How would you go about doing that, considering that same chest piece with defense is good for your class but the other AC?

I buy materials if they cost less than what I would pay to send my alt out on underworld trading missions.

This isn't possible, because purple item recipes are created directly from the stats of a blue item. In the case of armor, there are 3 different blue recipes, and 5 different purple recipes from each blue.

I'm all for an appearance tab, I fully support this because I hate orange armor.

Slicing is literally a profession where you make money, that's all it does.

I wear purple gear in all my slots 90% of the time, it is perfectly itemized for defense/shield and I am able to tank 3-5 players my level because of my gear. I have been doing this all the way to 35, and I have purple gear crafted 3-4 levels in advance for myself. If you feel like being powerful all the way up then synthweaving is very useful. To equal my purple gear, you'd need to fill all of your mod slots with purple mods, and you'd need to go to two different players to do that. It is much, much easier to have great gear as synth.

Hah, I've crafted all of my gear for every slot, and obtained a perfect purple recipe for every piece all the way up to 33. So far I've seen no augment slots for purples, and only used about 4 items with an open augment slot. The entire time, augments are a stupid idea with how rare crafting crits are, and how they arent used in artifact gear at all.

There used to be super valuable resources and slicing nodes, as well as chests with credits and merc commendations every 20-30 minutes. I sat here for a whole day, slicing and crafting, using the GTN and grabbing up stuff. This was the day before the patch, my favourite area was ruined. D:

I use slicing to fund my synthweaving purple crafting.

Actually...you're right, I've crafted a ton of purple gear, and never seen a crit. Maybe that's how purples/oranges are balanced.

Why would I ever need to put credits into the economy? After people started trying to overcharge on the GTN for the UT mats I wasnt getting myself I picked up UT on my alt, and now I'm completely self sufficient, and still have slicing.

Archeology provides all the basic materials you NEED this, or else you wont even be able to make greens. Underworld trading provides the rare materials, sometimes you can buy these on the GTN. But eventually you may need them where there are none around, for this I made an alt with UT, because it is a mission skill, you don't need to level up at all to use it effectively. Putting it on an alt can save your main characters companions for other things.

Well, I've had times where I re-ed 1 item to get a purple, and times where I spent three levels trying to get a purple with no success, eventually just giving up and using a blue crit instead.

I don't really like the current customization system, because I don't like mods. I really don't. Every single piece of gear I'm wearing is snythweaving made and optimized. I re-ed until I got redoubt defense/shield pieces, and they're fantastic. And if/when I have to switch over to filling every piece of gear with three mods from two-three different people I'll be very sad.

All crafted lightsabers are orange, if you were to get an augment slot on a lightsaber, it is only because there would be no other way to obtain one.

Counter-point, all lightsabers you craft are oranges. So its possible those are the exception, since you wouldn't get weapon augments otherwise.

Also, crew returning closing my GTN searchbox needs to stop. Especially with how stupid it is to search for these items.

The forum enforcers have been cracking down all night, I insulted one person several times for being as dense as a brick and all of my relevant posts were deleted, I was given several warnings. Do not mistake hard-handed forum policing for civility. I see way worse things in game chat, but saying "You are an idiot" got me a warning, or two.

/signed Playing a night elf at night or in the early morning in WoW beta was a huge thing for me. It really made the game at launch.

Yeah, I'm way more likely to sit in the fleet with the current system, considering you have to go there to spam for a group. With a lfg tool I can go and do my class quests while waiting, or even watching a global chat of some sort.

If they removed the global cooldown, it wouldn't change this issue at all. This has nothing to do with GCD, as evidenced by the fact that a gcd is present in WoW. Which has the flawless timing down perfectly. I'm willing to say that you're trolling at this point, and to avoid further warnings for calling you things that are evidently true I'm going to stop trying to educate you.

You seem to have no reading comprehension. I will lay it out very simply. A cast time ability takes 3 seconds to cast should allow you to begin another cast as soon as it completes. At the moment, for many abilities, you cannot do anything for an extra period of time, even after the end of this 3 second cast. This makes the current cast time of 3 seconds inaccurate. The fact is, the cast bar, and the gcd have no interaction with this delay period before you can start your next ability.
