  1. The main reason I thought about returning to the game was this new galactic season, I knew the story would be trite, wasn't that much bothered by the nerf, and was expecting some bugs, but that's just too much. It's the second week those galactic season objectives are bugged, now you can't do the mayhem with a party, because past the first boss the console is uninteractable. No bug will be fixed during a week in which it is found, so most of the objectives are only on the edge of human capability and most of us can't dream to fulfil them. Another objective is a pure grind, even with a giant group it'll probably take half an hour to kill TWENTY-BLOODY-FIVE champion droids, I would understand 3 or 5, but the hell is this? Probably the rest of the objectives is easy, but I'm too weary to check. And if you say it isn't that hard, most people aren't hardcore into this game. I thought I only ever needed to toil to earn money, not pay them, but only for a luxury of toiling a second time just in a fictional universe. Happily, one month is worth but a few pennies, but pennies lost. I'm going to play something else.
  2. Neither am I mocking you nor justifying myself, if anything the complete opposite. Although maybe it's old-fashioned and nearly unheard those times, people can be genuinely sorry, knowing they are in the wrong, showing disappointment in their own behaviour.
  3. Sorry, it had to be done, no other way around it, tried to be proactive, killed great amount of enemies, even some alone, to my surprise, yet no medals that counted. Hopefully objective like that won't repeat, you just got to suffer this week that opportunistic behaviour that this bug forced upon us. Humans are nothing but cannibalistic beasts, remaining outside of harm of another only with way too loose shackles of not so common courtesy, limit our food supply - or in this age of excess, a luxury supply - we'd break them and try to sate our hunger eternal. This week it got to be you. Again, sorry that this piece of reality was forced upon this game, which supposed to be fun and an asylum from the real world problems, and you have an entire week, no less, of being deprived of what I assume gives you a great deal of entertainment. I can now use that detestable phrase, "I'm just a human" and be ashamed for my failure, and also many others, which I don't fool myself makes it worse, of being better than the baseline. I failed to contain that hideous animal and introduced to your life some modicum of misery, and in doing so I made the world, although maybe infinitesimal amount, but there is no amount that matters not, a worse place. And even if there is some fault with the people who oversaw this objective, there is also fault on me. I'm sorry.
  4. It's actually a bad idea to hope for the 8 minutes, even if you point yourself in a tight spot on a satellite, the enemy team is now predisposed to look for you there, due to it becoming a common tactic, it's better to set an engine mode [F3] and speed up towards one satellite with a group, capture it, cut the engine off [x], park in a satellite crevice, turn shield mode [F2] and try to survive for 4 minutes, and if both teams are close to equal in strength straight away after 4 minute notification in a chat, join an effort to capture another satellite, if you're lucky you may even get 3 captures. Thanks to that strategy, twice I've got three counting medals and thrice two, while only once have I managed to not be blown away for a straight 8 minutes. It still took me about 16 hours on the whole to complete this broken objective, tho
  5. Ok, to regurgitate what the devs said because maybe I pointed out their response not bluntly enough, only defense medals for 4 and 8 minutes, damage medals for 20, 25, 30, 40k, and capture medals for capture of 2 and 3 objectives count. So if you're in a deathmatch, you don't wanna be in the deathmatch... unless you're skilled enough… I simply count on getting a domination and simply sit under a beacon hoping no one from the enemy team spots me there, and thus slowly I get… 1 medal per one match, because inexorably someone spots me, unless it is a deathmatch in which case I get a round number of 0
  6. I feel naive for asking, but will the devs at least try to solve this bug before the end of the week, or should I continue the grind now and hope that before the timer will run out I'll have completed this objective?
  7. I tried to figure out what count as a medal in this conquest, and at first I thought only a gold counts, because each time I get defence medals up to gold only one of them counts. But then one of those counted as well: https://imgur.com/a/xLi9mNs So, I don't know, maybe only silver medals count… EDIT: found a thread where the devs spoke on the issue: https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=10010801#post10010801 Yeah, I thought so too, even a basic ball compass could do miracles, or even better a navball like in KSP (here).
