had been done with male companions too... like Quinn, and Vector. Vanilla story should not be altered. It would screw over our existing chars. New dialogue cutscenes are good. There can still be some added for companions who already returned, something like the Arcann scene.
  25. Oh, come on. I feel that way too sometimes, it's a bit funny, but really if story quest choices awarded millions of credits, everyone would have to pick them for gameplay reasons. It would take away the choice element, seeing as non-credit story choices don't have enough effect on the gameplay to compensate. Plus it would cause a lot more inflation. I think it's fine as it is. It's just symbolic. Could maybe be increased a tiny bit, but no actual riches.
