  1. I normally run this spec, both for pvp and dailies. 36/7/3 Kinda fallen in love with laze-ep-knockback-snipe. I tried other builds, but i feel like i am missing an attack if i don't have stroke of genius. Not as good as it used to be pre 2.0, since one need 2*snipe to reset followthrough now, and it is pretty much on cooldown all the time. But it works for me.
  2. Maybe a shaved cathar with a wig could pass for a wookie?
  3. Those last 3 forcefields could do with a redesign. It is possible to exploit them more then one way.
  4. It could be intresting to see the simulation run with higher power too, up to about 2000. This for a best case scenario with procs from both the new relics at the same time. I also wonder if a critical hit will bypass shields absorption , and for that reason, one could be better off with improving critical rating a bit, to avoid all our sweet hits beeing eaten up by a shield.
  5. Since i would benefit from this, i support this idea of course. And the more the merrier.
  6. I guess i should get my hearing checked, since it sounded to me that he said star wars the ill republic at the beginning. Otherwise, thank for the video. Looking forward to it.
  7. Perhaps others have put their pvp gear on, reducing the damage they take , or by other means (exploiting) getting their expertise up high. I had a 9.1k ambush the other day, but most crits between 6 - 8 k.
  8. An npc to buy all the JUNK i gotten from packs. The gtn is flooded, and leftovers are all wasting space in my vaults. Can't even buy more packs cause there is no more room. and 2: Togruta playable race.
  9. There will be more to reach for in 2.0 This article may provide some intresting read for the OP. A shame i don't remember all of it from the PTS, but there was a ton of achievements, mostly out on the planets of course. And some you probaly already completed. I made a new toon on the red eclipse last week, and have some ups and downs in baby pvp on a different server , learning something new. A bit more challenging then having a hoard of alts backing my levelling efforts. Didn't even have enough credits to learn series of shots when i reached the level i could learn it, lol.
  10. It is also april the first today.
  11. It would be nice if the system message in a warzone showed who capped or scored. I'd very much like to vote on ppl who "turn" the tide , but if i am locked in a fight elsewhere, i may be too busy to keep track of what everyone does.
  12. The one played by someone who KNOWS how to play a tank.

    Bad Luck?

Yup. It sounds like what an average PVP day on swtor can be like. And since the ppl one played with in the last match also finish at the same time, many of them are likely to queue up again at the same time , resulting in "simular" onesided matches. Sometimes it helps to wait 5-10 minutes before one queue again, and as a lot of others have suggested , time of the day can matter quite a bit. Getting into a pvp orientated guild , and form or join their pvp groups can help quite a bit too.
  14. Good topic. Atm i think the win/loss ratio of each player is on of the better suggestion. Just not to the point where the very high or very low gets excluded from ever getting into a match. Perhaps adding modifiers for premades, so a premade is more likely to face another premade. I'd like to see crossfaction teams possible too, but only as a last resort. IE, late night, and only 12 rep and say 4 imps queue, my guess, they be more happy to have a match, rather then waiting in vain (On the other hand, they may be better off sleeping, but many a good match happens in the small hours).
  15. FOTM, Flavor Of The Month . I knew it when i logged onto PTS, seeing a Gunslinger and what i belive is a juggernaut on the intro picture. That is of course the reason some trolls think we will become FOTM. Along with Juggernaut/guardians of course. This picture. Considering the improved shield mechanics and what the other classes got, i don't see any other serious reason.
  16. My sniper, then my gunslinger. Or maybe the other way around, if i am still around.

    Scripts in PVP

Scripts are just lengthy / advanced macros and i think the "no automation" rule affects scripts as well. But a script that actively monitors certain parameters, but require you to hit a button to perform any action based on it, might slip past those rules given in the post i linked. Edit: Me too would be happy to see an update on BW's stance on those issues.