  8. Got one medal for capture, two for defence, none counts. This conquest is broken... isn't it?
  9. If that's true, I send my apology to all people who like GSF (which I would love to like as well, but I'm too easily disoriented as of where's up and where's down), I'm gonna join the others and camp those defence medals
  10. I don't know if it's a bug or simply my misunderstanding what constitute a medal in the "Stay on Target" conquest for galactic seasons, but even if I'm a terrible player in Galactic Starfighter matches and probably a blight on any team I'm assigned to, I got my humble 4 medals in the last match and all were for damage. What bothers me is that they did not count towards the counter, I have 2 weeklies to do yet, so it's not that this conquest isn't available to me, and I'm wary not to make any progress towards any left since except for this one, which is for 12 points, all others are for 8, and why would anyone willingly do them, and lose those 4 points. So am I doing something wrong, and it is not those medals, but a different kind, or is it some bug?
  11. Would love Darth Zash to return, and as mentioned before, Nathema Conspiracy provides (although somewhat hand-waved) ability for Zash to get a new body, and also returning Khem if someone chose to free him from the "witch" seems trivial. If devs feel concerned with this being too evil an explanation if a character is a lightsider and decided to side with Zash, they could simply make a short storyline of the character providing her a new flesh virtually identical to her original body built by the mother machine of Belsavis, coincidentally encountered in the inquisitor's plot. Or whatever, I am simply saying that in provided world-building there is nothing that is disallowing her to get a new body. As to why Zash would follow her student without this charm put on Khem's body, first she was trying to kill us only because she wanted our body, and then in an act of revenge because she was mad about putting her in a body of a monster. With both of those out of the way, and maybe lack of bad blood between them, she may either simply have a perspective that her student is still in need of teaching, or in desperate need to ascertain her position as an advisor to us as an influential person, given the restructuration of the Empire.
  12. I support the idea, and hope that this thread will be kept afloat so maybe one day it'll become a reality since I'd really like miraluka in concept, but unfortunately in game it's simply a human with a set of unappealing blindfolds which never blend with any attire, lacking even a basic sash-like blindfold. I would love to have either a cord-like Jerec's blindfold, or parade maskless like the Tenth Brother. Not only that, but I even weirdly adore this gauche thing, probably due to its simple stupid extravaganza, and I don't really see any of my characters wearing it. Shamefully I'll attempt a "self" advertising: I made a thread touching this topic in a suggestion box, if anyone's interested - https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=1002754. I don't want that to replace this thread, so I show my support.
  13. It’s been over a decade of many threads asking for new and better miraluka masks, and it is unlikely there will be any, but nevertheless why not try. People, me included, claimed them to be ugly, lacking and unfitting to the outfit system. Furthermore, there is nothing to differ miraluka from baseline human, since they for unknown reason have eyebrows and if you clip inside their head you’ll notice that they do have eyes, just hidden behind the blindfold. Also, due to making them not clip through hats, helmets and like, if you wear one of those head accessories partially uncovering skin (like hoods) you’d see your chosen mask being replaced by the most basic metallic circlet-thing. Many times people made an argument that miraluka should get a cartel appearance customization pack, but I think that due to them being one of the least chosen race, those might simply be deemed not profitable enough, I even wonder how even those already existing customizations for singled out more popular races could bring substantial enough profit. To stop miraluka from being one of the most redundant and omitted races, I propose what follows. 