  1. I'm sorry Keith, but its really hard to believe this with the faulty track record both EA, Bioware, and even devs themselves have had over the years. We were promised NiM R-4, upon many other things that we never got. Broadsword online has an even worse track record, all their games are in maintenance mode, waiting to die. The community needs more than just a "things are gonna get better", rather, give us new information. Maybe even bring back new raid content. Also, NiM ToS exists in the files, as does NiM EV/KP, we should bring those back.
  2. Well here's the good news. We're never getting another raid again! So you have all the time in the world to practice R-4, and get good enough to clear it!
  3. Thank you for clarifying this, Eric. This is what should have happened on the livestream. I appreciate the honesty. A suggestion to hold the raiders over, perhaps run back NiM KP/EV. You all still have those files. Also another suggest for the wings of Nihrot, please make them easier to get.
  4. GSF should not be a part of pvp. These are not the same playerbase, and it will reduce the amount of participation because nobody wants to do GSF. AT MOST it should be an optional thing, not a required one.
  5. Nobody wants GSF as part of the pvp objective. Don't make this decision or you'll lose even more subs than you did when you decided to skip out on R-4. Absolutely do NOT make this a requirement to complete a season.
  6. Hey there, a GTN overhaul sounds very interesting, and if done right could really help the game. Here is my GTN feedback What do you like about how the GTN currently functions? It is generally easy to find exactly what you want, and since the cap is under 1bil it is easy to pick up cheap items such as consumables, crafting mats, even augments, armor sets, some dyes. The system itself is functionally very good. What do you dislike about how the GTN currently functions? The GTN cap is too low, it leaves many rare items off the market place and forces us to buy from scalpers in general chat (Which BTW are running bot accounts to farm credits, I have names) I can't leave my items up for more than 3 days Is there anything you wish you could do on the GTN that you cannot do currently? Buy higher value items Are there any specific filters, searches, or ways of finding items you particularly like or that you wish existed? Item rating (for augments or gear pieces) There should also be a wishlist for things you want and the game can notify you when it shows up on the GTN What kinds of information do you use to decide when to make a purchase? If you could have more information what would you want? I have a rough estimate for how much I should spend on things, usually 1-2bil for a plat, 4bil for a hypercrate, such and such. Its just accepted values in the community. ALSO HERE IS A WORD OF ADVICE ON FIXING THE ECONOMY. When you ban the people botting credits into the system and laundering credits, inflating the economy. LEAVE THEM BANNED. A few of the worst players got unbanned and inflation is already making a turn for the worst again. I have information on this, and you are welcome to reach out to me personally.
  7. Compared to an existing server, how is the performance? It feels fine. I didn't have any connectivity issues throughout my time there. Any specific areas or planets where you feel the performance has lessened? Nowhere I noticed What region/country do you reside in? East Coast USA Provide a comparison of ping from existing servers to Shae Vizla. on Star Forge/Satele Shan I average about 10-15ms on Shae Vizla I was at 220ms (its an APAC server so its understandable) Is grouped content working properly? As far as I know How quickly can you get into a match or Flashpoint you’ve accepted? My CPU is gassed, load times are wild Is travel to any location (planet, Stronghold, Fleet, etc…) hindered? No Are there any issues with the UI such as missing assets or loss of functionality? No Are there any issues with visuals or sounds with the cinematics? No
  8. So I'm going to give you some logic here, take it or leave it. SWTOR is a mmo, meant to be played in groups. It is very easy to find people to play with if you are even somewhat of a half bearable person. Hence, making friends is the solution to the premade problem. Make friends, queue against premades, now pvp is fair again. Through the power of positivity and friendship, the premade problem is solved. Unless you have issues making friends, of course, I know you forum warriors have some trouble with that. If you can't play well with others, I'm sorry that your kindergarten teacher forgot that lesson, and MMOs may not be the setting for you. I suggest games like jumpstart preschool or webkinz.
