  1. Scoundrel healing is fine atm, great aoe heals, excellent hots and decent burst (though requires constant energy management) when needed. Keep the healing buffs up maintain upperhand at all times. Previously the class was considerably op healing, now it is right where it needs to be. The only time scoundrel healing is weak in a raid is when paired with another scoundrel. My advice to you (op) is to practice in flashpoints, get full 186 gear and augment it with power augments along with maybe 2 mainstat augments. As you progress the gear will boost your mainstat where it needs to go. Power is the key though, more power better base healing across the board. There is an excellent guide to pve healing on duffy here's the link http://dulfy.net/2015/02/02/swtor-3-0-scoundrel-sawbones-healing-guide-by-orderken/
  2. The point of it was this, someone had a great dream that there would be so many people playing that enough would want to open world pvp against their own faction, but alas..........
  3. I have resubbed as well so Bio Ware comes out ahead.
  4. There will never be x server ques with the hero engine, so you might as well knock that off of your wish list.
  5. Actually I believe it's quite possible to write a macro to do this. Similar to a macro that respecs, both of course would be a violation of TOS.
  6. I did not say that most of the time it isn't a l2p issue, I was just pointing out why there is more threads/replies in this forum than others. I believe the op was trying to say that the majority of players are pvp players because of the number of posts in this forum.
  7. It's all in an individuals perspective for the most part. As for other earlier comments..... They only thing that the thread count in the forum shows is that pvpers tend to ***** more. If you look at the majority of the threads started in this forum it's someone complaining about something and some more somoenes telling them to l2p. The truth is in this forum you have to wade through a metric **** ton of crap to dig out tidbits of useful information. If the pvp community was indeed the majority we would see pvp content released at the same rate pve content is released.
  8. I clicked for a very long time, now I play entirely with key binds. The transition was a b##ch , I did it by leveling a new character and key binding/mouse moving from the gate. It took awhile however I'm a better player for it than when I was clicking skills and moving with keys.
  9. but but buttons are being pressed w a d but mostly s
  10. Well out of curiosity I followed the link to his (ugly whatever the rest is) guild website with "TOS" link, ie troll on site. This told me heaps about him and the people he runs with, and will answer your question "Why not just let it be". Just sayins all.
  11. A group finder for pvp isn't the cure. It really isn't a matter of group make up, it's a skill/gear gap coupled with experience playing together as a team.
  12. lol your ego is showing through, winning is certainly not the most fun for most normal people. The fun is to be had in good competition. Hence the different divisions in various sports, and the handicap system in still others.
  13. The key there is 'all the time'. For most solo players time to spend in game can be a real issue. Therefore they want the time they have to spend in game to be a pleasant experience. Otherwise what is the point of even logging into the game?
  14. Also for what it is worth I don't believe a solo only que is the answer. I support a match making system that pits players of like skill against each other. Sadly though I don't think this game has enough of a pvp player base left to make this feasible.
  15. I group when I can happen to catch one of the couple of people out of our group of the almost 30 of us that came from another game at launch. The rest left the game either right before rated games were released or right after when it became obvious that the bio ware wasn't ready for rated play. The most cited reason for leaving was 'rolling over pugs is boring, no real challenge and just flat out unfair to the pugs. As for proof of content simply look at what's been released in terms of playable content since launch.
  16. I laugh when I read all the pro premade excuses. The bottom line is pvp in this game is dying, it's basically down to what 2 servers lol. At launch there were how many? The 2 reasons pvp is dying in this game are as follows. Solo aka casual players do not want to or like to waste their time being how did some put it oh yea, commendation node for farming. For that there is only one entity to blame and that's the egotistical so called 'pro players' who make the premades and use the casuals as commendation nodes for farming. The second reason pvp is dying is the lack of content designed for pvp, and guess what the same entity is blame. Why? Simple, you ran the bread and butter off, why should ea invest money in a dying part of the game? Surely their metrics tell them who's doing what in the game. Hence the rapid releases of pve content. I'd suggest that ya'll ego centric 'pro players' wake up and smell the coffee but your fkn heads are so swelled up with yourself that your noses can't smell the pile of **** ya'll dish out much less a good cup of coffee.
  17. The one thing I will add though on my way out the door is this. Bolster does not belong in Rated Play.
  18. I don't do ops, I don't do flash points. I barely have time to try and complete my daily pvp missions a couple of times per week. The thing is in that limited time I have to play I like to compete against other players not artificial intelligence in scripted instances. My sub money is as good as yours, why should I have to play at a disadvantage because I have to work 60 hours a week, and still take care of my family? If you have the time to grind up a full set of augmented conq gear you have the time to go through all the scripted progression that is pve. Also they are right you know, we are a mini game in this game, if you doubt that just look at the content releases. Number of flash points, ops, mission arks etc versus the amount of pvp released content. The thing is most (not all) hard core pvp'ers for some reason have the egotistical view that the game revolves around them. I'd like to sit here and continue this banter, however I have a 2.5 acre yard that needs cut.
  19. The recruit set was absolute garbage. Any free set would have to be very close to on par with partisan gear that was not augmented. In which case the 'pros' would cry that they had to 'work so very hard' for basically the same gear that was given to the how do you call them oh yeah 'care bears'.
  20. Bolster for pvp isn't necessarily about pver's being able to pvp. The purpose is to level the playing field between those who have nothing but hours to sit and grind gear and those who's real life work and commitments only give them a very small window of time to play. I would imagine though that you op are one of those who gets a big hard on rofl stomping people who don't have any gear.
  21. That's rich, I transferred to Pot5, the first thing I noticed was the number of people that quit wz's. I started watching and the majority of those that quit were guild tagged. This observation was made the day transfers were opened, surely all of those were not new transfers. All in all in my opinion the average player on Pot5 is much more immature than the average player was on JC.

    What the hell

Couple of people early in the thread gave the key, switch instances. As for the 'play on a pvp server for the ques' I transferred my main from Jedi Covenant, the ques were just as quick there as they are on potf. The whole open world pvp while doing dailies etc adds a level of excitement to the game, this is why I transferred.
  23. I solo que 100 percent of the time now. Most of the people I started the game with have moved on, I moved on and came back for a bit. In my observations I don't necessarily see that the game needs separate ques for groups and soloers. I see that the system needs to be tweaked. The only real butt whipping wz's I experience is when I land on a team that is 8 solo pug players vs to premades of 4. When it's a group of 4 and 4 solo players as long as the group plays tight and the soloers actually play objectively then it's generally a fairly tight match. The real horror comes when the opposing team actually landed 2 groups of 4 from the same guild in reg wz, this should never ever happen. Since it does happen it only servers to support that there is flaws in the match making system. This fix imo would be a tweak to the matchmaking system that did not allow for 2 groups vs 8 randoms. It should always search to make matches that are fairly balanced as to the groups. Ie 2 groups of 3 and 2 randoms vs 1 group of 4, 1 group of 2 and 2 randoms. It's up to the players to bring their skill level up to par, not the system to cater to a players skill level.
  24. Probably has been stated somewhere in this thread, but I'm not reading it all. The solution is really very simple. Everyone should be rated and matches should be based on that rating. Let the 2kr's play against each other and the 1kr's play against each other. Better pvp for all.
