I will definitely say, they would make a hell of a lot more money off me if I could buy these dyes and reuse them. Because I am buying 0 right now, but would buy one of every single new dye if I could reuse them (like, remove from an item and reuse OR add to collections). Hell, if they made them reusable I would pay MORE than 1750. But I will never pay that price for a single use item. The time gating is also ludicrous, they old black/blacks and stuff are in the store permanently, these should be too.

So, I'm an idiot, and I fixed it. I was gonna delete this but I'm gonna leave this post open in case anyone else has this issue in future and this ends up being their solution. 😅 I unplugged and re-plugged the HDMI cable into the monitor, and suddenly it worked. I couldn't begin to guess why this fixed it (since the aspect ratio for everything else on my PC had been fine?), but it did. 😅 I tried turning everything off and back on, but in my frustration I forgot to try the second rule of IT: have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in? Let this be a lesson: try the simple hardware solution, folks. Be smarter than me 😂

I have nvidia and I have gone into nvidia control panel and double checked that it is set to 3840x2160, and it is. (that is the max it can go, there are no higher resolutions or larger sizes available, only my monitor technically has a larger possible ratio, which was the problem I had previously and fixed).

Starting today with NO changes to my game settings, PC, or monitor, the visuals in the game are now vertically smooshed (or, horizontally stretched?). The characters are the most noticeable, but I literally got a tape measure out and checked the measurements on square icons and they were not perfectly square like they should be. I have had this issue in the past due to my monitor having a bigger possible ratio than 2160x3840 (which is what I run it at, and run the game at), but the solution I used to fix that (editing the client_settings file to reflect 2160x3840 then making that file read only) is still in place. I even tried making that file not read only, loading and closing the game, restarting computer, and then going back into the file and it still showed the correct aspect ratios, I re-saved the file and made it read only again, still the same issue after many game and PC restarts. I double-checked in game graphics settings as well and all were normal, checked my monitor settings, everything is normal (and everything outside the game looks fine anyway). Does anyone know another cause/solution for vertical smooshing? Everything I've found online is for that same issue I had previously (sometimes with slightly different fixes). Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, this is incredibly frustrating. 😣 Here is a side by side of the issue. On the left, today. YAY!!!!! I just have one futher question: is Snowtacular flair missing from the list of sales a mistake or are we really not getting it?? I joined in feb and have been waiting basically all year for the life day event to get that flair, very sadge if it is not available.

+10000000000000 supported A friend and I literally had this exact same idea the other day for the exact same reason (the expensive dyes). Personally I would love them to just make sets bind to legacy upon account-wide unlock, but as you say they can always use more ways to make money, and frankly there are sets I WOULD gladly pay extra to make bind to legacy if it meant I could dye and share them across my many characters. I would 100% pay for the legacy unlocks AND 100% guaranteed buy those expensive new dyes knowing I could use the outfit over and over, so, while I can't speak for anyone else, I can definitely promise the devs a profit off of me if they made this change 😂

dying to have something like this. for all my mains, half my inventory is full with alt outfits for just my one main comp on each character, and I have to manually equip every single piece every time I want to change their outfit. both these things are a serious chore (not to mention a space hog). enough so that I can't usually make alt outfits for more than one or two comps on a character at most, whereas if I could have saved outfits to quickly switch between (even a much more limited number of slots compared to my own character) I would totally make multiple outfits for loads of companions. space barbie is endgame, let us maximize our space barbie!!!

+10000000 supported. the black and reds in particular look *fantastic* and having the option to buy a "half" dye at a far lower cost would make them feel less of a money pit to use (which would certainly encourage ME to use them more, dunno about anyone else), and give more use options in general.

+1 absolutely love the idea of some kind of, like, legacy achievement you get for completing class story or something which allows you to unlock the ability to do this. I too always change Corso. and also T7 and Aric. I don't change anyone else but I always change them, and since I record my playthroughs it would be really nice to have them look consistent and not suddenly change after the starter planet! and omg yes seconded this also, please let us have and use Theron's customization on subsequent playthroughs. (I have suggested before to just have Theron and Nadia's story-locked customizations be bound to legacy or a collections unlock after meeting them in the story again once, and I stand by it!)

I will say, vehemently oppose the idea of making 0 creds transferrable to SV. I created characters on SV and have basically not played on them at all since the first couple days because being broke af makes the game a total slog and I'd rather just keep playing on the servers where I can afford basic unlocks like outfit slots, inventory space, and legacy unlocks. And the credit economy on that server is so low that to earn creds the old fashioned way is an even bigger slog than playing the game with no unlocks... I'd rather play the story, not spend all my time grinding for pennies just so I can enjoy playing the game with my characters in nice looking outfits. So yeah, I am literally just on hold on that server until character transfers open so that I can move creds over there and actually have as much fun playing there as I do on servers where I can afford things. That said, limiting transferred funds to 10-20mil or something I support, but please please please devs do not make it 0. That would just suck big time IMHO.

1000% completely agreed, would love to make the dailies for planets like Ruhnuk, Manaan, etc be level gated instead of story gated. I love playing the story in the game (it's my favorite part of the game), but I also have many characters that I have not played through the story but have leveled through other content (FPs and such) and would love to be able to play other content on them. I don't have a ton of characters, but I have about 25 of them (not including identical clones of characters), 11 of those are level 80, and out of those only *2* have made it all the way through the entire story and can play dailies on every single planet in the game. This seriously limits my options. Even more so (and I know this is strictly a me problem but still relevant) I am limited because both those characters are republic, I do not like imp side story post-Nathema and have never once managed to make it all the way through so I can play those dailies on imperial side literally never (which limits my play with friends who main on imps).

especially so when you only want a headband with certain outfits and not all of them. would love for this to happen

Suddenly getting this error when I try to go into any server except Tulak Hord (that one is working somehow?). Restarted the entire game and still getting the error. Never had this before. Anyone know a solution?

As someone who has a stealth combat ability on every single character (many as main ability, some as alts), I would not mind adding MORE new combat styles and having some be new stealth ones, but I do not want stealth on every single combat ability as that would not only be too OP but kind of nonsensical. The stealth combat styles that exist now are built around stealth, there are loads of abilities connected specifically to stealth (stunning enemies, attacks that only work from stealth, etc) or which go well with stealth (darting to enemies without breaking stealth, melee abilities because you can get up close without being seen and then attack, etc). To randomly add stealth to other combat styles, while certainly useful af (I mean, I love stealth for a reason), would just not make any sense and would just be too OP. On a side note, to respond to a comment I have seen several times in here: at least 90% of the time (the other 10% being like super basic level 10 mobs or whatever, or cases where enemies will just pull you out of stealth anyway), hard disagree on it being faster to kill enemy mobs than to stealth past them. Having run the full story as a stealther and not a stealther and having run the same vet FPs a kajillion times with both stealthers to stun enemies so we can run past and not having those stealthers, in my experience the runs where you can stealth past are always faster. always. every single time. With the right set of DPS abilities it can certainly make clearing mobs faster than other times you have to kill them (and I mean, killing stuff can be more fun sometimes), but never faster than stealthing.
