  1. Very basic, why not have a sith mission that all sith can do anything after level 25? Offered on the fleet, but it makes you go back to Korriban and get told to: Kill a jedi, take their color crystal, and make it bleed. Vader did this mission in a comic once instructed to do so by sidius and it was so cool. It's just a basic mission, but hey all sith can do it. Just find that jedi to kill, come back to korriban and do the hateful channeling thing! This is how the sith earned their red color crystals, they weren't red to begun with! Reward: some xp and your own red weapon color crystal. (Possibly even a artifice red weapon crystal recipe to match.) Nothing massive, but worth it to see your character change a jedi color crystal into a red one. FLIPSIDE: The jedi could do the reverse to a red color crystal. Kill a sith, take the red color crystal and "heal" it.. so it becomes a white crystal! (Possibly even a artifice white weapon crystal recipe to match. Yes, like Ashoka.) The jedi version is probably much higher level maybe 40-45, and back on Tython.
  2. God I wish general chat has a couple areas to go to. RECRUITMENT CHAT TRADING CHAT etc.. just those 2 would save an assload of spam. Plus people go there if they want to hear it.
  3. +1 It would speed things up considerably, hell even if you could hand 1, 5, 10, 25 of the same one at a time! It does consume server lag to hand these items to your companion 1 at a time. So it is also beneficial to the game servers itself. People would still buy the big ones off the cartel market for the fastest level 50 boost!
  4. +1. Sounds awesome. "Voicebox Mod" could by cybertech craftable, for it's small size. To be fair, only helmets/headgear that cover the mouth or face would work though. So yes to some, no to others. But this would be cool if your character's voice could be changed to something... more... vader?
  5. True, if we could post items on auction for up to 3 weeks we wouldn't even NEED a repost button. I just have them all listed here as a total collection of options. But I listed the longer auction durations as #1 for a reason. Reposting is #2... if the longer duration never gets implimented. 3500 credits for +5 marketplace slots per character seems fair, but no higher in my opinion. This isn't buying an armor set or some other cosmetic after all.. just more slots! What you are selling, that's up to whatever you can get or craft at your level.
  6. What do you propose I do for the purposes of changes to this existing thread? I'm open to suggestion. To be honest being able to post an auction for longer, sure that will make it easier to undercut prices. But hey, why keep posting the same thing every 3 days.. it's not very fun to be honest. Too much work when I could be having fun... I really want to post items for longer even if I do get undercut from time to time, so what? Maybe not lag, but it does cost a certain amount of server resources to keep track of it all.
  7. Just some ideas from my end about the existing GTN system, hopefully to benefit this game! GTN TWEAKS 1. Longer auction post duration! Instead of 3 days maximum what about up to 3 weeks? (21 days) This would cut down on server load for all that mail every 3 days, and us reposting the same stuff over and over on the market. But more than anything.. it would be a hell of a lot more fun! Subscriber 21 day maximum Preferred 14 day maximum Free 2 Play 7 day maximum (This system also adds to giving players a reason to be a subscriber even if for 1 month, or buy some credits, even once to support this game!) 2. Mailbox option - Repost auction "button" at same price (If the longer post item duration is not implimented...) Repost at same price works exactly like it sounds. You click on the "repost" button on this piece of mail to repost it again for that same price, for that same duration again! Instead of removing/collecting this item from mail you just repost that item(s) again on the GTN for the same price & duration you did before! This would save an assload of mail/lag time.. you just repost it again. Your mailbox, in essence is an extension of the GTN box. This could be super handy if you are on another world, and not on the station. Something to consider, for the sheer convenience it would provide! 3. Buy more GTN auction slots Currently your maxium GTN auction slots are determined by if you are a subcriber or not. Which absolutely makes sense! But I propose all players regardless of subscriber or not should be able to buy MORE marketplace slots for their entire legacy: Credits You spend X credits, and unlock +5 marketplace slots for your entire legacy. Something reasonable like 3500 credits gets you +5 marketplace slots per character! Legacy Unlocks Possibly some of the items listed under legacy could grant you some more marketplace slots for that character. Not too much but maybe +1/+2/+3 per item listed. These bonus slots are only for that 1 character, not the entire legacy... unless you buy that item as an unlock for that entire legacy! 4. Allow some bound items to become auctionable! (That are currently bound/not for resale or untransferable) The items I would love to see available on auction could be: 1. Jawa Scraps (all 3 types under crafting materials somewhere) A very useful item in the current game mechanic! But also, tons of players collect them, but wish they could just sell them off or trade them for something else. Which is what a market is good for! 2. Reinforcement Components Combining 10 of these into 1 item is awesome... but you have dozens if not hundreds of these things sitting on your various alts. Even if they were not soulbound, but bound to legacy so you could toss all of them into your legacy bank... that would be a massive help towards progress and use of this item! Plus if you don't need or even want them... sell them on GTN! 3. Currency Items Being able to trade out some of your inventory "currency" items would be awesome. But only if it works within a "currecy" system, rather than commendations you have earned. Some that might be permitted for trade: Cartel Market Certificate, Tech Fragments, Rackghoul DNA Cannister.
