  1. In regards to your first question, I have no info because.... In regards to your second question, I learned while in beta the crafting quest can very quickly and easily eat away at your bank account. Therefore I don't do any of them early in the game until I have sufficiently bank rolled enough cash....especially saving for first speeder. All I will do is gather resources to keep that skill progressing. This being case though I've have Underworld training as one of my selected crew skills I haven't progressed far enough to be able to answer your main question.
  2. While the queues stink for sure, if there were more people it would drive me insane, as I am already having to stand around in many places waiting for things regenerate so I can complete quest. Almost everywhere I've gone on Balmorra so far there are at least three people deep at some locations waiting for something to regenerate. Oddly enough I did have thismissuemso much until Balmorra even though the number of people on the worlds were roughly the same as they are for me on Balmorra. Though I guess if given the choice I'd rather be waiting around in the game vice staring at a queue counter!
  3. I was lucky enough to get to beta test this game. I am Replaying some stuff for the 5th time...character wipes and such during beta...and I am not even the slightest bit bored. Sorry this game doesn't fit your gaming preferences, but for me it is easily the best game I've played since the original KOTOR.
  4. Yeah I am hoping they fix this as well. While just minor, it is a bit tedious to have it constantly default back on after load screen.
  5. Don't you think a post about this possibly being a bug...even though its not even a game breaking one...suggesting Bioware fix this issue might have been a tad bit more constructive and helpful to the gaming community here. I understand it may be annoying you, but the hyperbole of your title over something so simple really makes you look silly.
  6. I didn't get my key from Origin until yesterday late afternoon. I know that doesn't help you really, but just know all Origin key codes did NOT go out on the 16th.
  7. Sorry to hear your are having issues, but I think it is something on your end. I was lucky and was due for a new computer (4+ years since I bought my last one). Old one still worked for everything but newer games. Anyway, I just bought a new decent computer, not top of the line but fairly decent, and I have zero issues running this game at any point with all graphics settings on high and with Cox's lowest internet speed (up to 3MB). The only thing I get is server lag on a couple of rare occasions....and I mean rare, perhaps a few seconds of lag lasting less than 10 seconds once every 5 hours or so.
  8. Oct 2nd here. No email yet but just now was able log in!
  9. Yeah, even when he supposedly knows after beta testing that he doesn't think the game is even that good. /sigh @ OP Buh-bye
  10. I hate to jump on the bandwagon here and I am not really trying to whine as I got a few months in as a beta tester. I am just trying to understand Bioware's logic on this. First let me say that as to fairness issue I do not feel the slightest bit treated unfairly that I am only going to get 5 days EA vice 7. However, I have zero intent on ever playing PVP, so that is no big deal to me. After getting stuck in 6 hour queues during the stress beta weekend test, at first the staggered access made sense as I figured they were trying to avoid this type of thing. However yesterday they posted the below on the "waves" sticky. If they have zero intent on trying to avoid queues then why stagger the access? Though perhaps this is still their way of still trying to work out how much traffic each server can handle and how many servers they are going to need? If so it makes some sense and we should appreciate their effort. We just don't know though. You'll see more servers coming online tomorrow, and almost certainly there will be some queuing. That was always expected. As a reminder, our plan here is to maintain healthy server populations post launch, and during the excitement of launch that will mean queues. That said, we'll be working hard to keep those queues reasonable. We'll check back in tomorrow with another update.
  11. They seem pretty cautious so I am betting there won't be one. Doesn't mean I won't be checking for an email later, just not expecting to see one.
  12. When did you register you code? I think you should be in by now I'd you registered you EGA code when you purchased
  13. Oct 2 here... My friend registered sept 29 and got in around 12 EST...so tomorrow looks like, based on their 4 waves in today. Sadly I am back to work tomorrow. Couple days off to recoup from surgery and I'll get in day the day that ends. Oh well I was lucky enough to get to beta test at least!
