I can just as easily say this sounds like envy.

 

I've never actually seen anybody with that attitude you described, I've only seen numerous posts here describing people as such because they refused to agree with people arguing for these types of things. I have no problem with things being exclusive in this game. It doesn't matter to me how they were distributed by design (Ranked PvP rewards, NiM Ops rewards, RNG, Sub rewards, etc...). If I didn't qualify for something, it's not going to make or break this game for me. I believe that if the Devs decide to offer exclusive awards or rewards, they should stick to that design.

 

Finally, it's absurd to sit there blaming people for subbing when any sub rewards were being offered as if this really made the game worse. The last thing a company will do is pump more money into a game nobody is supporting. So are you really claiming that the game is worse today because people subbed?

 

It sounds like you already have these sub rewards and you're just firewalling the rest of the community who doesn't have them.

Hexid was iirc also a one time reward and then they made her into an achievement.

Anyway I get that some people feel special if they have things other dont have and they want to gatekeep that.

There are tons of players who missed out on Nico vs Shae during that month where we got both Nico and Shae Vizla for subbing. Before, they were brought back a second time: Nico vs Shae, they were attainable individually during a sub month. Nico and Shae have been brought back before, please bring them back again, it's long overdue, players have incessantly been asking for another return for years now.

Thats kind of the point the bit I quoted made right? If, rather than be subbed on XXX date it was be subbed for YYY months, the reward system would benefit people who subscribed for long periods of time, which i would think (idk im no expert here) would help BW/EA make money because maybe someone wants a cool reward for being a 6 month sub and they normally would have dropped at 5.

 

You're right; makes perfect sense, Kendra. Everquest 2 has such a "Veteran's Rewards" system that does just that (among other MMOs), and works pretty good. People subbed on lucky goody months overlooks people who sub much more often over time, but just missed the goody month (know mates who just missed the Nico vs Shae sub reward month by a day to a few days). Other than that, can just put companions on the CM with HK-55 and The Shroud.

Shae and Nico are in this game's opening cinematics, it's such a *cringe* move to keep them from players.

Why should you guys (who didn't qualify for Shae) get her, while I don't get the pre-order crystals or the crystals from the Razer promotion from 2011 (for which I didn't qualify)?

Those 2 crystals were tied to <<actual physical products>>, NOT just a little perk from subscribing on a particular month: Huge Difference. And there's no way 1 of those companions is worth 1 crystal, never mind 2: the crystals are far rarer and worth way more.:rolleyes: Now, moving on to other posts that aren't so utterly delusional.

[New PvP rewards system is horrible]

Before, pretty much in a single session I could get daily and some progress to weeklies no matter what. This evening I went 3L and 1W. The loosing teams I was with were hopeless. The team I was with that won was OP and would have won without me. Getting stuck with new folks with poor armor didn't really bother me with challenge and rewards system, but now it feels like a waste of time. Now the game is reduced to seeing what side of the premade I will be on.

 

I really am struggling to see the point of PvPing right now -- feels like wasted evening.

 

Well, you're right: the new pvp changes are a complete waste of time as it's firewalling many pvpers who just try to scrap out a weekly, while discouraging newer pvpers from attempting to get better at pvp (ranked and unranked). The result is so absurdly obvious that I'm shocked BioWare sunk this low on b0nehead moves - the pvp population will be a shell and only the few premades elite will thrive.

 

<The pvp team is completely out of touch and out to lunch>. RIP pvp.

 

 

PS: take the 20 wz requirement off the Major Pierce alliance alert - pve'ers shouldn't be forced to do this (pvp) nonsense.

Oh, I see. Well a weekly for the dailies would be welcome, and like I said I would also appreciate a GTN kiosk on it... and every other hub in the planets for better convenience, if they can add legacy banks too it would be great.

 

I really like your idea of adding Legacy banks. I use mine all the time. It definitely saves time, using it on the go:)

Of course they should bring back the old Ilum dailies (and any other dailies or repeatable content which has been removed), and to be consistent with the other daily areas, they should add a weekly mission for Ilum (complete a full round of dailies).

 

While they are at it, they should set the Ilum heroic to daily instead of weekly.

 

As for a GTN in the base areas - why not, though I don't see that as a big issue.

 

I totally agree with you. Many of us could make a lot use use of the content. The heroic used to be repeatable daily, if I remember right; but you're right, it'd better serve as a repeatable daily while matching the quality of the other dailies:) (GTN just adds convenience, yes.)

[Expansion(s) In the future]

OP, I wouldn't get your hopes up with a future expansion anytime soon, sorry to say. It was a 2 year or so gap the last time we got an expansion, and with the current state of the states under lockdown from Corvid-19 and that it's going to be years until a reliable vaccine and return to normalcy in business, I'd expect even longer than the ~2 year time gap before.

Apparently, common sense has been eluded, if you think a weekly would ever consist of placing a GTN on Ilum.

I'll clarify:

 

a) create a {New Weekly} on Ilum for completing the old Ilum dailies that have been removed from this game(<---bring this <removed content> back and update the rewards on said dailies to be relevant, to the reward scale of this expansion). Let's not forget, many players spent years doing these dailies, before they were removed from this game. Now is the time when this game needs all the content it can get: just return the removed content that had been in this game for years and stop taking out dailies, BioWare.

 

b) put a GTN (kiosk) on Ilum (as it says, pretty straightforward. Ideally put the GTN kiosk around the 1st floor vendors area; namely, in the middle of the big room of vendors on Imp side on the 1st floor (between the elevator and the instance. Go to Makeb and there's a GTN kiosk on the orbital station; Dromund Kaas has 2 GTN kiosks; CZ has 1 GTN kiosk; it's not just for a SH Having a GTN kiosk on Ilum would add convenience, when questing there (like during the Gree event, for ex.)