  8. I'd be happy to see a new Zakuul stronghold, why not? But existing strongholds could use more nodes and expansion areas to add to. It makes all the programming spent so far more worth it.
  9. Yeah, makes a lot of sense. But I'd prefer it as a menu setting.. so we can choose to have fog of war exploration on/off. Some characters you may not remember where they have and have not been. So it could be handy to get back in the swing of where you left off with them.
  10. It would be awesome to be able to hand your companions more than 1 gift at a time! Maybe some of the legacy unlocks could allow this as a bonus benefit? But if you could set it up that each click you use up 5,10,25 items per click instead of one.. if allowed to do so. Maybe control+click you gift the maximum stacks allowed at a time? Bribing/paying people off shouldn't have to take as long as it does. The emperor didn't have to spend much time bribing vader, he just gave him a planet of his choice, done deal. (Mustafar , by the way.) This unlock allows you to now hand companions 5 gifts at a time. Requires level 40+? This higher level unlock now you can hand them 10 gifts at a time. Requires level 50+? This really high unlock now 25 gifts at a time, maybe it requires level 65+? (These unlocks could be added to existing legacy unlocks, like companion gift related.. and even the XP buffs for different kinds of mission types!) Plus maybe a stronghold decoration allows you to do this as well, but this decoration has to be installed at at least 1 stronghold for all your legacy character to benefit: Some examples ~ Dejarik Table ~ Galactic Banking Kiosk or banking clan personnel ~ Cantina, bartenders, waitresses, etc. ~ A republic or imperial NPC representative that is a commander of at least captain/colonel rank or higher. ~ Republic or imperial medals case/stand containing your accomplishments and recognitions. So between the legacy unlocks and stronghold decorations you'd have more than 1 way to allow for a faster stack of companion gits to be given out FOR characters that meet those requirements! The only reason this is needed is just so you can dump off an assload of companion gifts more quickly. It cuts down on lag, which would be awesome as well. Plus the old, cheap origional gifts are still relevant and worth using. You aren't going to just blow past to level 50 loyalty, but it would be awesome to do it faster if you have earned the unlocks or paid for it! Plus we collect tons of companion gifts and keep them in our legacy storage, being able to use them up faster if we want adds to player satisfaction! If it cuts down on the server load, for your own system it would definately be worth the programming costs.
  11. +1, I agree 100%. Every dye you unlock even once should be unlockable for all of your characters. Then you could just reprint/remake them anytime you wish. This would boost sales significantly, and help crafters out a LOT. You buy it once.. and you're set after that.. done! Especially with the massive selection of outfits, companions and armors in this game it would simplify things significantly.
