  1. And if you want to be really cynical- there might be a content release announcement designed to celebrate the end of the game. Anthem's launch was never going to get SWTOR TLC, whichever way this goes.
  2. SM Queen is an undertuned keyboard faceroll that needs a buff.
  3. I think the real issue is more the hollowing out of the middle tier of raiding as in people and skill wise through the aforementioned, chapter trash. Even now, I'm looking at screenshots from Anthem and 'masterwork' items and cringing hard- I think it's hard for people to be patient when they know any day the real maintenance mode could kick in. I'm waiting for my sub to run out in mid March but part of my departure is when you have no set group and this is what you can run into, people who aren't used to progression, don't touch PvP unless it's a crystal weekly but have this shiny gear. People who run on perfect latency/ping but can't get a grip on mechanics they have increased time to react to. Story mode Queen creating more of these, faster and making it so much harder for those of us in the hardmare/nightmare progression bracket. It irritates me people cry about casuals making up the lionshare of revenue because why would they force raiders to pay a subscription to raid, period. I don't believe that- raiders are an integral part of bringing revenue into this game or they wouldn't have subscription gated raids entirely so they can't be this 0.000 'insert percentage pulled out of nowhere' of the population.
  4. It's to the point where you get angry at the idea these Influencers were given heads up over the West Coast server shutdown. The eight medal crystal for me was a reminder that PvP used to be something for me and part of a perfect storm that made me call time, despite almost having a month left of sub time. When you have to kill yourself to be on to raid at all the right times and so much else, I didn't realize how much I used to PvP in my downtime to unwind and importantly, see different things. There's so many little things that went wrong and soured for me on Monday for me to nail down simply one issue. All the respect to Trixxie, if the two subs help you play PvP as APAC but I think simply trialling the ping reducer program- I'd reinstall just to obliterate my legacy and never come back to the game. These influencers did not do their job when it came to fighting for APAC region which I think has a much bigger factor in why Satele Shan's ended up being the server on the population backfoot and why they lost more than APAC from the game entirely. We were part of a picture which included Americans who played at certain times. As for special treatment- no because it fundamentally taints a perspective which allows you to get an accurate insight- it's no different to gaming journalism and how buying them out does not ensure a healthy playerbase for your game.
  5. 'snickers'... I don't know where people get this idea SWTOR will be helped or hurt either way.
  6. The issue is here SM Queen is scaled far too low- and with the combined might of bolster and tuned at the original SM DPS/HPS requirements, the queen on SM is the biggest joke in the game you get better gear drops in than any other Op in the game, sans NiM Gods. SM Queen needs to be fixed outright or have the 252 gear drops stripped off it- there's no reason for an SM Op that only requires you to mash your head into your keyboard to drop NiM level gear when every other NiM, sans Gods drops 248 at the highest. HM Queen is 252 gear tuned- it doesn't require nerfs or buffs as is because it's meant as a VM Op- a NiM version should be released if people want the 258 mainhand to have higher requirements.
  7. I was going to make a long, wordy post but instead I'm going to make this shorter. There are many raiders who are supporting the endgame community and training players- trying to keep people in game and without them, I'd have immediately have stopped playing after hitting a referral link in November instead of falling to inevitability and what ended up being my final straw, learning a new role in a HM wasn't a bad note today and was the one bright spot. Instead of rewards and bonuses for clearing content with new players which haven't cleared it, per legacy- it's all on them. They put so much effort in and certainly aren't cheering the new gearing system where you can get 252 drops from an SM boss easier than Soa. They get the blame for the Ossus grind the 'devs' are responsible for, the botched gearing system pitting PvP against PvE which is Bioware's fault alone. The endgame community as a whole has kept this game alive and my point is those who run Ops deserve better than to get blamed for the state and direction of the game and the constant dev issues. You give Bioware a pass every time you do that. Addendum: You may not have my stuff. It will be useless in 6.0 or vanish with my characters when the game dies first.
  8. I'm glad my lapse of wits has amused many. I know- it's the left sides on five healers that are killing me- oh and the character who had two pieces to upgrade where I forgot to buy an extra crystal before weekly reset. I have paid the price for my lack of vision.
  9. I sadly debunked my own misheard theory and am feeling quite embarrassed how desperate I am for the correct left sides that I entertained the notion Bioware put a puzzle in the game which would help us gear. It's not the stupidest thing I've done today...
  10. Hey, I'm trying on all my healers in library cause I need relics the most but I'd rather ask and get told no than get all my relics and there being a way to go for implants/ear over anything else.
  11. As titled, the gear boxes you get from the Ossus weekly- I ask this because I remembered something vaguely about relics and library, chose the right box and opened it there, and got a relic drop. If it is and someone knows the locations, could they please tell me- thank you.
  12. I think they had some serious data table issues (also probably affecting sith warriors since my mara is now fine) which was what was breaking stuff in game and it was serious enough to warrant an immediate fix as to maintain game stability.
  13. I have to agree- when you are spending much on your gear and it's always into legacy pieces, you're number crunching- figuring out how much a stat anyone else could run easily becomes an issue of diminishing returns because of latency and figuring out every avenue to get the most out of your class and gear- I mean, the PvP crowd are the only ones with the rights to complain. I'm still wondering what anyone, outside of raiding and PvP, needs with 258 main/offhand. The worst thing for me is that my main's mirror class has different main and offhand- it's life. I'm hoping to get away with having a 258 set bonus with 248 relics to run it (252 ear/implants/main offhand) to run it because that'll make the grind easier since I'd really like to keep my total grind down because the crazy thing is for people, I've been looking forward to this since before knowing about the main or offhand. I want to be able to enjoy this boss for a while. I think 6.0 needs expertise gear in warzones again or some sort of gear sync that caps the level of gear brought in but as for people who don't play PvP or raid- the 258 main/offhand are completely useless, you aren't missing out and you should be focused on those stupid decoration requirements than overkill weapons.
