  1. Why would this be needed? If there is a craftable, consumable "augmenter" item, it works out like this:

     

    10: craft orange item

    20: if crit goto 50

    30: craft augmenter

    40: use augmenter on item

    50: profit!

     

     

     

    This is, ideally, how I think it would be best. A crit craft of an orange item yields an orange with an augment slot. Allow the object/device that can make an item augmented to itself be crafted, or better yet, the result of a "crit" Slicing mission, perhaps max level. Thus, you keep those who have storage holds full of cool looking orange gear happy (like myself), crafters happy (because they can occasionally have the extra bonus of creating items that don't need the augmentation creation object, and can mark up their goods appropriately), the Slicers happy (because they can occasionally find the augmentation adding object) and can sell it. Prices will be regulated by two things: the rarity of the crit craft, and the rarity of the augmentation kit find.

  2. If it's just going to be us hitting "refresh" until we see the Rich missions we want, then they might as well just display them all, allow us to sort/display for reward type so we can just pick and chose.

     

    Every single aspect of the game doesn't need to be us fighting the RNG.

    You can always start out on a new server.

     

    I'd personally love to see about 20 more slots on my home server. I hate rerolling on other servers.

     

    I mean hey - we're paying to play, and they're giving us more and more reasons to do so. Why not have a lot of slots for different ways to do so? Storage space is cheap.

    This isn't SWG, and from what I've heard about that game, I'm glad it isn't. This isn't World of Warcraft either (thank Christ).

     

    I just think it'd be stupid to think that we should have cutsie mounts that run as fast as rockets. Meh. Just my opinion. :)

  5. I dig on Star Wars, but I think we'd be getting a bit too close to WoW if we started making every cutsie reskinned animal a mount that flies/runs/hops as fast as a rocket.

     

    The only thing I got out of seeing Kenobi on that animal mount in the movie was "wow what crappy CGI".

    • Legacy of Sacrifice – Grants the use of the sacrifice ability to all characters. Injures your companion to instantly heal yourself. Requires level 50, Dark V, 250,000 credits, legacy level 10

    • Legacy of Unity – Grants the use of the unity ability to all characters. Unity reduces damage to you and your companion for a short duration. Requires level 50, Light V, 250,000 credits, legacy level 10

    • Legacy of Equilibrium – Grants the use of the equilibrium ability to all characters. Equilibrium increases damage and healing by you and your companion for a short duration. Requires level 50, neutral, 250,000 credits, legacy level 10

     

     

     

    I'd far rather have a self-heal on some characters and a damage reduction on others. I think it's kinda silly to have that type of game mechanic tied to Light/Dark side. A option to chose between the two, accessible when you max out Light/Dark seems more reasonable. Just my opinion. :cool:

  7. Good suggestion there... but a lot of folks have concerns about the availabilty of same-faction GTN on the starships being a potential drain on population within fleet, and the overall sense of community.

     

     

    My sense of community is somewhat curtailed by the repeated use of "make you dance" mechanics and long load times. I'd be more prone to occasionally head to the fleet to socialize if I didn't feel like I had to be there for anything else.

     

    If people want to socialize, they will, and they'll hang out at the Fleet areas. If they don't, they don't - MMO doesn't mean "we force you to socialize", it should mean - "a game where you can interact with many others at once- if you want to, not because we make you".

     

     

    Of course, that's just my opinion. I don't feel insecure if I'm not surrounded by people. (Not saying anyone here is). But after 6.5 years of Stormwind and Ogrimmar, I could go a lifetime without being surrounded by the kinds of people that usually show up there.

  8. I think there should be 2 ship auction terminals purchasable: one neutral, and one for your faction.

     

    I also think it'd be killer to have a main Legacy crafting interface where you have control over all companions for missions/crafting, all at once. That'd be killer.

     

    And a pony, too. :D

  9. IMO, leave chests the way they are, with a minor change:

     

    If a mob is aggro'd within a certain radius of the chest, that chest become lootable only by the person who taps that mob.

