  1. I heard they will take our lightsabers and give us lollipops, they already nerfed our surge damage which was alot of our dps, as well as nerfing cauterize. We dont enjoy the easy dps facerolling other classes can manage, yet we get nerfed again. Omg a sent killed me nerf them i want my easy kills back.
  2. No credit for fighting near base. Thanks now we have no choice but go out and get zerged by imps, you are forcing us to fight losing battles over and over. You have yet to even the odds or make it remotely fair, why do you hate republic?
  3. Why? It was supposed to be fixed, it is certainly not. Also, when I am kicked to character select why does it never load me back into the warzone I was just in. It makes no sense for the game to have much short term memory damage.
  4. why even bother with this, many mmo i have played allowed you to yank anyone in your group in the same zone in when you zone in, no need for running, no friends list, no teleporting around. Its taking the lackluster traveling and waiting out and allowing you to get back to what the game was intended for promoting, advancement.
  5. Problem: The problem with ilum is the very unbalanced population. This is not the devs fault, but it is their problem to overcome before the game degenerates. Solution: Get rid of factions in the pvp section of ilum, make it mixed teams with side A and side B, divide the teams evenly. Simple as that. Maybe not simple implementation but sound theory and it will fix most of the ilum woes atm. Alternative Solution: Put faction pop caps on the pvp portion of ilum. If there are 90 imps and 30 reps, they get buffed up to be equal to the imps standing size strength. "oh no imps having an even odds fight? Your favored deity forbid." It still will not overcome the gear difference we already face in an uphill climb to gear up equal to them. Problem: Melee dps jedi knights (sentinels)working way harder than Ranged/Heals in pvp for credit and accomplishments. We have no decent aoe damage, force sweep's range is miserable. Almost all of our ranged attacks are single target only. Solution: I really dont know what we can do different here. I guess we are stuck throwing our buff out when major fights happen and hope we do not die before our ranged get what few kills they can before the inevitable wipeout. Maybe if our aoe mez, awe had a small damage output on the front end we could get kill credit help from that. Why should republic people want to stay in ilum after they have their daily/weekly? -- 3:1 and 5:1+ ratio outside the rep base to yank you into a 3 second spam cc death is the reason. Our cannons outside only work for about 6 seconds and any stun or knockdown kicks you off and then its gone and not back before you are all wiped. Its like standing on the beach waiting for a tsunami to come in. Funny for imps I am sure, making reps hate it more and more every day. The other problem is the cannons only have about a 50yd effective range. A base should be hard to attack. We should be able to defend it at least, but all we can do is cower inside while the brave few sneak out to check if any of our cannons are up. This is anything but fun. The imps are complaining because there are not of us in ilum to kill, the nerve of them. lol
  6. Its no wonder to me why there are so few jedi knights. With all the disadvantages we have, we are the lowest damage class that i can see, and on top of that we have to run everyone down in a game with way to many ranged attacking multiple slow/root having and they can heal themselves of top of it all. why would you play a broke useless melee jedi when you could play a lightning throwing, superman bubbling, heal and nuke your face off sith sorc or bounty hunter, or sniper. When im standing behind a healer, and hitting zealous strike, the 6 focus building jedi knight sentinel main power builder, and I have hit it about 10 times. It does nothing, this is not slow response, this is not delay, this is not working period. The delays are so bad most healers just stand there and laugh at me, they let me have their back and say nothing or just quip "go away" they dont even try to avoid me, turn to face me, or the damage im doing from behind no less. Its more that annoying, its more than 'you need to learn to pvp'. maybe other melee dont notice this but with all the fancy swings that take way to long when all you want is to crack skulls and you cant because of the the lag delay and them simply moving too far away. I play ranged classes and they have 0 delay, their skills start destroying whatever you are focused on. Its not just delays, its the overall jedi melee mechanics, i dont see and overly long played out animations on the empire sith toons, I dont see any long charge stationary attacks like master strike. Why do we have all these disadvantages??????????? Was the republic dev team so mad they didnt get to work on sith they decided to make our lives miserable, not completely, but enough subtle little things that add up to an overall lame faction in comparison. The majority of my server is sith, 30 min in ilum will show you that. Making everything population dependent and forcing faction pvp down our throats when population numbers clearly warrant this to be scrubbed so its all mixed factions. Its a wonder that anyone playing melee thats not an operative or tank still wants to pvp. But maybe I just have the shortest straw, and im on the lesser of 2 sides, so overall im in the worst melee class on the worst side. Guess I should just play my trooper till they get around to fixing all the problems with jedi knight sentinels mechanics and delays and overall llame dps performance.
  7. So when are we going to get away from this awful faction based pvp and start forcing teams that are MIXED republic and empire. Get rid of this stupid empire vs republic crap, it was nice in theory and thats where it should have stayed and died. It has no place in a game unless you want tons of people quitting and complaining. Take the open world pvp section of ilum and make it into a wz like area, Side A and Side B. then divide up the people in 25man groups or wtfe # you think is appropriate and let people fight. No premades, no guild alliances, no more bs, just fighting, you either fight for your side and kill the other people, take objectives or lose. No more poplulation difference advantage, no more base/objective camping, less complaint threads to read. Why has this not happened yet? THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO DO!
  8. We are worthless in pvp, now even more so in ilum. How are we supposed to get 21 kills when there are 50 sith outside our base? I leap in and get one swing off if im lucky before the cascade of lightning and ranged and cc nukes me almost instantly. Life expectancy after leap is about 3seconds, even with guarded by the force up reducing 95% of damage. Thanks, the only real way for me to get pvp gear to start to even compare to the overpowering unbalance given to ranged and virtually ever other melee is gone. Who did this patch benefit, it was not my class.