  12. NPC = Non player character, like merchants and mission givers and all the other people in the game controlled by the computer/server. I'd love to see more profession missions available if possible in this game. We have to earn/find it of course but still there are fun ways to add some more. Mainly because investigation & diplomacy are so easy to find... but underworld & slicing are much less common! So this is a balancing thing for me.. more underworld & slicing missions & goods if you are active! NPC MERCHANTS - ADD SOME PROFESSION MISSIONS FOR SALE! We have a ton of existing NPC merchants thet exist throughout the game many of which sell nothing really relevant.. or important. (Like a handful of armor items or basic weaponry.) BUT Since they are already programmed into the game, no reason not to use them.. add on to their selection! NPC NODE These characters can be seen on your map as a "node" like a gathering node for scavenging, bioanalysis or archaeology, slicing. That way you won't miss what they are seliing! This would be a fun discovery for players because you'll see something is there for you have no idea what it is click on the merchant and scroll down and see they are selling something. 1. You cannot SEE the node unless you have the matching profession: slicing, underworld, investigation, diplomacy. 2. You cannot BUY the profession mission if you cannot see it. It doesn't exist and the merchant will not offer it for sale if you aren't on the inside/have the needed profession. (Ex. fence for underworld.) 3. This adds a little definition/intirgue to existing characters in the game. Is this soldier selling underworld goods on the side? Does this droid that sells healing medpacks have a diplomacy/doctor contact? Is this person a slicer? NPC GOODS Some of these merchants don't sell profession missions.. they just sell the goods themselves. Maybe a guy sells underworld metal, or investigation metal.. maybe some sith sells underworld fabrics? Maybe a farmer/hunter sells some diplomacy goods from plants/animals they have scavenged? No reason not to buy some of this stuff if you can use it! 1. NPC goods follow the same rules as NPC nodes! For example a guy selling underworld goods does not offer them to "goody goody" characters that aren't into that underworld scene. Or a scientist doesn't offer investigation goods to some lummox who doesn't understand hi tech materials! NODES & GOODS REPLENISH WITH TIME 1. As time goes by BOTH the nodes and goods replenish, so you can buy them again if you happen to be in this area again! For example every 45 minutes, or 60 minutes. So you cannot buy these items infinitely, you only get to buy 1 or a few copies of that item and then it is OUT and you have to wait to rebuy it. 2. This adds some excitement & fun to the existing planets & planetary missions! Doing these missions again with a new character is not so boring if you get to buy some more stuff you didn't have access to the first time around. 3. This purchace limitation happens PER CHARACTER then it times down. So like 50 players in the same area can keep buying the same items, you don't miss out if someone else beats you to it. This is your item sale! Plus if you log in with another character, it's an entirely new timer.. go for it! STONGHOLD NPC MERCHANTS Stronghold merchants can also work the exact same way! But you can have new ones that offer goods & missions in the same way as the other NPC's but much much better. But they follow the same stronghold cooldown, shared between all of your characters. So when they are depleted, you have to wait and come back later! PROFESSION TYPES/NAMES Just for reasons of comparasin these are the types of people/droids/merchants that offer these sort of missions & goods. UNDERWORLD Fence, low-life, criminal, scummy stim merchant, spice dealer, hutt contact/hutt merchant, prisoner, fine silks merchant, some decorations merchants! A lot of cantina bartenders and waitresses/droids have some hussle business on the side. Some dark side merchants, and many jawas. Slavers & handlers of bounty hunters. Some PVP/Pit Fighter merchants will offer some underworld missions! SLICING Slicers, hackers, techies, some communications/tech soldiers both republic & empire! Some criminals, some hutt/gang soldiers, some droids like R2-D2! Some exiles & people on the run, a lot, some pilots. Many spies: republic SIS and imperial agents, and spy droids of course. Jawas! Many theives and low lives. INVESTIGATION Scientists, researchers, some droids, some doctors, many officers/soldiers, merchants that sell weapons or armor, jawas, gree, wookies, many high-tech or advanced species. High tech species that might not yet be known to the core worlds. Collectors & even some diplomats, pilots, some bounty hunters & madaloreans. Many spies, soldiers and sith/jedi wanting to make sure the enemy does not get the advantage with new materials and weaponry! Some arms dealers, and merchants that offfer high end armors, shields and other gear! DIPLOMACY Medical droids, doctors, scientists, diplomats, jedi consulars, anyone who sells medpacks, some stim merchants, light side merchants, mon calmari/aquatic species, many biotech trainers. A pretty broad variety of people involved in medicine, biology and exotic biosciences. Even some dark side merchants who delve into the... unnatural. Ways to cheat death! Many twi-lek, wookies and other species that get enslaved a lot have tons of diplomacy missions just waiting to get bought. Plus species that are desperate like the Evocaii and others that need