  1. Those relics and adrenals are still RNG based. The adernal that gives absorb won't do ****(since the chance to shield/dodge is the same), the rakata adrenal gives armour which is good but I'm not sure if it's enough to survive terminate. As a Shadow/Assasin you usually can't pop everything at once since it's so imporant to cycle your cooldowns. If you pop all your cds for one grenade what are you gonna do if you need one later during the fight or for the next grenade? There has also been several reports about grenade behaving strangly when it comes to defense and that deflection and similair does nothing or very little to it. And for NiM force shroud doesn't work.
  2. Let me guess saber reflect works on it? The "chaos" of a number generator isn't chaos at all, infact isn't not even close to it. As Kitru mentioned before it's unsure if real chaos and therefore true random numbers exist. Most random generators work by inserting numbers(the seed) into a function that converts the numbers into a given range. The functions are made in such a away that the number appear random and that they will pass the appropiate statisical test for the chosen distrubition. The seed used in computers are usually the millisecond of the time and when you want more control the seed can be chosen by the user. Given the same seed the exact same random numbers will be generated. The range these functions usually give is 0 to 1 since it can be shown that given a set of these numbers you can generate the other distrbutions like normal and such. Most(all i think, are there any exceptions?) distributions in swtor are binomial(aka a series of events X1,X2,X3,...XN either they happen or they don't happen) or uniform(like the dmg range for instance). The math discussed here about the probability of a spike is bionomial if we don't consider the dmg ranges. TLDR: The numbers from random number generators are chosen so they pass statistical tests, not because they are truly random.
  3. Have you thought maybe why people won't listen? Most people are pretty tired of seeing posts like yours. You claim you rather heal a guardian than a shadow but you dont provide any arguments or evidence to support your claim. If you want to post in a serious thread you need to support your on claims or people will ignore you. So don't post claims without atleast trying to argue and provide evidence for it. However avoid anecdotes if possible, they are pretty bad evidence So far I have only rarely seen any kind of arguments or evidence against the spikiness and related problem(the only ones that come to mind are from thok-zeus), but losts of arguments for it and why it's better to bring a guardian instead of shadow in most cases.
  4. One thing I haven't seen mentioned about phase walk is its horrible animation. It's floating a bit over the ground so it hides most aoe circles under it. This means that you have to be very careful in fights with any kind of aoe markers, especially the ones with random aoe(like titan 6 airstrike). Does anyone know if it hides the green aoes on DG?
  5. Can't find it now but there was a log about a week ago from nim writhing horror that did 40k dmg in about 1.2-1.4 sec.
  6. Can't find it, could you post a link?
  7. Umm, their are a lot more dots than that which can overlap. Just from the top of my head there is: -Discharge(madness assasin, darkness assasin) -Wither(darkness assain, you want to use it on all cds anyway though) -Creeping terror(madness asssasin and sorc) -Crushing darkness(madness assains and sorc, only about a seconds overlap possible though) -Rupture(anni maurder) And thats only 3 acs. The ones with the biggest problem is creeping terror, discharge and similair which have much longer duration than cd. For some as you say(like rupture) it isn't that big problem since their is a "clock" in the rotation itself.
  8. Whats the overheal numbers? Isn't the increased healing on the sin indircetly caused by the spikiness since it means that the sins need to be at top health a lot more than the jugger. And that it turn means more wasted heals. Higher mean migation doesn't automatically turn in to less healing needed in reality.
  9. Seems like I got a bug on one of my chars that is related to the stuck camera problem with some companions with certain gloves. I can zoom in the camera but nothing happens when I try to zoom out. The camera distance setting is at 100%, setting it to something else doesn't fix it. Neither does relogging or restarting the game. When I login to the char the camera is at about 10% distance. The only companion the char has is Vette, but without gloves and the only things equiped is one of the sets you get when you arrive at the fleet(the slicing one I think). This has only happend on one of my chars and has been like this for maybe a week, but its on a char I don't play so much so it isn't that serious. But some help to be able to zoom out the camera would be nice. Ingame bug report id is 9713138.
