  1. It's cool that different people have different opinions. Seems like if we all found the same stuff boring then the game would be full of only one class. Personally, I am loving JK Sentinel. Never played Guardian, so can't comment on those parts of the thread. I found gear for T7 really early. By about level 23 (I think) it was equipped with two moddable cores (DL-2 and DL3, both green items but still moddable) and two moddable motors (WD-47). I picked up two moddable parts (HJ-07) in my early 40s and a moddable sensor mid 40s. I found gearing it was easy since almost every quest had a droid part as a reward. Droid parts were also available on the RGTN and the HCTN (not common, but not rare either). Kira is a very interesting character, a cool street kid with a dark history. Doc is a sleazebag, I don't like his comments and I wish he'd shut up. Still, neither of them are boring. I've never gone out with Rusk or Scourge so can't comment on them. So, horses for courses. :-)
  2. Do you not continue to get Legacy XP at level 50?
  3. Agreed. I want all of Havoc Squad in the same gear. The nice stuff I've found so far (only lvl 23 Trooper) is Commando's, Talon, Outcast. All "Trooper and Jedi Knight" only.
  4. I have been submitting /bug reports and just including what the problem is. On the Customer Service forum I read that we should be typing in player name, class, server name, map name, map coordinates, so on because the tocket system doens't capture these. What stupid bug system doesn't do this? I was assuming that it would automatically capture all of this and more, the way it does in every other MMOG I've played (all five of them). Given how often I get stuck (about once every two or three sessions - what can I say, I like exploring cliffs and jumping off ledges) and how often I see resource nodes buried in the scenery, I think both of these should be added to the list.
  5. Wow, I thought Elara and Kira were hard to buy for but Ashara is even worse. The difference gift behaviour of the "romanceable" companions is infuriating. Trooper: Elara accepts one ++, four + gifts. Aric accepts one +++, one ++, four + gifts. A female trooper romancing Aric means he adds an additional ++ gift. A male trooper romancing Elara means she adds an additional +++ gift. Either way, there are more and better ways of raising Aric's rating than Elara. Roughly the same applies to JK. Bioware, this is a mess. Please clean it up.
  6. I am of the opposite opinion: Refuse to commit, get punished! Stop being a wimp, there's a war on, time to pick a side and make the committment, (and other jingoistic phrases :-)
  7. I don't think you realise how much work goes into animation. Making animations involves humans with ping pong balls glued to their bodies actually doing the moves in a motion-capture studio. Actors wearing mocap suitas are actually running, fighting, swinging swords and so on. That's not exactly something that can be done for Ithorians. Nonverbal communication for humans is easy. We know what facial expressions and movements denote anger, sadness, rage, and so on. How do you know when an Ithorian is angry? When a Rodian is lying? When a Trandoshan is pensive? What does a guilty expression look like on a Bothan? What does a crafty expression lok like on a Jawa? Yes, the programmers could certainly make up things like this but how would we, the players, know? We can relate to humanoids but not to aliens. Imagine Finding Nemo with fish faces instead of human-like fish faces. Imagine Cars with no faces on the cars.
  8. I like the time limit. It stops the stuff that doesn't sell from clogging it up even more (like white items - seriously folks, stop posting white items for sale!). I would like to see it increased to 3 days, however, that way I can post items on Friday night (my time) and have them in the trade network all weekend in both my timezone and the US timezones. As for the bidding, please no. Auctions work fine when you have the time to sit and watch the bids (like buying a house or some fish at the market). They don't work when all you want is to buy something and move on. Personally, if there is not a "Buy Now" button them I move on. I don't want to spend the next 6 hours on the fleet bidding, losing, retrieving cash from the mailbox then bidding again. Alternatively: Let us have an autobid system. Alternatively (and better): let us bid from anywhere, using our holocommunicators. If Dark Lords of the Sith can contact my Jedi Knight via holocom then why can't she contact a trade network? Even better: let us have a trade network for requests. I want to be able to post "I want 20 [Desh], I'm paying 15cr each" and have sellers of Desh choose to fulfil my order request.