  9. Hey gamers. I wanted to make this show on the dev tracker as well, because myself and a couple others came up with a LOT of great ways to create credit sinks in the game without taking away from other undeserving people. I have them categorically listed below. Ideas for reducing credit inflation Increase Taxes - Increase GTN cap so people use it - Increase the GTN tax - Add a tax for players when they trade credits Better Rewards - Add item to double tech fragment/catalyst gain from all content - Add item to increase drop chance on rare items in flashpoints/operations (consumable, used 1 per instance) Reputation - Add vendors to the game that sell reputation items for large sums of credits - Add items to allow players to bypass the weekly reputation limit - Alternatively, add option to allow players to directly buy reputation for credits Gathering Nodes - Add credit cost to use one. (Also would help inhibit gold farmers) Cartel Market/Collections/Item Related - Add the option to buy cartel market certificates for credits - Add a tax for taking an item out from collections - Increase prices of items in the cartel bazaar - Add all cartel market items to the market to decrease rarity - Allow for the purchase of RPM/OEMs for credits Galactic Seasons/PVP Seasons - Allow for the purchase of PVP Tokens/Seasons tokens with credits - Allow players to skip to level 25 of pvp seasons for higher amounts of credits - Allow players to skip to level 100 of galactic seasons for higher amounts of credits Story - Allow for players to purchase titles for credits if they skipped those points in the story - Have all story skips cost credits, and add one to start in the Manaan storyline Character Customization - Ability to change gender Operations - If you have a mount/title that drops from an operation on one character, you can pay to have the item unlocked on one other character.
  10. So, I'm gonna go point by point here and give you my opinion, as I am likely the "NA sales team" you are referring to. 1) The only thing we haven't yet sold was 8m NiM Gods, I repeat. WE HAVE NOT SOLD IT POST 7.0! We do believe we can do it without account sharing though, and will be trying it soon. Please PM me information for the other NA team. 2) Anybody who does money via in game missions is an idiot. Abuse our over inflated crafting system, you'll make a lot more in the augment market. It is also pretty easy to buy a cartel market item, and sell it on fleet. This is how you make money. 3) I'm not gonna deny things that I know happened. However, none of the sales teams (That I am affiliated with) have "true" money prices. 4) <Who Cares>
  11. Since we got a new sales thread, might as well make me a post. Currently, my sales group is offering all achievements outside of 8M Nightmare Gods and the marks of mastery achievements called "The Cleanest of Kills" and "Agile Avoidance". All are done abiding by the terms of service (which means no account pilots or RMT required! Your risk of getting banned is 0%) Currently, we are the longest standing sales team with multiple years of experience. Sales are currently open on Star Forge, and to a varying degree on Satele Shan. 12. yea, I'm also a programmer, not as long as you obviously so I'm not gonna come out here and deny everything you said. I was just wondering if this was a route they were thinking of going in.
  13. People already sell stuff for high prices, a higher limit won't stop that lmao. Just means less trades and less scams. It is not hard to survive this economy
  14. Hey Jackie. Out of curiosity, if the game is moving to 64-bit, does that mean the credit cap will be increased from 2^32 (4.29 billion) to 2^64 (Nearly unlimited?) due to the 32 bit integer limit being gone? I think it would be a tremendous help if so
  15. Do you think you'll PvP more or less than you did before the update? I'll probably queue some arenas, I enjoy that type of gameplay Do the rewards on the reward track make you want to PvP specifically to earn them? Not the new rewards, but I'm gonna be farming those tokens Do you think you'll queue for 8v8 Warzones or 4v4 Arenas equally? No, I hate 8v8, it gets very one-sided too quickly Do you feel the new Warzone medals will encourage objective play? Probably not, since people just do damage farm in mid for fun Is it clear how to earn PvP points and progress the Season reward track? Yes, it is very simple, and I like it What is your overall impression of the changes to the PvP season system? I think it solves many of the major pvp problems, but there were certainly better options. For example, a competitive pvp player (not me), doesn't really have a good goal to work towards anymore. What do you like the most about the changes to the PvP season system? Mainly just being able to do reg arenas without the risk of getting huttball. That's a nice change What do you like the least about the changes to the PvP season system? That completing the "Season 1" achievements require me to play huttball. What is one change or adjustment you would like to make on the new PvP Season system, what would it be, and why? The amount of weeklies to complete and how many matches to complete to get a weekly. I did the math and realized that you'd need to pvp to meet said requirements is obscene. A season is projected to be about four months. This means a season would be about 16 weeks. Currently, you need 25 of each weekly which is 50 total, meaning that every week you need to complete 3-4 weeklies per week to meet the objective (on top of seasons objectives and anything else we do in swtor). With the size of the weekly, this seems like a bit much. Especially since from what I heard the weekly for warzones is 24 points with wins counting for 3. You could lose huttball over and over again and have to play 24 games of huttball to clear one weekly, then do that twice to meet your requirement (48 warzones). I don't know the logic for arenas but it follows similar logic. The expectation for how much pvp we have to do is just vastly absurd. My suggestion: For the season 1 achievement, lower it to like 10 weeklies so we can get by doing only one of each weekly per week. Other suggestion: Make these weeklies not take 24 losses of warzones to get. At the very minimum it should be halved, so that losing 12 huttballs gets you a clear, or 4 wins.