  10. Yeah why bring an assains dps at all? Pvp deception got some burst but neither madness or deception actually brings anything for pve that isn't better to replaced with somethign else. There is only stealth res and force shroud which is nice but no the reason to bring a class. And force shroud isn't super useful either anymore. The taunt is meh for offtank since it costs 100 force to switch stance and we have light armour. Except for them there is no utility that an assasin dps brings and since their dps usually is sup-par with no aoe there is even less reason to bring one. All other dps classes bring something that is more useful, has morea aoe and does more dmg(possibly with the exception of powertech and operative dps).
  11. It might be biased a bit though since there are so few assain dps nowdays. It's rare to seem more than one sin dps in every third or so op while their usually are 2+ maurders.
  12. I think Ashara mostly suffers from bad writing. She is one of the more interesting characathers because she is grey, she wants to improve the universe but doesn't mind killing some people to do it. She also strongly disaggre with the jedi code. But the thing is that she seems kinda schizofrenic and with mental problems because she says so much weird stuff from time to time. If she would just stop calling herself jedi and admit working with a sith lord and having a decent reason for doing so she would seem much more reasonable. It always annoys me when she jumps around screaming that she is a jedi while running her red saber through the chest of some poor jedi.
  13. Im having problems with my Sith juggernaut with the camera getting stuck. Only companion is vette with standard outfit.
  14. 3 affects pretty much everyone and is a way to pronlong the time until you get BIS. Im guessings its intedned by BW. Rember how fast it to took to get BIS with Rakata?
  15. That actually seems better, useful for more stuff than just knockbacks. So standing by the node for about 20 secs would reduce the cd to 0.
  16. They should atleast split it into two abiltiies as you say. There could be some pretty interesting mechanics with it and with short enough cd on the teleport(but stil 45 on node placement) it could be used to increase uptime on boses with knockback(like dash'rode) and in pvp. Possibly a talent that resets the teleports cd on knockback with a ratelimit of 20 secs or inherinit with the ability.
  17. What about knockback immunity for a few seconds as a 2-3 min cd? Unique utility that fits with PT/VG being stable and allows you to cheese some mechanics or just avoid some annoying knockbacks. Useful in both PvE and PvP.
  18. Its fine that deception isn't that good for pve but since madness isn't so good either there is a problem. 6% more dmg under 30% doesn't cut it. If you are 10% lower(which seems to be the case on dummys) you need 23% dmg increase for the last 30% to go even on total dmg.
  19. Maybe give VG/PTs an cd that makes the immune to knockbacks for 3-5 seconds? Unique utilty skill that fits with the whole being stable thing.
  20. One place this is easy to notice is toboros courtyard when you want to move around the isotope-5 containers. It seems to work about 50/50 on them. They don't get push nor take dmg sometimes.
  21. Hard to miss since it previews fine. Most would notice it if no color was applied when previewed. Has to be a pretty easy fix to, just make so they show the originial no matter the dye.
  22. A few spontanoues ideas, either of these might be interesting: 1) All self-healing gets turned into heals that trigger directly after taking an unshielded/unddoged hit. 2) All self-healing overheals and a percentage of the all other overheals gets turned into heals similar to 1). Possbile variation is that they increase max hp and heals the same amount, so if you have 100 hp of 120, gets 10 buff from overheal you have 110 hp and 130 max. 3) Remove selfheal from dark charge and add an effect to it that makes percentage of the dmg from unshieled/undogged attacks gets a applied as dots instead. They should be uncleansable except maybe for force shroud. Personally I think I like number 2 best. Its a interesting way to change the overheals that assain needs into something useful and could also create some interesting tactics depending on how long the buffs last. For instance you could start to overheal the sin if you know that the enrage is starting soon or before terminate etc.