help, donations or protection from the sith empire or the hutts! A lot of republic, sith and unaligned intrigue. Even the Voss and hutts have some diplomacy missions. Cloning missions can be possible, but those would be at least level 9 and most likely dark side! Some of the good guy cantina bartenders/waitresses will point you towards a diplomacy mission. Mainly because they know so many people. STRONGHOLD MERCHANT IDEAS & EXAMPLES There could be fleet merchants like this as well, within reason offering some things. Class trainers, profession trainers, and PVP merchants as well as healing droids and the like. Plus the cartel bazaar could be useful for this as well! Becho Wychiee Rodian Hutt Cartel merchant Becho is a total piece of crap that offers a broad variety of stolen/questionable goods. Becho offers: Underworld missions & underworld metals & fabrics. Usually rank 7 or lower. Some diplomacy missions: always darkside usually involving slavery, hutts and theft. What he offers tends to be based on your underworld profession rank, he tries to keep up with you! Sometimes he offers slicing missions! Sometimes he offers diplomacy missions but they are always dark side! He will occasionally offer pets, usually animals that hutts love to feed victims to down the road! He occasionally sells rare/uncommon speeders that are definately stolen. If you have done at least 5 hutt/cartel missions on any worlds he will lower his prices for you. Seeing you as an ally and one of them. Also if you are at least Dark 3 he will offer the same discount. "You got my back, we know who you are.!" (-25% off from now on) Aowdo Kinlian Twi-Lek diplomat, core world goods Aowdo is mainly a republic contact that offers goods from the core worlds. Awodo offers diplomacy missions and diplomacy a lot of diplomacy supplies. Usually rank 7 of less. His offers have nothing to do with your diplmacy skill he offers anything he has. He offers some republic and jedi decorations as well as things from core world species. Every once in a while he offers underworld silks! The only profession recipes he will offer are artifice: dyes and synthweaving armor/clothing... and even then pretty rarely. He might offer some pets, mainly almost anything cute and cuddly. He will give you a deal on goods if you have completed any 10 republic missions, or any 10 missions that rescued/saved people from core worlds of any kind. If you are at least Light 3 he will over the same discount. "You are definately the kind of person this galaxy desperately needs!" (-25% off from now on) Ekk the builder Wookie engineer, with 2 jawa companions. Medium box decoration personnel. Ekk is a wookie engineer that seems to know how to take apart and fix almost anything! He is known for designing jawa sandcrawlers and his reputation with jawas is legendary. Ekk always offers some kind of investigation missions and materials! Ekk often offers slicing goods, but not slicing missions. Stuff from salvage. Ekk occasionally offers rare metals and compounds found from salvage! Sometimes he offers underworld metals, but that's about it. Ekk occasionally sells crafting recipes for: cybertech (usually ship components/armor/vehicles), armstech and armormech! (The really rare ones aren't cheap, but they are offered a few times a month!) Ekk sells jawa scraps from time to time, but not a lot of them unless they are the most common type. The only stronghold decorations he offers tend to be about building, repair, tech and all manner of work tools and equipment. Plus some wookie & jawa decorations. Every once in a while he will roar at the jawas or other people near him! The pets he offers will usually be droids, flying ships and collectable machinery. Ekk will give you better prices if you have done at least 5 tattooine missions, or at least 2 missions that helped/saved jawa &/or wookie lives! "I'll give you special price!" (-25% off from now on) NT-810 Droid slicer and astromech security droid NT is an astromech perfectly suited for capital starships and hacking into enemy vessels and systems. He/it could be republic or imperial, or neither.. he does't answer many questions NT sells a lot of slicing missions, and slicing materials. He always has at least 1 or 2 slicing missions for sale when he replenishes! NT will offer other missions like: investigation, diplomacy and underworld but only if they involve rescuing, repairing or freeing droids! Apparently NT is part of the "droid underground" and does what he can to rescue droids from slavery and destruction.. this is what he is raising all these funds for! NT occasionally sells profession crafting recipes for: cybertech, and even artifice (mainly shields and tech related artifice builds) NT will periodically sell droid pets of all kinds! NT offers some ship parts periodically but usually uncommon or rare ones not offered by other merchants. armstech and armormech! (The really rare ones aren't cheap, but they are offered a few times a month!) He offers some cybertech, ship and computer related decorations! NT will give you better prices if you have done at least 5 missions on any world that involved rescuing droids, prisoners of any kind, or killing sith.. for some reason. He will offer the same discounts if your light/dark is balanced, or in between light 1 and dark 1. "Your contributions to galactic stability are actually measurable. Your existance matters to me." (-25% off from now on) FLEET MERCHANTS Artylaho Findolae Human decorations/social items merchant, strongholds area. Artylaho is all about things "fabulous" beautiful and amazing. He