1. New “face” slot Miraluka would get an additional head slot only for aesthetics purposes where all the new blindfolds headbands and the like, would be applied over eyes. Those items, sellable in cartel market would be usable as well by other races, so it could be sold to any player, who could apply it as a headband, circlet or whatever it looks like in a normal head slot, as such I assume they could be as profitable as any similar piece of clothing already is on the market. It would also make those eyes coverings dyeable and able to blend better with the rest of the outfit. Since allowing a secondary spot which is just rotated and lowered head accessory would mean that you’d need to tweak each already existing head accessory to fit the new position, just don’t allow in this spot anything except masks newly-designed to fit that spot. Already established headdresses chosen by a player in character creation could simply spawn in a slot as a part of the first outfit, possibly buyable from some vendor if needed to be replaced or changed. Since any hood seem consistent in shape, making a cut non-clipping version loading when worn with the hood shouldn’t be hard to code, but then I wouldn’t know. It would remove the need for that obnoxious default circlet. 2. New default (or not) face It shouldn’t come as surprise that base default state of miraluka eye-space ought to be just skin over eye-sockets, and even if it could be too hard to code the new face and even more removal of possibly hard-coded eyes, it could simply be just given the default skin-texture blindfold phasing in the skin. Or it could be a special customization, replacing the default designated by the devs, could be as well the one that already is functioning, available in the cartel market, with specification that it’s only applicable by miraluka of course, I don’t think many would mind paying for that, even if they consider it a state that miraluka should have as a base look. While there were some worries over this seeming grotesque to children, I don’t think it is, and neither did people behind already established Star Wars comic books, Visas Marr in Star Wars Tales Volume 6 (here), the Tenth Brother in Darth Vader comic book series (here) or Q’Anilia in Knights of the Old Republic 34 (here). Now something that can make miraluka enter the uncanny valley: eyebrows shouldn’t be removed, since miraluka in accordance to their culture could simply paint them on to hide their supposed deformity further. And there is already a shaved eyebrow customization in character creator, though most favourably there could be an additional version of all complexions without the eyebrows added for miraluka only, and since it’s not much of a change, I would really advise developers from monetizing this. Summary With the masks: 1. Create an additional purely decorative slot for eye coverings for miraluka only; 2. Sell on the Cartel Market eye coverings as a normal head slot item, which would be used by miraluka in the decorative slot, while each of the other races could wear on their foreheads; 3. Turn character creation masks into normal dyeable items that spawn as a base gear with the player, and all are buyable at some vendor for credits; 4. Make the masks not to be replaced by the base blindfold while wearing the hood, but make a cut version of the item which would suit all the hoods and not clip through them, toggling while wearing hoods. With the face: 1. Either: • Replace miraluka’s vanilla state from this circlet-visor thing to a flesh colour texture over the eyes (maybe toggleable if some people wouldn’t like it); • Make a cartel market eye flesh covering that is applicable only to miraluka and bound to the colour of the character skin; 2. Add a secondary set of complexions to the character creation of miraluka, nearly identical to the base but devoided of eyebrows. Requested masks Since I know it’s as sure as if a law of physics, asking vaguely for something new never bears any fruit, so I present here a short list of particular blindfolds that throughout those years people requested: • Lace • Rag bound with a knot behind the head • Simple sash or a sweatband, plain dyeable colour (1, 2) • Bandage wrappings, like in an old race icon (1, 2, 3) • Maskless, as mentioned and shown above • Narrow thread-like, akin to Jerec's from Dark Forces (1) There are also some of miraluka’s headdresses/blindfolds from Star Wars universe which I’d show as an inspiration maybe, but it’s not a recommendation: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and even somehow one of this forum’s avatars, how it's not in the game, I don't know. Threads before Here come the list of the threads mentioned, which asked for new mask and functionalities for them: 2011 (1) 2012 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) 2012 — 2013 (1) 2013 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) 2013 — 2014 (1) 2014 (1, 2) 2015 (1, 2, 3) 2015 — 2016 (1) 2014 — 2016 (1) 2016 (1, 2) 2017 (1) 2018 (1, 2) 2019 (1) 2020 (1) 2016 — 2021 (1) 2013 — 2021 (1) – the longest and the most recently active thread If you're a player, and you agree but don't really think like writing any response, just write something short like "I'm for/I support" to possibly show that it's a thing you'd like.