  9. I have just noticed the keybinds for target markers as well. Cheers, Bioware.
  10. Please allow us to remove the "Unlock Bars" and 'Customise UI" buttons from the interface entirely, so they can't be accidentally clicked on. Make them accessible from the Esc menu or from keybinds.
  11. It is worse than the post suggests. I don't use WASD for movement; I use IJKL. The move ship up/down keys are now I and K but the move left/right are still Q and E (or is it A and D). In other words, the keybinds are completely useless.
  12. My Artificer at the moment, who has almost ignored one of the thigns Artificers can maek, already has 241 items she can make. It's never going to be easy to share such a list.
  13. Quickbar 5 is the Cover bar. When an Agent or Smuggler drops into Cover then bar 5 will replace bar 1. =When they leave Cover, bar 1 comes back.
  14. I regret creating a Twi'lek. If I had known how bad the helmet issues would be (either clipping or just not appearing at all) then I would never have created one. In 3 levels I'm going to unlock a Legacy race of Twi'lek that I will never use. If I could pay to change the race of that character before I reach 50 then I would. I regret not keeping the Cyborg I created in Early Access. A lot of the cyborg face jewellery dissapeared from the game and is no longer available.
  15. If you choose to play on a PVP server you will get bullied. Not often, mind you, but it will happen. One or more level X characters will beat up your level (less than X) character with no chance of escape or fighting back or doing anything except swear at the computer screen as your character is defeated. If you are not willing for this to happen to you then play on a PVE server. On a PVE server you can still take part on consensual PVP if you want but it is your choice to turn your PVP flag on and off. If you do choose to play PVP then be willing to communicate. You have to be active in chat so that when bullies do gank you then you can get friends to come and cover your back. Also, of cours,e you have to be willing to leave off your questing to go help others who are being bullied.
  16. I'm going to disagree slightly with you there. The dye kits were pretty good but did some bizarre things. For example, I had a nice set of chainmail armour I dyed blue. It came out striped! I looked like Wally! Since there was no dye preview at that time, my money (dark blue dye was expensive) was wasted. Now, with that out of the way, yes, I agree with the OP. Bioware, please add a dye system.
  17. That was pretty much my experience on such servers. One NWN1 server had xp penalties of 50XP per level. So my level 14 character took a hit of 700xp per death. Each mob killed gave you 4-12 xp. Mobs were never encountered singly, always in groups. Killed mobs respawned in tens of seconds - if you were slow fighting a group the the group behind you would respawn and come and spank you. Death also cost gold, so if you were dying then you couldn't save money for better the gear. Even if you could, the gear was all level dependant (the best a level 14 could get was +1 items). End result: I left the server after several months of stagnation. XP debt is OK but I never, ever, want to see my character in a game going backwards.
  18. As far as the game is concerned, that is the correct capitalisation. :-( The game capitalises the first letter and lowercases all the rest. Your legacy name will be the same, so choose wisely when you get to that point.
  19. Possibly both. If you are playing on a PVP ruleset server then you accept that sometimes you will be bullied. If you are not willing to put up with this then don't play on PVP servers - that is what PVE servers are for.
  20. I am the opposite. Coived games have spoilt other games for me. I only use the space bar when I've been through the content many times. Some voices, however, I never skip (Jennifer Hale, I am in love with your voice).
  21. More information. What didnt work? Also, this might be a silly question, but is the class capable of using offhand weapons?
  22. I think of it another way. Levelling up additional characters is a given in a MMOG, especially a story-driven one. The Legacy feature gives us some extras which we don't get in other games, on top of the different storylines.
  23. Lightsabers (single- and double-bladed), shield generators, power generators, focuses.
  24. I recall a developer post here talking about the "Leia kissing rule". They will only have playable races that Princes Leia would seriously consider snogging. Additionally, given the hassles of helmets and masks for Twi'Lek and Pureblood Sith, do you really want to see Ithorians? (Speaking personally, yes, but you get my point).
