  1. The rakata gear was better last patch when testing at Rishi SH. I saw some people saying they fixed that now and it normalizes to the thyrsian but I haven't tested for myself yet.
  2. You forgot the non existence of any competitive structure/system to incentivize players +1 lol’d at the day before reference
  3. It's not stretching it though. Whether you think it is good or not is subjective for sure, but it is a fact that prior to kotfe, the 8 player classes were still considered separate/unique entities. If you played a JK, you existed in the same universe as the other 7 player classes who were all alive and doing their thing contemporaneous to you. That stayed a thing until kotfe which is evidenced by the codex entries and the subsequent dialogue/companion alerts that the player classes which aren't you are presumed missing/dead. Again you can like or dislike that and there is valid argument on either side but they did in fact merge all of the previously-separate player classes into one entity with kotfe.
  4. Kotfe combined all of the player characters into one character, the "Outlander." This was a bad decision. Prior to that, even with the same overall narratives in ROTHC and SOR, there was still a distinct identity for each of the 4 player classes per faction.
  5. The PvP gameplay is great in this game, which is why we all care about it. The systems around it suck big time. Most of the problems it has now would be solved if they added a simple rating system and eliminated full group premades.
  6. I like the changes and think they look much improved compared to before idk
  7. Highly unlikely it was EA. There is almost no shot anyone who matters at EA is involved in the intricate details of the monetization structure in SWTOR. I doubt the EA overlords are emailing Broadsword saying "hey btw do not do 50% off collections." In fact I bet if EA were involved, they'd want the sale to happen because EA knows how to make money. Not doing this sale = less money and pissed off players who won't spend. Just look at this forum and R/swtor in the 3 hours since this got announced. There is more activity from players than there was when the patch launched last week, all of which is negative and unequivocally stating they won't be spending money on CC this year due to this decision. Yup, they lost the room on this one. Total incompetence by the team making this decision.
  8. Lol so true I always put down the legacy summonable one whenever I'm there and it's annoying. There's plenty of room in DK/Coruscant where the guild bank and cargo holds are too. There is precedent for this also because at some point they added legacy banks to nar shadaa promenade.
  9. Yeah I mean, I literally said that in my post. Credit seller can defeat the lack of seller name and they can defeat the lowest price item EXTREMELY easily. Just sell an obscure item nobody has listed and gg. I don't know why you continue to make this argument when it's been addressed repeatedly. The only thing you have a point about is that it addresses issues with scammers charging billions for an item and someone mistakenly buying it. I really don't think it's worth taking away player autonomy and allowing/encouraging this stupid 1 credit undercutting stuff to protect against people who should read more clearly on the GTN. Especially players with that many credits who are all veterans.
  10. The gear is not the problem with PvP at all. Gearing in this game is extremely easy. And PvE gear maxed out is = to PvP gear and even was better than PvP gear in 7.1 and 7.2 (not sure if still this way).
  11. Lol yeah too many clowns who stand there stealthed in the enemy EZ the whole time while their team is getting sloshed 6-0. 9 could be good for dealing with that.
  12. I think you are overstating how much of the AFK/lack of effort problem in PvP is from people who want to get Pierce and 4x. That's a tiny sliver of it, and I'm pretty confident that if they changed those companion alerts to something else the needle would hardly move on this issue. Most of the problem is the PvP seasons and the weeklies awarding too much credit for losses and not having enough incentive to win. Like all of the issues in PvP atm.
  13. It isn't though. The easiest solution to that is the seller names being removed. Which, as you have correctly pointed out, can be defeated by the credit sellers having the buyer list a very specific item price. But then that goes to my previous point: the lowest possible price solution solves nothing because the credit sellers simply just tell the buyer to list an obscure item that is not for sale on the GTN. They can list the price for whatever they want because nobody else is buying it. Again, I actually like the GTN changes except for this one thing. I don't agree with removing player autonomy for zero tangible benefit whatsoever. The SWTOR revamped GTN is effectively a carbon copy of WoW's AH revamp from 3 years ago minus requiring players to purchase the cheapest items. It works completely fine in WoW and players are very happy with it because they have the autonomy to do what people here are asking for and select the price they want to pay for an item. I mean, you are in here belittling these guys and acting as the arbiter of whose opinions should and should not be ignored. If that isn't feeling superior and judging I'm not sure what is.
