Sorry, but I just need to look at mmo-champion.com and see that all the stupid crap that was going on in WoW 6 months ago, and a year ago, and two years ago, is still going on.
Reskinned mounts for sale at the pet store doesn't make me want to go back to the game either.
It's the same game it was 7 years ago; there are just more ways to distract you from the fact right now.

In order for this to change, BioWare must be prepared to ignore, not listen to, the current crop of "I try every new MMO, and WoW was my first" players and instead focus on doing what is going to build a good future.
The community will eventually shed the WoW playing-alone-in-a-crowd mentality but only if they don't give in to the complaints of those very players. There's a massive crop of people who hate these socially disconnected MMOs with a passion and if EA/BioWare is smart, they'll let those people just unsubscribe for the future good of the game. The World of Warcraft model is not the way to do things. The game was a fluke, it just happened to come along at the right time as EQ was getting old and more and more people were leaving dial-up behind.
Why should it change? MMO doesn't mean forced grouping. I'm glad as hell that practically every story area is instanced.
The absolute worst thing about MMOs is the people. If I want to group, I'll do it with my guild - people I know aren't a bunch of random ninja-looting ADHD morons.
I'm glad as hell that I can level up solo. If I was forced to group to do so, I'd have never bought the game in the first place, much less set up a subscription.

This doesn't apply, since on those items you can't get an upgraded schematic and the game doesn't tell you this. You have to read the forums to figure it out after you've already wasted the time and the credits.
It was a joke. Not great, but not bad for a Tuesday morning.

Yeah, it would be nice if that game gave some feedback that we could see without sinking a lot of time and effort into if something could be REd.

Torhead can NOT be trusted. There's a lot of data mining from the beta left over in the databases. For instance all armors/weapons show an augment slot. Even dropped-only ones.
That said, Lightsabers can have an augment slot. There are several screenshots on this forum showing people crit crafted them and obtained augment slots.
I have a lightsaber with an augment slot. I saw it up for 100k and I snagged it. (Score!)
If you need proof, my character is Kapono, Vrook Lamaar server if you want to come look at it; I can't link it in trade or whisper for some reason though, so you'd need to inspect my character.

Exactly as reasonable as two characters from opposite factions standing on Nar Shadaa, speaking the same language standing next to one another but unable to hand a sandwich or a beer to the other.
I mean, come on dude.
A dude from Afghanistan and a dude from New York can meet in Amsterdam and share a bowl; is it so incomprehensible for something similar in a video game?

If your Legacy name extends to all players on both faction, then yes, you should be able to mail stuff to them. If you want to RP it, use the "Hutt Cartel Expedited Profit-Based Mailbox" and charge 100 credits an item.
The Nar Shadaa auction is nothing more than a hassle to do exactly the same thing.
I'm going to be doing it anyway, so why not make it less of a headache?

My log in times, particularly in Nar Shadda, are LOOOOOOONG. Like minutes long. What's the deal? Is there any way to speed this up?

The point is that they are magnificent. Truly kickass. Amazing, astounding, and a real turn on.
The point is that you can sell them for 200k a pop at the auction.

If you want pure profit, go Underworld trading (get metals only), Slicing (lockbox missions and sell mission items you get), and either Scavenging or Bioanalysis. You can make bank selling off mats to people that are skilling up other professions.
I wouldn't take any other production profession other than BioChem when leveling up though; you outlevel most gear you'll be able to make before you can make it.
You can always switch when you reach max level if you like; the pure profit option is good because your stuff will sell, then you turn around the cash and buy some nicer items off the auction to level up with easily.

So I guess I should be hoarding mats and items to RE, but not RE anything til 1.2. Wish I woulda seen that before blowing a few hundred K on a looooow RE chance~
BTW, I used to RE MANY items between 5-10 tries consistently. Over the past week or so, I've gotten one RE in close to 100 items -- various skills lvls. Could it be RNG? Sure. But, perception/odds would indicate they accidentally broke some code recently...
Yeah, I'm doing the same. I tossed a TON of mats down the drain before I found out that r/e wasn't working. Kinda sucks, but meh.

He's asking if it JUST got nerfed. LTR. That post you linked to, for one, doesn't say anything ever got broken with RE - they're saying it's "not working as intended" which is the same thing they say for everything that they decide to change. Has NOTHING TO DO with it "breaking".
Oh and I forgot to add, "reverse engineering is broke" means RE has no money. I believe what you probably meant to say was "reverse engineering is broken".

Every part is instanced. Both flash points and standard areas. I am confused why did they do this?
Because the absolute worst, *******st part of this game is the other people playing. The less I have to deal with them, particularly when questing or actually trying to enjoy the story, the better.

ALTHOUGH to be on topic I disagree about Cybertech speeders, I think they should stay BoP.
I agree with this. I do however think they should add some pet schematics to the game, obtained via investigation or something.