is all about art, culture, fashion and damn near anything that has nothing to do with violence. He loves to preserve historical artifacts as well. He offers ALL social items available from all worlds, to save time you can get any of this stuff on the fleet! He offers a lot of crafting missions for: archaeology (art and culture), underworld (silks mainly!) and diplomacy (culture, fashion, art and design). He offers a lot of crafting supplies for the same mission needs as listed above. He almost always has some kind of underworld silks for sale. Stronghold Decorations: He offers/takes over a lot of the art/culture/history decorations.. most of which are permanently offered all year long. But uncommon and rare decorations of these kind pop up on his merchandice periocially, particularly if a player has a certain profession relating to these decorations! (underworld, diplomacy, etc.) Every once in a while he offers food/cooking related recipes and supplies.. much like the cantinas do. "Bulk Merchants" Items bought bulk are usually -25% to -50% cheaper than buying them one item at a time! There could be one republic, one imperial and one cartel merchant that offer "bulk" guild decorations/personnel purchases. These bulk purchases tend to be several copies of the same item.. for example 25 republic/imperial troopers, 25 junker lights, and other similar items. The main purpouse of the "bulk merchants" is to reward loyalty, and save time. For example you could pay more and just buy a ton of republic or imperial guards if you need them. Tons of junker or other lights, benches, beds and those sorts of things. The most basic items in the game could be offered in groups of 25, 35 or even 50 to speed things along. It also saves up on server lag. Bulk merchants can also offer larger stacks of items offered by the decoration droids. For example maybe you get 5 copies of a specific decorations build for only 3 or 4 industrial parts, and so on. For the republic, imperial & hutt bulk merchants there may be a level requirement of faction loyalty requirement to access certain specific items. But those factions there might be a choice of 1, 2 or 3 factions offered.. so if you have that rank in at least 1 of them, you're good! OVERVIEW At the end of the day this is just a means to get all 4 of these professions to offer more missions, mainly to balance them out for underworld and slicing! Plus the existing NPC merchants and characters are less "useless" when you revisit those worlds and starting areas! "Hey this guy sells weapons, and underworld stuff nice!"
  13. CULTURAL EVENT No idea what name would fit for this, but the galaxy does party and have a lot of business/political interractions. Seen in many celebrations on worlds, and as part of many world's cultures. Even ewoks have their own dance moves. The premise of this event is you can do missions to: Earn dances (just like from the cartel market, but you work for it.) Earn emotes (as above) Earns athletic/expressive actions/maneuvers as well (same thing) This is a non-combat, non-killing event. A chance to shine, doing other things. SALES If giving away dances/emotes and other maneuvers seems overly generous.. there are other ways to deal them out. You could have a "culture points" system much like the casino gambling event where there is one or more merchants/trainers that you BUY these things off of. But, this could be an interesting crossover with other events as well. Can you use other in game currency to also buy these points? If you spend enough credits can you just buy some dance moves, emotes and such during these events? Maybe you need a LIGHT/DARK side minimum value to buy some things.. like rude/threatening things are dark and nicer/social things are light? Perhaps you can also earn social points, interacting with other players.. dancing with them during this event? What planet, or planets does this event happen on? Also maybe stronghold decorations can be bought during this event, or are cheaper for this event? If done right, it's something for players to look foward to, save up/buy some credits and buy what you need! For example you could pay a merchant for dance lessons... and it takes your character maybe 2-3 minutes to learn these lessons. OPTIONAL - KICKBACKS To be fair to players who paid full price to buy/unlock what they have.. maybe there could be a "kickback" system. That a player maybe gets some of these CULTURE POINTS for free, a 1 time deal, per character based on the unlocks that character has already aquired. You can use that to buy more, or pick out other things. Then these players will not feel "ripped off" for paying full price! DECORATIVE CLOTHING It would also be nice to see some light and maybe medium armor recipes that are offered for sale (credits only!) during these events. Mainly for sythweaving, and possible a little armormech. Just some styles seen on some worlds... your wild and crazy queen amidalla wigs and headresses, dresses, shoes, boots... all kinds of wild stuff not strictly for combat. But for day to day life. This would be very cool for the lightly armored characters, plus for cosmetic choices as well.
  14. +1. Of course they should stack! You can have 9,999 of a specific medpack... or other items. But dyes are a single item like a weapon, armor, relic, etc? It would be perfect, and a hell of a lot more useful to crafting tons of dyes as well. For that matter, a lot of other things should stack as well.. like crafting recipes too. That would be very helpful for having room for extra things for resale on the market.