  16. For your points here, someone would have had to clear IP-CPT HM in 330 gear to obtain a watchdog lockout on the first day. Its not like a magical watchdog lock appeared from nowhere. The fight is not hard, it just requires players to be better. (Remember Tyth on release?)
  17. Alright, let's go step by step. This is my personal point of view as a nightmare raider obviously who progresses content on release. Do you feel your group was able to progress in power through the Operation? - Yes, it was very easy. Do you think improvements could be made to make it easier to progress as a group? If so, what do these improvements look like? - Honestly? Felt just about right. The only thing that really needed to be adjusted is forcing regular comps on all the fights so people couldn't cheese with 5 or 6 dps to clear. This would likely require a fix to IP-CPT to make tanks required Do you like the look of these armor sets? - I think the virulent sets are hilarious. Its about time we get scuba suits in swtor Did you attempt to clear The R-4 Anomaly to earn these armor sets? - Since I was able to clear the raid consistently, blue tokens were useless to me. I bought the sets using the tokens I had, but I can't say they were the goal since the cosmetics were the same as the raid armor. Is there anything you’d like to see from future Operations armors? - Give an exclusive weapon set that looks super cool and isn't a reskin. Or shiny armor like we had from Dxun. Do you like the look of this mount? - I'm one of the lucky few who has one, I quite like it. Did you attempt to clear The R-4 Anomaly to earn this mount? - It wasn't my primary goal, but it was after I was fully geared. My raid team got very lucky and had 3 back-to-back drops. Is there anything you’d like to see from future Operations mounts? - Kanoth was a bit too easy of a fight to warrant the mount drop. Even if it was off theme, it should have dropped from Dominique since she is the last boss. At the moment there is no cosmetic reward for repeated Dominique clears, leaving most people to just farm Kanoth. I'm fine with the drop rates because I know the mount will be present again in Nightmare, and hopefully it will be from Dominique or the timed run. Did you want to upgrade your Hazardous gear? - Funny enough the dps relics are BiS for tank, so I did upgrade these. How quickly were you able to upgrade your Hazardous gear? - WAY too fast Was Hazardous gear helpful in completing The R-4 Anomaly? - Not really, raid was easy enough in 330 gear. Closing opinions - I don't think there should be an alternate gearing path in the future. Hazardous gear mostly took away from a key point that I know you all like to avoid. Many raid groups struggled on IP-CPT and Dominique, so they farmed out Watchdog and Kanoth until reaching full 340 with the usage of the blue tokens, without ever needing to clear the first and last boss. I know this is unintentional since you guys aren't exactly fans of us farming small pieces of content in order to gear, (IE: Toborros, Nefra, Dash'roode). However on the flip side, I think a gearing method such as Hazardous gear would be a great thing to add say a few months after as a way to help the groups who struggled to gear up the normal way, the same way we often got an augment tier in the past after a raid release. - The mount. For starters, I don't think it should have been present in Hard Mode of a raid unless it was a reward for a limited time clear (aka Bane of Izax style). I would have supported it more if it was "Clear Dominique within a week or so of release and you get the legacy title and the mount legacy unlocked". I still believe even then, it should be dropping off the final boss in order to better serve as a reward for clearing the apex content of the game, since there is no reason for me to do Dominique unless its a sale run. For Nightmare, I very heavily suggest its tied to the last boss and/or timed run and/or meta achievement. - Raid comps. Some of the fights had a couple flaws that encouraged the usage of non-standard raid comps. I also know you all don't like this, I have some ideas though that can help the raid be more balanced towards a 2-4-2 standard comp if you'd like to hear it.