  9. This has effectively ruined any chance of daily or weekly ilum pvp quest rewards for melee. 1. We are vastly outnumbered by ranged dps I cant even get a 2 swings off on my jedi knight sentinel before I am dead. 2. We have 0 chance of getting the daily or weekly quest now that kills are required. This will only further the rerolling of jk sentinel into anything that is NOT AS HORRIBLE as we are in the pvp game aspect. ie anything is better, we have no use and no dual spec doesnt allow us to use a raid pve spec and a pvp spec, but both are horrible dps overall anyway. 3. We had no fixes in the patch, oh I notice some nonsense about not targeting holo dancers with force leap. Yeah, thanks for listening to everyone that complained about the one thing people could misuse in huttball. Where is our dps output buff, hell you even buffed a sith sorc ability to do more damage, great they didnt nuke me fast enough before so i could get a few swings in before they healed and ***** me. 4. You have ruined my chances of advancing in pvp by getting gear from dailies and ilum weekly. 5. You have shown your disdain for the Jedi Knight sentinels and ignored any requests for balance in pvp for us. You see tons of people calling out for nerfs on operatives/scoundrels, sage/sorc, and bounty hunter/troopers. The only thing anyone had to say about the Jedi Knight is force leap targetted holo dancers. The reason nobody is complaining about us is we suck and they dont want their easy kills to go away. 6. We are so lacking in effectiveness. We have one cc break and its a minute timer, that is nothing when almost every other class has multiple cc/snare/root/stun/mez, one break doesnt go very far when you have overwhelming opposition using multiple cc. Oh yes we can spec force camo into a snare or root break but thats it, not helping when your stunned or mezzed. Our only real cc is force stasis, its 3 seconds and has to be channeled, so its easy to interupt, and we cant do anything to them while thats ticking. Many of the other classes have full 5 sec stuns so during that 5 seconds they can just roll up and down us. 7. Thanks for your love of empire, you have shown us that you want them to be so much stronger not only in numbers but now they have a clear path to max valor by farming our turrets. Its hard to get our idk how many kills you thought we should get, when there are 40 sith outside our base nuking turrets and anyone dumb enough to come into range. 8 You have ruined melee pvp, I know i have said it several times now, but I figured after a month of being ignored enough is enough. Going to level a smuggler now i guess the last month was a waste of my life. Thanks
  10. Save yourself the tickets and hassle and just add an hour timer to allow us to try a piece and trade for another if its not working the way we intended. That is all.
  11. Nothing is the same on either side. saying people like me shouldnt exist in the world means you dont like to hear people that disagree with you. That speaks volumes on your age and maturity. I do not live in a fantasy world where everything is perfectly balanced. You would fit better in the 40s Nazi regime. From most of the proof on these forums, the only viable melee in pvp is the tank and operative. Casters dominate because they have most all of the cc and they refresh way faster than melee dps ccbreaks. Either they need to raise the melee range or the damage we throw out. Its hard to run someone down and kill them when about every ranged dps can throw some sort of heal or just one on one not being able to out dps their heals. Its plain pathetic. I see ranged people in full champions if not battlemaster and 60+valor and they just wreck me. I have only 3 pvp armor pieces from 20+ bags, that drop rate sucks and being a weak class I get less valor and commendations, the ranged are swimming in both. Now they want to make the dailies need kills in ilum, thats going to put an even larger gap in the loot reward earning for us jedi melee dps we just cant compete. Its got nothing to do with skill, one cc break on a minute timer does very little to help you kill a ranged with numerous cc abilities and way faster refreshes. They say say oh your fighting the wrong people and need to pick better targets, which targets are we talking about? I get just about the same results from every ranged class unless they are vastly lower level and no pvp gear. now that is going away. Look at the "whats the most dangerous pvp class" or "who's the best killer" threads, you will not see Jedi Sentinel listed. I have a 16 trooper commando and his white primary damage is equal to my sent's when he is bumped up to 50 matches. His armor is atrocious and missing some slots. Sent is in mostly purples and oranges. That is just plain wrong. I earn more medals and do about the same damage, part of it is due to heals, but they are pretty pathetic, most of it is survivability due to ranged dps and use of aoe knockback/ freeze grenade and snare/knockdown/other cc built into most damaging abilities. Skills got little to do with it, its the lack of tools on the sent to compete.
  12. Ignoring class balance again, people still complain about being in lvl 50 matches and there would be no issue with that if empire wasnt overpowered and melee were viable, other than tank and operatives.
  13. Just thought I would save you the anguish of making a melee, they are very underpowered and almost no use in pvp. Make a ranged dps/healer or if u want to make a melee make an operative so you can 4 shot lvl 50s at lvl10.

If the classes were balanced, why arent their full premade teams of jedi knight/sith warriors? why is it you will maybe see one and they are usually tank spec, its normally all agents, sorcs, and bh. The reason is they dont want the worst pvp class, which is sentinel/wtfeimpsidehas. Its all about ranged dps and the operatives and their kill you before you get off the ground knockdown/rapefest. Watch how lopsided the teams are with ranged dps. yea you may have a few guys slip in with a sent in full pvp armor but its a super rare thing, most are ranged dps in full pvp.
  15. When playing in warzones, none of them are deathmatch kill only oriented so why are they sorted by damage and not objective points. I have seen many times where people just vote for the top person on the list even when they did nothing to help win just ran around nuking people the whole time, 0 objective points. It would also be nice to see the score during the game not having to wait till the end to see how horrible it is.