  15. BOARDING PARTY - PVP MAP Pretty basic but a replic and sith empire ship are boarding one another. Hence all the PVP combat going on between opposing forces. Both ships have vulnerable NPC crews on their respective ships that players can kill off (opposing enemies only) to add to the DAMAGE inflicted to the opposing vessel. You can also damage areas of the opposing ship to inflict DAMAGE to that vessel as well. Damage isn't equal to PVP kills... but they do matter in a tie, for overall scores to determine who wins. But it also gives players something enjoyable to do while searching for other players on each ship. (Your sith is killing off the bridge crew, what's not to like?) These combats should have constant updates on the speakers of the ship you are on where you can hear what is happening. Things like "security to the bridge!" or "security to engineering". The ships will not be as "open" as an outdoor PVP battle. You'll have some doors to open, smaller rooms and the like.. maybe even guards that attack players. But, it should be fun. Fun as hell. A lot like when Vader kills off those rebel troopers when he is trying to get those plans back. Why not, a fun enjoyable map for players. Optional if they like it. AOE or burst/splash attacks will also have their uses in ship combats, DEJARIK TABLE Dejarik is that chess game that was played on the millenium falcon. Could players play that for fun as a PVP/Duel game. A one on one game against ANY other player.. republic or empire! The rewards would be less, but why not? It's part of star wars movie lore.. it would be a fun time. Plus if done correctly... it saves on lag big time compared to other in game activities. FLEET & HUTT WORLD - PIT FIGHT PVP BATTLE AREAS Why isn't there a pit fight/PVP area on the fleets? Hell why can't people have a PVP duel in the cantina area? It would be fun, but something to do as well. Certainly the sleezier planets where republic/imp characters can fight you could have some PVP arena areas as well. Just an option, players love to fight.. a specific area for that will lead to it happening more often one on one rather than lots of large melee PVP areas. Probably more fun too at times. PET FIGHTS?!? Can pets duel one another? Perhaps in some side game, much like the dejarik table I suggested earlier. Mainly due to those pokemon/monster rancher/yugioh games.. those players are getting older and playing RPG's now. So this could be a fun payoff for collecting all those pets. The PVP rewards would be low and simple. Maybe a hutt/cartel game thing, sleezy but possible. It could be fun.
  16. I have been playing this game over 10 years, off and on. I hope this fits into your gameplay & cosmetic choices. But it is the one.. very obvious thing this game is missing right now! CAMOUFLAGE DYES NEW TYPE OF DYES FOR CRAFTING & CARTEL MARKETS!!!! MECHANICS 1. Camouflague dyes are just another type of dye! They are equipped and work in exactly the same way as all other dyes. Some are craftable, can be bought on the cartel market.. or both! 2. Camouflague dyes there is no primary or secondary. The whole armor is that entire "mix" of colors In order to look right, and actually function as camouflage, it has to conceal your armor/clothing. So both the primary and secondary match. The pattern, lines and other shapes just blend across the armor/clothing piece. This has no effect on the "uncolored" parts of your armor/gear like the visor, joints and other areas that weren't affected by colors or dyes before anyways. 3. Camouflage is cheaper & easier than most regular dyes to craft! This means it tends to be of a lower skill requirement than a comparable dye offered for artifice, but not always. Plus, compared to an existing artifice based dye, possibly less components in total. But the color/appearnce offered is much more simplistic! 4. Camoflauge is craftable by Armormech & Sythweaving only!!! (Not artifice) Artifice is the only crafting profession that creates dyes currently, but that uses archaology color crystals and the like to make. Which is fine, and the existing system. BUT... Camouflage is the simpler, "old school" way to dye armor and materials. Very low tech, albeit the more advanced stuff still requires reasonable skill and materials. 5. At least 75% of all Camouflague recipes should be taught by crafting skill trainers! Mainly so you don't have to flood the game with a bunch of new crafting related crafting recipes! (Oh Jesus, no.. please no.) So this is a lot simpler way to "get it out there" by literally just having the crafying trainers sell the dye recipes. Less hassle for all players. This also reflects how "old school" dyes are, and so many ancient cultures and species have their own favorite dyes and colors. Camouflague is no different, just battlefield/tactical color choices rather than fashion. 6. Camouflage dyes require different components than armors &/or clothing! Camouflage dyes tend to be made from: 50-75% Bioanalysis Components (Bioanalysis gathering skill.. NOT Biotech! You get it from skins, hides, hair, and various viscera of animals and plants!) 10-25% Bonding Agent - Crafting Supplies (Just a simple crafting supply item players can buy: Bonding Agent Level 1, Bonding Agent Level 2, etc. keep it simple and fit into the existing system. A bonding agent is a chemical that preserves the dye, without destroying the material. Plus allowing that color to not fade over being washed repeatedly. Many are used in paints, and other industrial related needs, but the clothing needed use is different and safer for skin contact for the wearer.) 0-25% Underworld Silks Not too often. But a few existing in game underworld silks would make sense for synthweaving being able to create some camouflage dyes. 0-25% Diplomacy Medical Supplies Not very many, but perhaps a few camouflage dyes that require trickier animal &/or plant parts need a specfific medical chemical/device to preserve them as part of a recipe? 