  1. I'm in-between liking and hating gunships. I have good games and bad games like anyone else, but when you're facing a team full of gunship users its kind of ridiculous. Of course, you can argue I should just use the same tactics or be a better scout pilot, but no amount of skill in the world is going to prevent a gunship from popping you when there's a multitude of them gunning for you. The problem with gunships right now is that there's too many. I'd go as far as saying the match should limit the number of gunships allowed, but then that makes it potentially exclusive to noob or bad players on a first come first serve basis. So instead of standing by that notion, I'll say the mechanics of gunships need to change to make them require some measure of skill rather than being a campy-go-lucky player option.
  2. I've given up on it too. When I first started it was fun, but now its just boring and bland. Plus now that everyone has access to gunships, that's all I ever see people using and that gets boring fast. Games don't fill up either. I'm on The Bastion. The problem isn't queuing as a group or solo, its people losing interest.
  3. I'd like to see personally a clothes Kyle Katarn wear's in the cartel market. Sure, we're talking thousands of years in the future lore wise, but who is to say the Sullustian's that he purchased the clothing from weren't crafting their gear in such a manner for thousands of years.I do enjoy the CM armor that's for sale, but I'd also like to see later EU characters get their gear put in game, especially that of Ulec Qel-Droma and Exar Kun.
  4. Quoted for truth. I cancelled and have 49 days left on my account.
  5. Erickson better learn what the word priority means before he uses it. A lack of players at peak hours means a lack of individuals willing to play the game, which means most likely that individuals will see this lack of willingness as a lack of subscribers and follow suit and unsubscribe themselves. If mergers are not a priority, that means Bioware isn't taking this issue as seriously as the player base is, which means that unfortunately, this game isn't as important to them as they'd like us to believe.
  6. I agree, 400,000 is a lot. You're not alone.
  7. Just jumping into the pool without your floats on eh? People have been citing articles or quoting posters who have cited these articles on every page.
  8. This oughta be my signature.
  9. Considering those are the only people that are relevant to the thread, and people are quoting them... yeah I'd say those are the people you mean.
  10. So people posting links to articles that factually present the loss of 25% of the game's population in a period of less than four months is an assumption?
  11. You're right, its not a surprise. 400,000 is a shock. Especially considering the game's life span.
  12. Yeah, not only an official statement, but an official statement that makes the company look bad. So continue to be snarky and defend your point which is... what exactly?
  13. Firreal, right? Sky is also blue, fanboys gonna deny that too? SOMETIMES ITS ORANGE AND BLACK TOO PROLAPSE IS A LIAR.
  14. 400,000 lost, people. 400,000 lost. Kotaku and EA's explanation below. Now think about that for a minute before you continue to flame people for citing articles over the dramatic drop in subscribers. Article.
  15. K. 400,000 subscribers lost and EA says they were trial memberships. To be exact, people who played the first 30 days and did not resubscribe. That should be a pretty clear, indicative message to EA and Bioware that something wasn't right from the get go if you lost 400,000 "trial memberships" after people grinded to 50, geared up and stopped playing. To everyone who is holding their hands over their eyes and peeking out through their fingers... its time to accept the truth of the matter. This game is bad. Cited article for people who refuse to believe the truth: http://kotaku.com/5908338/star-wars-the-old-republic-loses-400000-subscribers
  16. I did a hard thing just now, I unsubscribed. My server population was too low to even queue a same faction pvp match. Character transfers are too far away to amend the situation before two highly sought after titles come out. For me, it is the dwindling server populations. I had fun while it lasted, too bad it didn't last very long.
  17. The real reason people don't vote is because they get nothing in return.
  18. You should report that to Kotaku or some other gaming site, they'd have a field day with that email.
  19. I will say that I did search and couldn't find anything pertaining to GUI, and I hope this is the correct forum to post these topics to. Either way, here's my GUI to start off the thread! http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/4897/screenshot2012042814010.jpg The top left hand is chat, it was just silent, the top right is for PVP mission tracker boards, Huttball is in the top center, focus underneath it. Then we have my quickbars 1 and 2, with 3 on the left and 4 on the right. Post yours now!
  20. I'm tempted to go back to a F2P mmo over TOR. That "mmo" is Global Agenda. Seriously, Bioware. You're pushing me back into the arms of Global Agenda.
  21. Let's talk about this. Today, I was queued into a late match. It was Alderaan Civil War, and my team was losing. Three turrets were red as opposed to any of them being green (being controlled by us). The hull integrity of our ship was 100, and my team was being slaughtered by the other team. Immediately I knew I'd get one or two medals before the ship gave way, and I'd get zero valor, zero commendations, zero experience (not that this matters at 50) and zero credits. I stayed, though. And I proceeded to gain one medal from with 3 kills and 1 death. I got nothing at the end of the match. Nothing. Why shouldn't I have just quit the match? Where is the incentive not to quit losing games? You (Bioware) haven't implemented a penalty for quitters, not that I'd blame them now for doing so since you've decided punishing the losing team is how PvP should be in YOUR game. That's right, your game. Not our game, as its been stated, "We're making the game that you want to play." So what's the deal? Are you (Bioware) going to continue this charade or are you going to put PvP back the way it should be? Late joining isn't the only problem either, earlier I played a winning match where I got 14 medals and only 68 commendations. I was SECOND PLACE on the roster, and I only got 68 commendations? This nerf was definitely not for anyone's benefit, and I can't for the life of me figure out WHY anyone in their right mind would even consider implementing these changes. It's simply unacceptable. And I'm by no means a casual PvPer. All I do in this game is PvP, and I don't care about getting my War Hero gear since ranked PvP wasn't even implemented making ranked armor unavailable to obtain. What's the point... you guys dropped the ball.
  22. So this is obviously a big enough problem that Bioware is going to implement preventative measures or penalties rather to punish those who leave warzones early. Why do people leave warzones to begin with? Is it because they don't like losing, or is it because they're tired of seeing their teams potential be wasted? Maybe they're just jerks, right? One reason, and the only reason I ever leave a warzone is when I see my team running around like stray ants all over the map. I never quit because we're 'just' losing; I quit because there's a severe lack of team coordination. I'd say 1 in 10 warzones I quit now because of this issue. Here's a list of things that are crucial to understanding how to participate in a warzone I feel. Feel free to disagree, correct any of my 'wrongs' or add your own to the list. Learn your role! Healers heal, tanks tank, dps do damage. Its crucial that you stick to your guns when you set foot into a warzone, don't deviate from what or who you are. Cooperate! Learn to be a team player, don't be a chaser, stick with the group and have a plan. Fight on point! Don't leave point to go chasing (see 2) opponents around the map, that's how points get captured. If it doesn't help, keep it to yourself. Nobody likes a naysayer in their warzone, we can all see with our own eyes what's happening before us. It doesn't help to be negative, calling out "baddies" or insulting your teammates. What else is important? What am I missing?
  23. I think if we saw more bannings for people being rude in-game I'd likely stay. I'm sensitive.