  18. People of the SWTOR Forums. I heard rumors that people thought doing HM IP-CPT with a normal comp was "impossible". I am here today to tell you that nothing in swtor is impossible, the same still applies to this raid boss. Enjoy: Generally when groups are learning the fights, they may not understand it, and draw the conclusion that a fight is too difficult. This is how progression works, you get better at a fight as you do it. If you don't, might be a skill issue. For those of you unable to adapt and overcome, I give you the sales discord, we currently sell everything available in HM R-4, including marks of mastery now Sales Discord: https://discord.gg/RwvFamG2cg
  19. Gonna give you a quick perspective here since its a comment on gear. In both WoW and FFXIV, the max gear comes as a reward from doing the hardest content in the game. BW messed up for the past couple expansions by not doing the same thing, the content is balanced for you to clear in gear that can be obtained from any other source (you can get 330 from all content save pvp atm). In SWTOR, people are just upset that gear now takes effort. Gear is the reward, not the requirement. Remember that
  20. So, I'm gonna weigh in as I'm the one in charge here. We currently have no systems in place that allow buyers to buy credits from our sellers. Even if we did, I value my account over the small amount of money I'd make off it. Its simply not worth it to us. I know of a former team member who used to do it as his primary source of income, but he is no longer with us. I'd like to reiterate this as well. We are also not responsible for how buyers obtain their credits, and keep in mind sale runs don't increase the amount of credits existing in the economy. Its simply passing them around. Many of those who replied to this thread were people I recognized as my buyers as well, those who were in support of sales. I'm assuming this thread was created by a player who was upset about not being able to afford sales, and wants them gone.
  21. Let me ask you a few simple questions, would you rather be playing a raid that is unfinished and not ready for release, that is horribly unfun because of it? Or would you rather be patient and get something amazing? I'm also a player who believed 6.0 was the worst thing to ever plague this game (right next to the no raid expansion known as 4.0). I understand being upset, I understand the fact that you feel like you deserve better. There are not many people working on these raids, and this game is damn impressive for the amount of people who work on it. Going back to the raid that should have been ready, game companies fall behind on schedule, this is especially the case in swtor. Nightmare Dxun was also delayed by about a month or so to help it become playable. They set out to release 7.0 with certain aspirations, and they could not get everything done before they said. This was communicated through the forums near perfectly, with the fact that they'd need extra time to make 7.0 playable, time to make stuff such as weapon outfitter work, and extra time to build R-4. Its just a simple part of development, they need time. Even the Dragonsong raid in final fantasy got delayed by a year because it wasn't ready. THIS HAPPENS. Remember Cyberpunk 2077? How long that got delayed? Valeo was likely removed due to similarities to the Umbara train boss. I don't think I need to explain myself further on why this was such a great choice. For your experience with Dominique, just because you slowed damage, it doesn't mean you actually executed an early mechanic that pushes the phase forward properly. It sounds like you guys sat and waited for them all to happen rather than executing them to push to later stages of the fight. "Roll over the content" - You overestimate the effect of gear. At most we are getting 350 item levels. Keep this in mind as well, to get the new gear, players will still have to clear the current content in current gear. As someone who has had the legacy raids on farm for years, my only interest in doing them is to sell them. We already cleared the bundle within the first couple weeks before even hitting 330. Also, you called my sale runs "dirty runs". Common in all MMOs speech goes here. 242 went to 248. This honestly barely changed who was clearing raids and who were not 248 to 258, yea this changed a bit of who could clear raids. It was a lot easier, but I wouldn't call it faceroll easy for anyone. Sure, our gear increases are a little higher with augments this tier, but I don't think we'll reach a level where we can stomp on every raid. I think that is just delusion and/or trying to find talking points that are quite meaningless in terms of our little discussion. Another thing they also wrote initially with the removal of nim crystals. It was specifically stated that we will eventually become a lot more powerful than we could achieve in 6.0 - This is something they told us. So yes, inevitably we will be more powerful than 306 garbo scaling + crystals. This won't happen at item level 350, but perhaps later on. Innovation: Compare these bosses to their counterparts in Dxun. Are these not more complex, interesting, innovative, just more going on, more cool things to do? Each boss in this raid has its own niche, rather than being just a tank&spank, or whatever else. Gods was also announced to not have a NiM initially (I may have had a typo in my original post), we went into SM/HM expecting HM to be the most we got. We also got that limited time event for HM Izax, making it seem like that was it. NiM was indeed a pleasant surprise from Keith. (IF you read this Keith i love you). Also your stance on bugginess of a PTS raid. PTS means Public TEST Server. There are gonna be bugs, we are there to find them, then report them. PTS wasn't made for us to raid for fun and do progression. Final thoughts, we are also currently having our discussion on the forum thread where Jakkie posts about PTS updates. This is where the communication happens. I never felt in the dark about things here. If you are this upset about the game, I suggest not playing it anymore. Spreading your type of energy and frankly just being rude towards the people who are honestly trying their best here is simply ugly. Nobody is forcing you to play this game, and its population is still very healthy even with delays.