  14. I would like to be able to just use Origin to purchase my sub time since I can do it in my own currency- you still own the store so would be making the profits off it for your own. Thank you.
  15. I remember when I was that naive. The game won't get a whole group of new subs- it needs to live long enough to get a tiny boost from IX, that it comes out at the end of this year might be too long for SWTOR.
  16. Tin foil hat much? If this HM/NiM only gear grinding was a thing, they'd have changed NiM/HM drops and not put in the Ossus grind as a thing because trust me, Keith's guild wouldn't love him for gear that a) they all had to waste time on Ossus for and b) that some solo player who uses their basic attack key can pick up and gear any of. I want PvP and PvE gear separated and a merge between Star Forge and Satele Shan so instead of losing more people, we keep who we've got.
  17. This is what gets me when people run their mouth about the new gear, for me it's a gap closer in PvE content (it's really fun to be progging NiM with a sporadic red bar/ uneven latency) and I'd have happily stayed 242-248 with 65 ms/four bars. I'm serious here- the US players can have the top tier gear and I'll take their latency/lag. I can PvP all the time again as unlike Trixxie, I refuse to pay for two subs to play one game. Everybody wins!
  18. Oh my god- the sheer stupid when you get into the Ossus WB groups, I hate running at the the best of times but it's what you have to do but the DPS who die on the droid at near full health and just stay dead there. And then there's the absolute special people who start forming a group and then ditch it to go run their dailies.
  19. Disclaimer: Not on the PTS- my thoughts. I don't mind the idea of a new hardmare boss, mechanics in point rather than the gear part personally because like a lot of people, I'll be doing it on the same pace as them and the required times to get what I need and learning it inside and out. Keep the mechanics intact- I'd actually like it if you put all mechanics back into VM operations. As for the 252 gear- this is a VM boss and should be tuned to the same gear as VM Gods. If you want to gate 258 mainhand/offhands, make a MM version of this raid tuned to 252 gear but sometimes I think the devs forget the most important part. You can't even raid in story mode without a subscription so the only explanation I have is they think that it'll slow the returning NiM raiders down and they'll stick around longer. Most of the players I know on the PTS are the NiM raiders, many of whom can do all kinds of things undergeared so tuning a fight around the numbers it would take to give them more of a challenge isn't tuning a VM encounter. It's tuning a MM encounter. The only reason you'll lose them again is if you intend to have another raid drought and by that stage, you'll already have lost the VM raiders (of whom there's already a much diminished population) who I have to say are right- I want to do NiM but I know there are people happy at that level. Some VM raiders go onto MM after cycling through VM content and by shrinking the percentage of VM players through a lack of content, you shrink down the population of MM players who naturally cycle out and those who leave because there's no one to raid with. It's not their job to sit there after paying their subs and teach a dozen VM raiders in the hopes that one will do MM content so they can do the content they enjoy and pay for, after a few have progressed. A healthy middle ground in the raiding community sustains SWTOR's raiding at large for the spaces between content release and no, that's not an excuse for another content drought.
  20. Or maybe the entire game doesn't revolve around Conquest? I mean, the server maintenance has always traditionally fell around APAC prime time even when there was a significant community there- it also affects the European players. They choose the time easiest for them to the least harm and we all have to live with it, regardless how much you want to complain about how it 'hurts your conquest' for them to keep the game running. That's one of the things I don't mind paying a subscription for- not for them to create new issues to cater to Conquest losing, like the rest of us, six hours.
  21. Yes! As a healer who does HM and is getting her toes wet in NiMs, it is beyond ridiculous when I don't like healing SMs at the best of times that I can't even get credit for HMs on my healers...you gave us 'Take Them Down' as a Conquest objective, it's fairer to allow us to do harder content for the same reward. You can key it so that it's only HM/NiM that count for any Operation as opposed to SM which you can keep as GF required. Also, the fact the weekly is bound to starting Ossus as well as that the 252 gear boxes aren't legacy wide I feel should be changed to be more legacy friendly.
  22. Because everybody loves stabbity healers? I love my little stabby healers.
  23. Repair bills, raiding supplies, crafting/augments and the like, the rare cosmetic thing and setting up new characters. I don't really spend them unless there's something I need to. I don't really spend credits much and I tend to craft and buy/sell advantageously or shortcut and buy a popular item off the CM because I don't feel like doing anything. Mostly, I just leave them until I need them- like when I bought and unlocked a stronghold to hit 150% because I don't enjoy grinding for my mats.
  24. I think people are worried which is why I hear people talking down Anthem. There's every reason between a resounding success with Anthem and the cost of the Star Wars license that SWTOR might finally cross over into game/server costs outweighing income. It doesn't bother me because if SWTOR can't survive this, it doesn't deserve to. It's actually a good thing that IX will release so late in the year for this reason so instead of leaning on a main film which by all likelihood will knock it out of the park to make up for VIII- SWTOR has to justify its existence. I've said this before. Star Wars games are not in the same league as the films and SOLO managed to crash and hard- they have to earn the name, not the other way around.
  25. No, emphatically no. I happen to deeply dislike it when people are rude enough to try and snipe me from whatever guild I'm in without any warning- I don't think they need the added help that they can blind invite.