7. The names chosen for a camouflague dye should reflect the various: worlds, factions & even species of star wars culture & history! Do the mandaloreans have 1 or 2 camouflage colors they use a lot? Does the republic have 1 to 5 official camouflauge colors for: forest, jungle, swamp, arctic worlds? What about the sith? Do the ewoks, wookies & other species have a camouflague color/choices common to their worlds? 8. Certain planets, and factions can have their own camouflague recipes (just like existing dye recipes for artifice!) Depending on their special forces, scout and survival, spy, sniper, agent & hunter/survivalist needs on certain worlds. For example a desert world like tattoine do the tusken raiders, jawas or other peoples offer desert camoflauge dye recipes? Do you need to reach a certain level of reputation with a faction to be allowed to buy it? Criminal organizations may have their own "assassination" and street thug camouflage, for hiding in the streets before you rob/execute people. The hutts and other cartels surely will sell these dye recipes to "friendly" characters who have done a number of jobs for them! 9. Camouflage recipes should be reasonable, and use components we have TONS of materials to supply! New players, particularly crafters should be able to start making camouflage dyes some time around armormech or synthweaving skill 100-150 or sooner! This way new players can make an armor, and dye it with some kind of camouflage early on in the game. This is due to the massive popularity of the clone wars series, action figures, movie characters and of course other star wars materials. Young players will eventually be spending money on this game, even a few options are worth it! Republic BasicForest Camouflage Dye 5 Green Goo, 1 Dialectric Cell Fiber, 2 Level 1-2 Bonding Agent = 1 Rep BF Camo Dye Difficulty 65 Armormech / 80 Sythweaving Trainer cost to teach 3,000 credits each, or more (not cheap, but fair) 10. Creating dyes should take about the same time as artifice dyes, even if they are less valuable! To be fair to the dye producers, they should take comparable times to make. 11. This camoflauge system allows 2 other professions to make some dyes. BUT, artifice cannot make any of these "new" dyes. So because of that, this system should keep going in this direction: Armormech can only make camouflague dyes. Artifice can only make primary/secorndary dyes. Plus maybe synthweaving could make both! Many players feel that armormech and sythnweaving get "screwed" because they have very little adaptive armors that you can insert mod items into and use. There are a lot of cosmetic cartel market and lootable armor/clothing that is adaptive and can be modded and the like. But still, within limits. So dyes give the players of armpormech and synthweaving something more to make, use and sell! But, this must be carefully controlled. You should not screw over the artifice players. Still, if synthweaving got maybe 25%-50% of the dyes permitted for artifice... that would be reasonable. But the sythweaving "version" should have different materials and costs.. possibly even bioanalysis ones based on this system.. instead of color crystals/ariftact components. It all depends on what the developers feels fits into the star wars universe, and what the books/other games tell us about how it works! (If synthweaving got some dye recipes, camouflague only or a mixture of both.. it would be well recived as this profession is often underused.) WHY? 1. Camouflage is not high tech, but in fact.. low tech! Plus bioanalysis is currently only used for 1 profession: Biotech. This would make a LOT of sense for the massive amount of biotech that players can gather. With the many hunting/hunter based species in star wars like the wookies, trandoshan, bounty hunters, mandaloreans and so many others... why wouldn't you be able to camouflage armor &/or clothing? Being able to create your own camouflage dyes from creatures you hunt/kill and plant samples you gather also fits into this game big time. If you are a mandalorean, trooper.. or sniper build.. well of course you should be able to make your own camauflage if you have the right skill to produce them! 2. Military Usage / In Game Precedents In the movie "Return of the Jedi" we see rebel troopers in camouflaged armor, and imperial scouts as well. Plus in many, many star wars video games we see many military/scout units clearly in camouflaged armors/clothings as well. Clone wars series and arguably episodes 1-3 have such a massive following being able to camo characters if you want to is a truly useful ideal to add to this game. If it can be programmed, without too many problems. 2. Players love to mix & match their characters, as well as some finishing touches. 3. In a role playing game, things can get a bit repetitive and even a slight change to appearance keeps things interesting. 4. Programming wise, this might cut down on lag to some degree. Not always, but sometimes depending on the complexity of the video card camouflage may be great for some player's computer systems as well. PVP it's nowhere near as good as stealth, but depending on the map it could come in handy here and there! 5. Star Wars has a lot of conflict, battles, planets and different enviroments. Camouflage and different speeders and mounts might look really really awesome together! Plus of course the armor/clothing that players have to choose from. Maybe your character has torso armor just for: forest, desert, arctic, and other enviroments you just switch to depending on that world you are doing missions/PVP on. It makes the game more fun, and keeps it fun!