  14. @ OP I fully concur and because of the awesome games they make I am unashamed to call myself a Bioware fan boy. Though I have to be honest and say DA:2 was horrible, and that is being polite. So I do think Bioware can have a misstep from time to time. That being said I got to be a regular beta tester and on this game and can't wait to get back in and play. So this game IMO is NOT one of those missteps and is pretty sweet.
  15. So long as you don't get mad when SWTOR get most of my attention
  16. You obviously have not been paying attention. They've been saying for a while that access would staggered based upon when preorder codes were entered. You'll get in soon enough and YES I LOVE corporate America, thanks to them I have a job, roof over my head, plenty of food in my belly, my house is warm despite the chilly temps outside, I got a car with gas in it, nice comfy bed to sleep in, a brand new computer to play SWTOR on, wow this list could go on and on...not to mention my surgery that cost me zero yesterday thanks to the insurance paid for and provided by American corporations. So yeah I am kind of loving them.
  17. I am quite happy about it even though I know I preordered late enough I won't get in until probably Saturday. Even if it isn't until Monday it is still earlier than the 20th. I don't understand what the big deal with it is.
  18. See this is what I am confused about. They had to pay extra just to preoder the game? Example the game retails here in the US for $60. Right now if I preorder it I only have to pay $60, and not $65. They have a preorder fee of 5 Euros? So when the OP is saying they were charged 5 Euros JUST for an EGA code then they are confused (I'll give them the benefit of the not intentionally lying). They were not charged 5 Euros for and EGA code, they were just charged 5 Euros more as a "preorder fee" that they would have been charged regardless of whether there were EGA access or not?
  19. Yes but OP is saying they were charged for JUST for an EGA code. If I had to pay just to get an EGA code I'd be a little upset. Though I am thinking the retailer collected this fee outside of Bioware charging for it. If I were OP I'd be losing my mind at the store where they preordered. Sounds like they were taken advantage of a bit here and the retailer trying to make the sell had an interest in making the EGA sound better than it really is. I don't think Bioware is to blame here, but I feel for the OP. I am a trusting person and would'v taken the sales guy at their word at the POS. When I found out differently though, I would be right back in that store in a heartbeat and wouldn't leave untilI had my money for the EGA at least back in my pocket.
  20. Oh and sorry about that. I preordered the game trom GameStop here in the US back in August. When I went to put in my EGA code, I realized they didn't give me one (thought it was on the receipt). I went back to the store to get it, but they told me that everyone was out of them. Stupid me, listened to them and didn't look anywhere else until the end of Sept. Upon finding someone else selling them that still had EGA codes I cancelled my preorder with GameStop and they refunded me in full.
  21. I want to ensure that I am fully understanding. You were charged 5 (Euro, I believe you said) just for an EGA code?
  22. Yes but see if you can just get the EGA money back without cancelling the preorder. While I personally only know a handful of people who preordered none us were charged for an EGA code.
  23. I concur, but can't figure out why some people were charged for an EGA code. I'd be upset if they made me pay for one and then I didn't get what I paid for. You wouldn't be? Though I still judge that it is silly to cancel seeing how Bioware started EGA early and is trying to get people in. If I had paid for EGA, I might be a little upset at the moment that I had no clue when/if I were going to get in. THough the sticky Bioware posted did give feedback saying that initially there were a lot of preorders at the end of July then it slowed down. So I know they are giving us some info, but paying for something vice just getting for doing what you were already going to do (preorder the game) is something completely different. I would like to know if it was Bioware's policy to charge extra for EGA where the person is located or if it were the retailer just trying to make more money. If the latter it seems Bioware has an interest in ensuring that doesn't happen. It is their product and their name that is on the line here. If it were the retailer just marking something up for the heck of it and I were OP I'd be rolling there immediately demanding my money back.
  24. Oh I must apologize for my flaming response, I thought you were being silly and didn't realize you had to pay for a EGA code. If I had paid for it and got no EGA I would be a bit upset as well.
