  1. Let's contrast the SDCE with WoW's 10th anniversary edition: It features a special level 100 version of Molten Core (raid, easily completable) , Tarren Mill vs Southshore (EARLY WoW PvP before BG's (Battlegrounds were introduced), and several mounts, pets, and titles to collect. Get the adorable Molten Corgi just for logging on! (I think EA has done this in conjunction with other patc - er "expansions") Tarren Mill vs Southshore is a special battleground for the duration of WoW's 10th Anniversary. It is for 40vs40 players and there are two brackets: 90-99 and 100. Players can get the titles <Name>, Southshore Slayer or <Name>, Tarren Mill Terror for winning. Molten Core is a 40 player LFR that requires players to be 100. It is available for the duration of WoW's 10th Anniversary. The ilvl requirement is 615--learn how to get your ilvl up with our heroic dungeon and Molten Core gearing guide. Players that defeat Ragnaros (End Boss, lots of fun) (must clear the rest of level 100 Molten Core first) receive Core Hound Chain for Boldly, You Sought the Power of Ragnaros and an ilvl 640 fiery helm. There is a chance for Hatespark the Tiny or Illusion: Flames of Ragnaros (Pets who actually stay out, and don't need to be continually resummoned) to be rewarded as well. OR As so eloquently posted above, I could pay ANOTHER $40 for a cosmetic item bundle.
  2. Covid, holidays, budget, small, indie development company, focus on fixing bugs, updating the UI...
  3. Final Fantasy XIV allows Addons ESO allows Addons Lotro allows Addons GW2 allows Addons ********** The above took me 2 minutes. (Multitasking)
  4. SI (F): SW (M): Vette vs Jaesa is the old Gilligan's Island conundrum (Mary Ann vs Ginger) Do you go for the girl next door or the movie star? IA: Never really explored these. BH (M): Mako or....Mako? Not a real big menu there EA. BH (F): Torian is the obvious choice. Gault would be interesting just to see what he gives me in courtship.
  5. I admire your optimism. However, after 10 years, this game is languishing, and being kept alive by the CM. MMORPGs are generally not the gaming poster child equivalent of "late bloomers".
  6. Really? You get unique titles, decos, and mounts from doing FPs? Because I've run plenty of FPS at all levels, and not once has a statue of DM Styrak dropped. Oh wait, HM / NiM. ************ The core issue here is two-fold. One, you want your way of playing and ONLY your way of playing to reward "the best" items. Why? Well, and this is the second half, apparently you are very concerned with what other people have in a video game, who, in your mind, "didn't earn it". Or "earned said goodies the wrong way". (ie not YOUR way) Put BIS gear / mods / shells, et al., behind crafting. There. Now every player can get the best look / stats etc. Still doesn't solve the second half of your conundrum, but you can't save everyone.
  7. (1) Oh, "fair" has nothing to do with this entire sordid, "expansion". For example -person who generates 50k CQ receives the same reward as a person who generates 10x that amount. (2) So the items I mentioned weren't enough? Now you ALSO want unique gear shells? Sheesh. Furthermore, not only do you want said {GOODIES}, you want ONLY YOUR way of playing to reward these {GOODIES} If it's the "hardest" content, then ranked PvP should reward the best {GOODIES} above and beyond titles. If it's "time invested", then the answer is crafting. But noooo. EA is sticking to an outdated and antiquated notion that raiders and ONLY raiders (and a very small subset at that) should receive "the best".
  8. Hey, EA's in good company. Just look at WoW's sub count as they added more and more "systems", and catered more and more to the end-game raiders. Oh wait...
  9. We should bookmark this thread and revisit it in a month or two.
  10. Or 'Cancel Culture'. When sarcasm is deliberately translated as "they said mean things (or something with which I don't agree) about me! They must be purged, PURGED I say !" Darwin is always in effect. Sometimes CC eats its own. Schadenfreude.
  11. Covid, limited staff, limited budget, small, indie development company.
  12. The chucklehead on DK who insults the winner of the Great Hunt (more than once iirc), then, AFTER I TOLD HIM, "When I'm done with the 'Monster in the Cave' (That none of you clowns can handle apparently), if you're here when I get back - you're next" sticks around? Yeah, I feel like Braan in GoT. "You don't fight with honor, winner of the Great Hunt" "Nope - but he did"
  13. Best: My main is a Sith Inq. I enjoyed the first three chapters immensely. Thanaton is SUCH an insufferable a55. Very well written. However, the one plot point that made push away from my desk and walk around the house was the Agent "choice" with Jadus. Very rarely, even in this game, has a single option given me pause. Worst: There is an Imp quest on Tatooine where some chucklehead wants you to capture a "force sensitive" Jawa. First off, he's an Imp offering me a quest. I don't take orders from you. Second, because of Blizz, I have a soft spot for Jawas. I felt REALLY scummy capturing the Jawa (Who truthfully wasn't using the Force, I viewed him as more of a SHaman)
  14. Guild perks existed before 7.0. So are we getting NEW guild perks? Otherwise, how does a future "expansion" interfere with existing code? Is this a "Y2K" situation?
  15. "Do you hear that EA? That is the sound of inevitability"
  16. My 'hasn't logged on for two YEARS friends list' concurs with this statement.
  17. Get an external HDD? Clear up some space on your computer?
  18. This has happened to me three (3) times now over the span of a month. Character has been in guild for more than two weeks, earns over 50K conquest, log in on Tuesday - no reward. Today? Logged in on a toon that is in a CQ guild. Think we earned over 150m CQ last week. Toon in question? 97k. Reward? None. The first time this happened, I put in a ticket with CS. They responded with a scripted reply (Essentially "you'll get nothing and like it"), and closed the ticket.
  19. Um, I'd like to play 7.0 before Pantheon releases, thank very much good sir or ma'am.
  20. I'm not sure linking the Dev tracker as prima facie evidence of their "communication" is the way to go.
  21. Which leads to the inevitable downward spiral towards mediocrity and oblivion EA-EXEC: "Cartel market is going gangbusters, let's invest that money in other projects" EA-EXEC#2: "We have this new project coming up! Anthem! It'll be great!" EA=EXEC: "Make it happen number 2!" Few Remaning SWTOR Devs: "Umm, what about our game?" Anthem: BOMBS SWTOR: Withers on a vine due to no return on (CM) investment. EA-EXEC: "Huh, SWTOR isn't doing so well it seems, divert funds number 2!" #2 - "To SWTOR sir?" EA-EXEC: "Don't be silly number 2, that game is dying. We have other projects in the pipeline."
