  1. I had something simular happening to me last week, though that was more like autocomplete seemed to complete a questchain twice.
  2. Not really. It seems to become more and more common in the software industry.
  3. I think one of my biggest "gripes" in this game at the moment is there isn't a way to exclude arenas from warzone que. Unless i missed out some option to do just that, which is quite possible.
  4. Do this exploit of a bugged utility also work for scoundrels?
  5. Not much yet, just trying to mentally prepare for letting my teams down in the arenas. They are much less forgiving for mistakes then warzones. At least it will be quick.
  6. Would a challenge mode work? As in, a leader of a group of 8 can challenge another group of 8, and/or put up a public challenge one way or another. Rewards would be equal for both winning and loosing, to reduce win trading a little bit. One of the problems we had back when 8vs8 was doable, was to get to fight an equal team. We knew who we wanted to fight, and they were eager too, but way too often we ended up against a third team. I could see a problem with rank farming with such a mode though.
  7. Perhaps they could sticky this thread, or at least make a new one to clarify their stance on macros. It could be helpful, both for new and old players.
  8. Actually, the dev tracker is quite a good read sometimes. It doesn't always have the news one hope for, but here was a little notice conserning this bug. Thought i'd share it. Link
  9. On hutta, in the Nemro's palace, there is a protocol droid and a wookie sitting at a game table. The protocol droid have it's arms ripped or screwed off.
  10. - You wonder why half of the players don't leave a real football match when their opponent scores. - You want to skip through dinner conversation, and hits the edge of your plate instead of spacebar.
  11. This idea is for level 55. Think of it as an enforced , invisible recruit set. Using an item without expertise, will be the same as using a an unagumented partisan item , no matter if the item is a level 1 white item, or an augmented 55 mega ultra super uber pve item. It will have the same stats as a unagumented partisan item. If it has another amount of expertise then the partisan/conq item, it will be put at unaugmented partisan level , and not affect your bolstered stats at all , other then the type of item (primary the weapon spots) The player should however, be able to choose if he/she wants their bolster to favor a certain stat. As in, a tank may want to set their bolster to reflect a defensive item set. Maybe a slider to let you adjust the stats within certain limits , or adjust one stat at the cost of another (within reason of course, about 20 pr item) Once you put a partisan or conq item in the spot, and the expertise matches, that spot is no longer affected by expertise , allowing you to min/max the item more to your own taste. There is a couple problems, and one is the expertise crystal. May want to hardcap expertise , or just put two possible values as ideal for the weapon spots , to make sure all crystal currently in the game is usable. Another problem are the relic spots. Do we want to give proc relics, or flat stats ones , as in, we don't want bolstered relics to be better then the partisan ones, but not terribly bad either. I am currently clueless about this one. While not totally needed, it could be nice to see our bolstered stats. Perhaps on its own tab, you know, add a bolstered tab you can choose from at the place you choose too see ship , companion and your own stats. Result: No more way undergeared players in warzones. No more gear based exploits (unless the devs screw up). Even someone completly new to the game (as newbie one can be at lvl 55, that is) , may still be able to get a better experience at their first warzone , then just feeling like cannonfooder. People who pvp a lot get to min/max their gear to give them a little edge. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12. I like the campaign sniper rifle too. it's not too bad in warzones.
  13. I have this bug all the time when i play on the progenitor. But getting fed up with having to ctrl-u before every time i want to queue, i switched to my toon on the red eclipse server, and there everything worked as it should. Going back to the progenitor, and the problem is there again.
  14. Never gets old. Civil war, you have two nodes, you go help your lone side guardian to defend off an single intruder. While fighting off the intruder , you glance at the minimap, and watches the rest of your team at mid are "camping" the enemy spawn drop. And you know all too well, that mid turret will turn red very very soon.
  15. You can hit ctrl-u twice instead of re-login.
  16. Using a Logitech G710+ now. It's my first mechanical gaming keyboard , and going from a G510, it was like the difference between night and day. Have saved me from a lot of "hitting the wrong button" that i had with the G510.
  17. Your matrix cube got flat stats, and bolstered expertise, at least in warzones.
  18. Lokin? pfft, his skill as a medical doctor has lapsed. Give me Guss!!! He heals with Jedi Power. But no, we agent are stuck with the dried up Lokin. Still, he's better then nothing.
  19. I given it a try, and it is quite intresting. I took flash powder instead of slip away, and it does put up good numbers, and it kills. Of course, less good vs people who cleanse. Apart from some slight problem with setting up FT to a new keybind, it flows rather well.
  20. My sniper. Oh, and for the records, my slinger also look the same, just different gear. Think this one is the best of them though. Just don't tell Q-t, ok. She'll be broken. Uniform is not the cartel market one, got one as a drop somewhere. Beret is bought on the republic space station orbiting Makeb. (the reputation vendor).
  21. They have allowed the use of macros now? I know they "allow" them without delays and requiring a button hit pr skill, but how complex are your rotations?
  22. Kattla. It's been my main since launch. Ah yes, Q-t sprouted some fur too.
  23. Inspired by a thread of cross faction chat in the general section , but i'll post the full idea here. Personal holocommunicator , or holocom. You know, that little thing you hold in your hand, that will show a mini holo of the one you talk with. Also possible to "link" it to your ships holo projector for fullsize. Pretty much a chatbox with a star wars theme and feel to it. - White list based, as in only people you approve may be able to call you. Still, you can choose to whitelist a whole guild and legacy names tooinstead of individual people. You may allow it to accept incoming calls from unknown people as well, mostly just so you can add their names to your whitelist. That function should turn itself off after some time though, to avoid holonet beeing abused by "goldsellers". -Default is off , or the holocom device/unlock may be bought. Or "licenses" may be purchased. (not that i like it, but BW/EA probaly want a way to make profit on this too) - It is very likely to have fuzzy image if you use it in a crowded area, so you may look for a quiet spot if you want good communication (Anti-lag measure) . t could be fun, at least the first times, if you could get an "**interference** included in the text sent by the other player , making their text slightly garbled (if used in a crowded area). - It will not work in combat, and warzones are of course subject to communication jamming. So, it will not work in warzones. Some cooldown after a warzone may be a good idea, to avoid it beeing abused to badmouth someone you fought, or that pwned you. 2-4 minutes should be fine, i think. - I am unsure what way is best to input chat to it though. Chat bubbles on top of the holoview would be sweet, Just text in the normal chat window like /holo etc etc possibly easier to make. A popup chatwindow perhaps , with a live holo transmission of your friend, chatbox and options toggles could work. - Groups. It would be nice to have 16 ppl talking to 16 other ppl sure, but most likely very laggy. Perhaps if a link between two people was established , they could send an invite, and the first 3 to accept would be included in the holoview. - Of course, holonet are run by the hutt cartel, which is neutral, at least they was, so imperials may send holocalls to republicans and vice versa. But i am pretty sure the hutts don't offer their service for free. - Emotes will work, and voiced emotes. - Can be linked to the holo-projector in your ship for best performance and a bigger view of the one you talk with. - Depending on implementation (if any) , others may only see you holding a generic holo in your hand , or nothing at all. and yes, this idea or simular has most likely been posted a lot of times before.
  24. Holocommunicator. Or in more normal terms, chatbox. Default to off. Whitelist based - Only players or guilds you have approved may "call" you. But you may or may not allow calls from others too (to add them to your whitelist in the first place, some names are very hard to type). Does not work while in combat - same mechanism that they implemented with crew missions. Do not work in warzones either due to war communication jamming.