    Scripts in PVP

A bit old, but a quick google search: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=3061390#post3061390
  19. One player should not be able to flag another for PvP on a PvE server. Period. If it's still possible ,then it is most likely either intentional or a low priority fix. I sign your plea too.
  20. PvP , PvE and RP servers was made to make the game playable for most types of people. More people, more money (Money talks). And no, i am not against it, making money is good business , and of course required by the developer to keep the game up and running. I don't think 98% of the population on a PvP server are just noobkillers either, more like 5 - 10 % rotten eggs that will do ANYTHING they can to make others experience of the game as miserable as possible. Sadly, those rotten eggs just smells so bad they give PvP servers a worse reputation then they deserve. RP servers, well, i rolled on one and i like the people on it, although it is mostly a pure PvE type of server. The RP taking part could just as easily been done on any other server type, at least the part of RP i've seen. But i don't see a lot when hanging out on the fleet in queue for warzones, so.. i don't know all of it. When i played on (not WoW or swtor), i was on a PvE server, and the PvP intrested people just hung out at some place 1 - 2 minuts away from the main city , close enough to a sanctuary for spectators to stand and watch or have a talk, or walk 30ish meters and battle it out. Some loose sort of player imposed justice, but nothing too serious. The APAC servers.. well. I think it was very very bad of BW to do maintenance on those servers in the prime time of their days. Perhaps it would be best if they first merged the servers into the PvE one , and see how that would turn out.
  21. This one, which also became my favorite, should fit the bill. Took me a week, but i found it on the gtn. http://www.torhead.com/item/5Ba70JR/x-55-riot-infiltrator#screenshots Thanks to whoever helped me find the name of it back then,
  22. Sage / Sorc - Dull senses. 1.7 sec channeling time. Increases targets Cast time and Global Cooldown by 100% for 9 secs. Instant skills get a 1.5 sec channel time before they execute. Cooldown 1.5 minute. Sage / Sorc - Force Persuade. 1.5 sec channeled ability. Makes the target unable to see and target you for 4 secs. Audible with "I'm not the target you are looking for" or something simular. Unaffected targets will of course be able to see the sage/sorc. 40 sec cooldown. Sniper / Gunslinger - Clone / My best friend: Spawns a clone of your toon for 9 seconds , and if targetted by anyone when you activate the skill, they will now be targetting the clone. If you move, your clone will move opposite of your direction, but otherwise perform the same action as you do. Your clone will have vanish if hit. Cooldown 1.5minute, but a talent high up in lethality tree will reduce it to 1 minute. Agent/Scoundrel - Clone. Simular to the sniper clone, although the operative will gain 3 secs of stealth, and the clone only last for 5 secs, or until hit. Also reduce healing taken by 70%. Cooldown 45 Secs. (I have not played a high level agent/scoundrel yet, so not sure if this would be overpowered. May want to swap this version with the sniper version if another stealth skill would make agents wastly OP). Mercenary / Commando - WarCry / Take Command: Roots an an enemy for 2 secs, and have a 80% chance of removing 1 buff effect on the target, and 20% chance of removing a second one. Audible with "Hands up!!" or "Attention on deck!". Cooldown 1.5 minute.
  23. 2-16-23 - so called hybrid. Different people may place points somewhat different in the tier 2, but that is the basic. 2 primary burst, corrosive grenade+Corrosive dart then cull. Or explosive probe + series of shots. Squishy, but very very deadly. Energy intensive. Full MM Bursts based around ambush, snipe and followthrough. And of course Series of shots. "Good" defenses, at least for a sniper. Got diversion which is good to get other snipers out of cover, or lower other's AC's accurary quite a bit for some time. Makes force lightning miss, hehe. Some small tricks, probaly known already. Snipe/ambush + grenade when halfway channeled, and nade + main hit will hit at the same time. Other instant skills works quite well too. On Gunslinger this does not work completly simular, but with followthrough, the nade will hit at the same time as the followthrough. Of course, if you ain't in a hurry, corrosive dart and interrogation probe will give more bang for the buck (damage pr energy). Kinda make it more colorful you know, some yellow damage in all that white stuff. Snipe-grenade-followthrough is still faster then snipe-followthrough-grenade. At least it seem so. Energy hungry though, for that little extra hitting on your Ambush/snipe-followthrough. Nice for that little finishing touch though. Experimental MM/Engineering Cover pulse do not respect the global cooldown, nor does the global cooldown respect Cover Pulse. Laze Target, target aquired, cover in place and entrench do not respect the global cooldown either. One can use all those skills in less then a second if you type fast. Cover pulse also override the explosive probe toss animation. I suspect, but have not yet tried other no GCD skills to override EP toss animation. If you have an instant snipe available, either in the MM tree, or stroke of genius in the engineering tree, it is quite possible to do: Cover, Entrench, Laze Target , explosive probe, cover pulse, "instant snipe" = Big badaboom in about 1.5 - 2 secs. Can come in handy if you want to give those operatives and assassins a nasty little surprise. Goes so fast that all they see is the cover pulse going off and their hps is down at least 5k when they land. Cluster bombs, and/or followthrough is quite nice for following up this. Fun trying it out, but i find myself returning to hybrid for damage dealing, and engineering for usefulness to the team. Cover pulse is just too situational for stroke of genius to be valuable. More health is possibly a better choice. And of course, one can skip the insta snipe talent, and use another instant skill like rifle shot, shatter shot etc.. Just be careful, if we do too much damage, we'll probaly get hit by the nerfbat.

    Patch tomorrow 1.7

Not seeing any of 1.7. However, if you read state of the game, there are an itty bitty spot about what is planned for 1.7. I say planned, as in nothing is certain yet. edit: There is a maintenance notice of january 8th, my bad.
