  1. I've been playing fine for the past hour. Don't remember what my server is, can you check that while in gameplay?
  2. Oh that actually makes a difference? I didn't know that. The warrior I already played Ossus with was light side, so that wasn't even something I considered. Do you hear back from her in that scenario, like, does the alliance alert just play out differently or does she break with you over mail?
  3. I hope we'll get to publically declare for one side or the other at some point, I'd suspect Pardax would be activated if we reach that point.
  4. I have no specific planet wishes since I never actually consumed any star wars media besides SWTOR itself, but I was actually quite happy with the framing around Onslaught itself. Having both new worlds and some material to expand on the progression on old worlds is something I can get behind as a "template." It sort of makes sense to revisit Balmorra at some point, in a similar fashion to how we went back to Corellia, just because I'm unsure how they'd reintroduce Zenith in any other way besides that.
  5. Playing a new character through the expansions. First time meeting Heskal on Asylum for some reason the conversation after beating him in combet bugs out and his character model disappears from the trial chamber. It happened both the first time, when Valkorion gives you the option to use his power and after you fight Heskal a second time after refusing. I fixed it by galaxy map-traveling to the fleet and resuming the chapter, which respawned Heskal both times. Reporting the bug so others that happen upon it has a solution and because the bug really takes you out of your immersion.
  6. Cheers. Especially recently I feel like quite a few romance characters were returned without doing anything with them, for example the smuggler romances all only get a single scene. It also makes sense that our commander would take their lover into their advisor team.
  7. I have a hard time deciding on the best. I think male SW sounds authoritative and eerily noble, which fits all versions of alignment imo. Female smuggler I think is the class character that sounds like the VA had the most fun playing a rogueish chaotic character. Jennifer Hale as female trooper is hard not to like too, there's a reason why she's so good as commander Shepard too. There are three voices I dislike, male Inquisitor, male smuggler and male consular. Out of all of them I'd say male Consular is my least favourite, purely because I think it's one of Nolan Norths worse performance, man how I wish they'd have him do the male Smuggler, I think he'd have been good at that class character. My problem with the Inquisitor is that he just sounds cartoonish, the character sounds like they are trying to mock the Sith stereotype constantly. The male smuggler is purely a personal dislike, the voice actor is simply just such a common voice for NPC's in various games. I can't help but feel like the male smuggler isn't a main character whenever he speaks. I also don't really enjoy male Trooper, but not because the voice is bad. That voice actor is just Varric from Dragon Age to me and I can't unhear that character when I play male trooper. I feel like he's going to crack jokes, talk about crossbows or suggest Wicked Grace games constantly.
  8. I'm curious, what happens if you mix your choices? I'm not at that story point yet, but when I get there with my smuggler I plan to mix the choices that make him un/happy. She's gonna nope out about the reactor, cuz feck danger, but she'll take on the refugees because it ain't that big a bother and she'll talk Kaliyo down later. Does Koth get mad if you only get 2/3 right?
  9. Not that I disagree really, but I always felt like the story after becoming the commander really hinged on the opposite of plot-armor, something like plot-weapon? Like, Arcann and Vaylin are just strong for no reason and therefore the story has to bul**** reasons as to why we can challenge them at all. Visibly Arcann and Vaylin never perform any feats that seem outlandish when compared to any other force user they are just strong *because* I don't even feel like the last fights with either of them displayed anything that seemed totally overwhelming, especially Arcann who was basically defeated by a normal zakuul knight shield.
  10. Quite a few necro threads recently. We're starved for content! Anyway, the wannabe writer in me is not quite sure that I like force-choke-through-holo. I think Baras does it too, although to a mook and not a dark council member. It makes you wonder though, why don't any powerful force user not just send minions with holos out on missions? When you're choking someone half a galaxy away, what's to stop you, besides attacking the machinery the makes the holoprojection itself? Although cool, it seems unnecessarily powerful to have the ability to force choke someone that isn't even within vicinity to you. Pulling-lightsabers-from-anywhere-in-the-galaxy powerful.
