  1. When I was at Phoenix Comic Con, there was a "Future of the Force" Panel that talked about the current state of current games like TOR (among other things). Basically they said everything starting Shadow of Revan going forward will be canon, but details about events that happened to characters that feature in the game will not have to hold to things established before SoR. So in other words, quasi-cannon. Think about it this way, they don't have to hold to ideas or things about the SW universe prior to what they have their hands on already. And references and ideas can be brought into new works at will. Ultimately it doesn't change a whole lot for our day to day other than that we probably won't see a cancellation of TOR for a while (for those haters who want a new SW MMO ).
  2. As for the original post, I would recommend Concentration as it tends to be in my opinion the easiest to get into and robust enough to keep you interested once you've mastered the basics. Watchman is going through some tough times right now and combat has a fairly steep learning curve. If you do play a Guardian/Jugg, you can translate a lot of the skills from Focus/Rage into the Concentration spec with a few adjustments. Hope that helps!
  3. I'm with you guys, Fury Marauder has been the path forward for me for a long time, and there ain't nothing that's gonna get me off this train. *Cue the incoming nerf hammers* All joking aside, its a shame what's happening in our class and I hope things get better for our PVPers. More importantly, I hope the class improves in ALL areas of play, and not just PVP. I feel like the discussion gets hung up on just the PVP impacts and not the full impacts everywhere else. Hopefully the development team will look at our QoL issues or the inconsistencies in our class (like the whole, Juggs can do our shared spec better than we can) more closely.
  4. Not to pour salt in the wounds but its a bit hyperbolic to say Death of Mara/Sent is coming due to decidedly awful changes to one spec. While I am with you my fellow marauders/sentinels that its crappy and frustrating that seemingly this isn't going our way, we need to persevere. Keep playing and let the numbers speak for themselves. I've been playing since beta, I've seen ups and downs with this class. My particular spec (Fury) seems to get ignored in most of the changes discussions (perhaps its for the best) but still I go on. Admittedly I'm not a hardcore PVPer, nor am I in heavy progression for PVE content (I get into a few SM ops now and then) and while I wish some of the changes were implemented that have been suggested by many talented members of our community I accept that I'm a consumer in this paradigm. I can voice my frustration but let's make sure things don't get toxic, let's do what we can to keep them involved and keep trying to get our points across in a way that doesn't make us seem like the bad guys here. I'll get off my soapbox now, and keep watching things as they unfold, let's keep it classy guys.
  5. I'm trying to see this from their side of things, and by the philosophy they're telling us is motivating the change. I can see where they are intending to go with this but as many others have stated this is frankly a nerf rather than a reallocation on other utilities. I feel Utilities have gone from their intended purpose of adding "flavor" to a particular spec in the advance class and is basically a dumb down version of the skill tree that had required specs. As a slightly off topic aside, I'm a long-time Fury(formerly Rage) Marauder, so I don't have a horse in the Anni/Watchman changes but they do seem awful, especially since the design them has told us they're we're we want them to be PVP wise. (Not much has changed on the Fury front except for a slight nerf in 3.2, we're already underperforming according to the official posts, but that's whatever) If they're really intending to bring us in line with other classes, why are all the changes seemingly negative? Is there one guy throwing off their curve in internal testing? I'd like a little insight on that frankly.
  6. Not a SWTOR Short per se, but definitely a 10/10 would watch if this came on Saturday morning cartoons in the 80's
  7. Currently a 276 queue tonight, est. wait time 30 minutes.
  8. With the changes done in 3.0 I find the Fury Marauder to be much more in line with the other specs in terms of single target damage. Granted that took a lot away from smash, but I actually don't miss it too much. That in addition to some defensive passives and choices you can make in the disciplines, I find that Fury actually not as squishy as it used to be. I bet with a bit more gear (I only have most of the basic tier PVE set at the moment) I'll be even more unstoppable.
  9. I'll chime in as a longtime Marauder player, and see if I can help a buddy out. It can be a bit tough to fight 2 silvers, especially if said silvers are the bruisers we've been seeing in the new content. At this point in time, an updated geared Quinn is pretty much necessary. I play a fury marauder, so basically the key elements to a fight with these guys is focusing one while using whatever CCs you have on the other. Typically if that happens, one of them will focus on Quinn for a bit and that'll take some of the heat off of you. People sometimes forget to use the AOE fear and that'll help in between other abillities like force choke and our interrupt. Really the big issue right now is ability lag, and I'm sure once BW figures that out (like when RotHC came out) silvers won't be too much of a hassle.
  10. It's really hard to say. As a (now dubbed) "Fury" Marauder since before 2.0, I've seen the ups and downs with the class. 2.10 saw me through taking on groups of six and 1-shoting them with smash. The spec needed to be changed, and while it has been an adjustment for sure, I'm sure after they figure out the ability lag thing (which plagued Rise of the Hutt Cartel too at launch) and I get fully geared I'll probably be back to that. While not a completely different experience for me, it's certainly shaken up the status quo when I go into fights and made things a bit more life or death rather than just me mowing down waves of NPCs. It's also made me use some of our defensive cooldowns during what would of been routine encounters. I'd recommend going back to the fleet, figuring out which spec fits your play style, and work on getting that figured out. That alone will make a world of difference.
  11. Oh, nevermind, looks like I'm in now. Back to the action!
  12. Currently experiencing this too on the Harbinger, position 181 with a 25m wait time. Haven't had this happen since the early days...
  13. Basically its this, but unfortunately its Medium only and it was for IA PVE set piece. If you had a Marauder you could use it. http://tor-fashion.com/rakata-field-tech/
  14. Given his specs, he's using tri-channel 3x2GB Ram sticks. (I have a similar i7 920 setup) I got the SSD and I do notice a bit of a bump on planet loading, and loading in general in other games. Unless you can find tri-channel 4GB sticks for dirt cheap or at least cheaper than what you plan for on the SSD, I'd go the SSD route.
  15. Surely you can't be serious OP, I mean there is blowing things out of proportion and there's making Mt. Everest out of an ant hill. It really wasn't this unforgivable thing you're making it out to be, move on dude.