  17. +1, support. Seems fair. In fact both of my mirulkans I can't see their face/hair very well unless after character creation I make them wear something that covers their missing eyes. i would have liked to have given them a cool hairstyle and other features... but I am the one who can't see either... apparently! Maybe they need more options on the creation/appearance change menu... so you can see/choose more easily.
  18. +1, support. Very reasonable. Especially if certain architectural styles, and furnishings are common on a planet. (New player) "That looks awesome! Can I get that for my stronghold?" Many games do that already, you get to furnish your home with part of your story/character development. Why not? Some worlds are inaccessible: ex coruscant/dromund kaas depending on your faction. BUT, if you have a character that can go to that world, boom.. buy the stuff there! The planet is already programmed, make an NPC merchant. Saves time and money in the long run anyways. Plus your missions on specific worlds/reputation with certain factions matter more. But the Hutt stuff will probably still be very ugly, so don't expect to be impressed.
  19. +1 Support! True that, I mean if you have hair.. shouldn't it be for everyone? Many races have similar hair thickness? Like light, medium and heavy thickness? It's a simple thing, but yeah the game has been out over 10 years it will help sell this unlock too! Very good one! Btw, my cathar female imperial agent has 50's style curly hair that looks awesome on her!
  20. Excellent idea! One of my alts has the role of "beastmaster" who gives out mounts/vehicles & pets. But certainly if a guild had the option to assign rolenames which had nothing to do with rank, but might allow more permits for their rank.. it makes a lot of sense!
  21. I love this game, completely. But having to repost a ton of auctioned items every 3 days gets tiresome. That must consume a fair amount of system resources keeping track of it all. My proposal is simple: F2P Players - Auction 1 to 3 days limit Preferred Players - Auction 1 to 7 days limit Subscribed Players - Auction 1 to 21 days limit (3 weeks!) This cuts down on tons of hassle, encourages players to buy subscriber even once for a month to try it... but more than anything it's more FUN!!! We get a little more time for looting instead of checking the mail and reposting stuff all the time. Plus players should always have the option to post it for 1-3 days if they want to anyways, if they have something super expensive and want to constantly check the market for that item. Why not, it's their stuff. Plus for crafting, and getting access to crafting recipes and materials on sale it won't be so hit & miss to find what you need. It might in it's own way affect inflation to a small degree, not having to repost over and over every 3 days might lower some costs a bit. So it is useful to players of all levels, and promotes the usefulness of crafting & selling loot! Plus, the players looking to sell their high end stuff might (might) stop spamming the general chat so often with their items. It seems some players give up or are too lazy to post on GTN and just spam looking for buyers. It's easier to make the sale on GTN, more of them will do it... well the smarter ones anyways.
  22. True, especially for furniture, benches, beds, etc. Chairs and tables for godsakes, the rooms look a bit naked and open compared to the regular PVE gameplay areas. It shouldn't cost millions to put some furniture in a room. Not picking on the game, i think they meant to do it... but instead they focused on looting and cartel credit purchases. They need to allow us to make things we need, that is exactly what crafting was meant for. Hell we aren't even on another planet yet, we build furniture all the time on earth! I have tons and tons of extra crafting materials just waiting to get turned into stuff, bring it on boys!
  23. +1, damn.. it never occurred to me. I suppose it might even be possible as the natural sound for that specific weapon, color crystal and other variables that allow you a selection to choose from. On preferences perhaps?
  24. +1, like a sith sorceror could do that too I suppose. Jedi sage & sith sorc could both have that.. palpatine only pulls out his hidden lightsaber if someone else is armed. He keeps those deadly cooked fingers of his at the ready, they're all he needs really. He uses telekenesis to disarm people pretty quickly in fact. Keep weapon sheathed, sounds more like a preferences thing.. or a passive skill like sprint you can click on or off if needed. Maybe the lightsaber only comes out to block the occasional shot and gets put away just as quickly, also cool. Or, instead of blocking with the lightsaber you use nearby objects like rocks, and furniture or whatever.