  11. A few of the classes have some sort of "divine intervention," but I agree that the SI is especially bad. The Sith Warrior gets the servants, the agent gets watcher x, for example. The SI gets Kallig, doesn't he save them on two occasions? Khem Val when confronting Zash, something that she specifically requests for whatever reason, and later on is saved by Zash's apprentices again. The smuggler gets into a few interactions where they play the opponents against each other, but I can't recall any specific saves from others. Really, the republic classes and the Bounty Hunter were pretty clean when it comes to intervention, right?
  12. Honestly, the heartbreak of that revelation sounds so dramatically juicy that I'd almost be tempted to run a sabotrooper myself. Almost.
  13. That's funny, although I like the consular's entire story, I always felt like the first chapter was the best personally. The healing power really sets them apart to me and given them something special that defines their unique role in the order.
  14. Great, finally another Rakghoul event. My latest SW has been waiting for a while to get Lokin recruited.
  15. I think Ylliarus already summed up what I'd view as the best compromise between the ideal and the practical options. That said, I really wish I could get the choice to completely abandon the class stories too. I know that doesn't really make sense, given that, that would break the story into even more sections. I just really wish my smuggler had the option to end the motivational charade and go back to stealing and being a general annoyance with both nations.
  16. Imagine sending Scourge. Having to deal with the republic senate probably wouldn't do any wonders for the sake of converting him to the light side.
  17. I always hoped that the writers and storyboard designers would implement a "companion slot" like, maybe as a default it'd just be Lana like usual, so if you don't have an available companion. In case you do have a companion with you, then the same scene will play but the companion accompanying you would occupy the dialogue spots that Lana normally holds. For scenes where a character adresses you that aren't necessarily you companion I'd make use of the romance flag, so those that have a romantic interest to their character could get to interact with them as well. Basically if you have a romance, they get the spotlight, if not then Lana. The characters that most people care about are romantic options in the first place, so I think it could be a compromise between "implementing all companions" and "implementing no companions"
  18. Given the current way the story is designed I doubt we'll see much of any companions again, unless they get singular scenes like the ones Elara and Vector were given most recently, which frankly, I feel like isn't even worth the effort. Maybe you'll get lucky and you get a scene where Quinn does nothing or says something vague. I really hope the developers get around to making "companion interaction" in upcoming story content, like comments to interactions you'd be having while playing the story, like the good old days. I doubt it though, probably too much work for the current team even to just implement a few. It'd really do something for story replayability if at least a couple of optional scenes were made for companions.
  19. What happens if you use the fast travel to exit? Can you use that? (I can't recall if there's a FT spot in the beginning of Ord Mantell).
  20. To be fair, Steve Blum has at least one role in all games ever. He usually also plays wolverine in cartoons. When I hear him I think of Gorim and Oghrim in Dragon Age: Origins (he voices both).
  21. You should reread your history on the period between the wars. The Nazi's were killing off their own throughout the period which they were active. Most famously the night of the long knives, which took place several years before the outbreak of the war.
  22. That's a bit of a pity though, it can sometimes say a lot about a culture or order how they name things/people or on what principles or rules.
  23. I have no idea if this is the best spot, but I use the area behind the imperial base in the Highmount Ridge area. That's the area with the planeray quest where both factions have something to do with a Ortolan reactor. Anyway, behind the imperial base and that huge factory, on the east side of the depression where the planetary quest takes you, there's a mountain range where at least 4-6 worthy targets reliably spawn. They spawn around the peak of the tall mountain next to the imperial base and along the range from north to south. By the time you've killed the targets from one end to the other they will usually respawn back on the other end so you can turn around and do it once more over. I can usually get Qyzen in half an hour to an hour. EDIT: Also, if you find the area depleted you can usually change to a different map instance and there'll be a bunch more. It's extremely rare that I encounter other players in that area, so there's never been any competition for the kills.
  24. Is there any lore behind those names anyway? Lots of Jedi have names constructed that way, but the Jedi are an order and not a culture, so are those names ones that the characters have since birth or do some Jedi take new names in the order?