     

    Thus, if you're a high level (or whatever, doesn't want to fight) that finds a chest, you can loot it without killing the mob. But if you tab a boss or mob within that minimum distance, that chest becomes yours if you win the fight with the mob. That way someone can't just be a jerk if you're giving it your best effort.

    In my book that implies more than the odd hundred.

     

     

     

    I think server populations are great. Thank god this isn't like WoW, where every other second you have some idiot trying to make you /dance, or follow you around griefing you, or stealing nodes/resources you're clearing for.

     

    Playing a game like that is like having someone on your left screaming "I LIKE MMOs" and someone on your right punching you in the face repeatedly, and the developers telling you you should be having fun because of it.

     

    So no - I'm very thankful that the servers are the way they are. If you want groups quicker, or PVP matches quicker, ask for a cross-realm group system, not a server merge. You have fun with your grouping, and I'll have fun my way - without some idiot in my face every second because someone thinks "multiplayer" means "PEOPLE IN YOUR FACE EVERY SINGLE SECOND".

  11. General advice:

     

    Making the graphic settings "Low" isn't as important as being selective about how you play with them.

     

    1. Make sure you're not in Windowed mode.

     

    2. Uncheck "Vertical Sync"

     

    3. Uncheck "Bloom"

     

    4. Make sure the resolution you play in matches the resolution of your monitor

     

    If you follow these steps, you probably won't need to buy a new computer. People who suggest it generally are still relying on parental funds (present company in this thread excluded, of course). :D

  12. Some idiots on our server would post 1000x 1 rubat crystals for the entire duration or clog up other searches with some similar stupid posts. Pages upon pages of single items that should be in stacks. Just seems excessive to have that many. Seems to be working fine as is tbh.

     

     

    It sucks the way it is, imo. In regard to posting 1000 rubat crystals - the game can already differentiate between a stackable and nonstackable item. Put a limit on the amount of stackable items one can post (say 25 stacks of whatever amount, 1-99) and then 975 other individual items.

     

    That way your nightmare of some nimrod posting 100000 individual tradegoods won't happen (which, I too, think sucks when it does) and people who are making crafting items and have tons of REAL things to sell can and will.

  13. This recipe is bascially now defunked... its pointless. The same as players still charging 300k for a magenta crystal on GTN, what idiot would buy a pink crystal at only +33 stat when they can get CYAN at 125k from a vendor with a +41 stat which for my sentinal was well worth it and what a saving verses 2x magentas from GTN.

     

    I can easierly afford the schems but im not falling into there trap trying to take away my millions before 1.2 patch. Take that BIoware im gunna horde it soooo much my players going to get a speed debuff for having to many credits.

     

    Now if the schematic was changed with 1.2 to reflect the new LVL 50 stats ie 41!! and not 33 then this would be a different story and bring magenta back to being a viable choice.

  14. The point here is 'DEMAND'. With only 2 days posting period for items demand is totally wrongly defined. Players play on different days and times - on light or standard populated servers that is simply too short.

     

     

    Exactly. Two weeks posting time and a 1000 item limit would be ideal, imo.

  15. The game is not ruined by me when I post a few low level Prototype item modifications on the GTN at fair prices, or any price at all. Especially when NOBODY else is crafting or listing them. :rolleyes:

    The game is also not ruined when I try and post dozens upon dozens of blue quality items that I find when leveling alts.

     

    Between the stuff I find, and the stuff I can produce, I easily have 200 auctions up between four characters. Sure would be nice to have all those auctions run off one character. It'd be even nicer if I could post as many things as I'd like to produce- I don't create half of what I could simply because I can't post it all.

  16. I'm all for free markets...in real life. I am against anything that will allow a handful of people to ruin part of the game for other players, especially newcomers to the game. People are looking only at the limits and how they are effected by them, not at how a lack of limits would effect the health of the game as a whole.

     

    And I'll be honest and admit I think of gearing companions as an after-thought, preferring to gear them with loot and rewards and the occasional crafted item. Few of my comps have mod capable gear...

     

     

    I'm in your auction house, ruining your game.