  22. Alright. Time for a Pres post When it comes to delays on content, I don't think we should be complaining. When Bioware rushes content is when it comes out with a ton of bugs. Trust me, give them the time they need so that we can get something that's fun. When it comes to R-4, please for the love of god give them time. Remember, Dxun was released with 6.0, and that raid remained a buggy mess all the way through nightmare. Let them do whatever they need to do to make R-4 the best raid it can be, I'd rather wait for a great raid then not wait and get a barely clearable mess. Here's my opinion on Valeo next. I know we all miss Valeo, but removing him was the right choice. Here's what we knew about him, he was going to take place in a similar arena to the first boss of Umbara, and there were many clickable objects as well. TLDR: This fight was gonna be laggy, and it was gonna be very buggy, and all around not a great time. It was an ambitious boss, and it would be really cool if we could see it, (Maybe even as a Nightmare only boss). They made the right choice to not include him, the raid is much improved if every boss works. Let's talk about the endboss now. It is on its first iteration on PTS, much is likely to change so being all "this fight bad" is frankly just pure idiocy. Currently, since it is also a SM boss, it dies during its early phases, meaning you actually never get to see the mechanics that make the fight quite a bit more complex. You can also clear storymode without even doing the mechanics. It will improve in HM, trust. 340 gear. I mean this just means I can do sales again. When it comes to power level, 340 gear STILL won't make us even close to as powerful as we were in 6.0, meaning everything for the fact of the matter is still fine in terms of scaling. Sure it will be easier, but it still will be harder than it was in last expansion. Another reminder, in 5.0 we went from 242 max to 258 max throughout the expansion, and even with that the 6.0 expansion was still easier. Augments will obviously increase our output too, but like I said, whatever. I wouldn't worry about not getting NiM either, we always get NiM, they plan to do NiM. Gods wasn't supposed to get a NiM and it did anyways, Dxun had one planned from the start, and as is R-4. I trust we will get nightmare, the HM fights are built in a way to where we know they have room to add things for NiM. The devs communicate, your last statement is objectively false for the most part. Surely it can be improved, but they do talk. I've gotten many of my ideas into the game by this point, and many of them were a big deal. I did this by giving my opinions as not a forum babyrage. I assure you this game is currently fine, people are just taking breaks until 7.1, and they will be back for 7.1 and beyond.
  23. Earlier today myself and some friends were raiding, all of our classes were working as intended without any problems. However, we also are now encountering a problem with our classes themselves Vengeful slam is no longer spreading the dots searing wave is no longer spreading incendiary missile Similar effect seen for now every class that has dots that can be spread Virulence corrosive grenade no longer does anything at all Severing slash on assassin/cleaving cut on shadow also now hits friendly targets Currently my group is testing various other classes to see if the same behavior occurs. This starting happening a few minutes before your post What we figured out In regs pvp matches, our spreads were consistently not working In open world on Oricon, our spreads were working (not a new instance) In Dread Fortress story mode, dot spreads were NOT working We think its related to being an instance, since both times our spreads wouldn't work they were inside either a regs game or a story mode raid
  24. So I'm one of these people in one of the higher end guilds, who understands gearing and how it makes a difference. I know what item levels the first groups of 7.0 were clearing in as well as my own. Please enlighten me on which guilds FULLY cleared a nightmare raid in only 320
