  1. Sub briefly and come to peek into the forum. I haven't done 6.1 yet but I know Erik been complaining about not playing Arcann for a long time now. I hope they bring everyone back and write enough dialogues to make it worth everyone's time. So far my Arcann content is served in Dragon Prince.
  2. I've killed her and can't claim her on console though.
  3. After JUS, I received a lot of mails from Pro-Republic comps voicing their dissatisfaction. I will be fine if they left the Alliance in the story. There should be more definite consequences to your actions. People were mad because they use these characters for crew skill farming... and for some stupid "if class comp was optionally dead, there will be no romance content! RAAAGEEE".
  4. The way I see it, Malgus is closely following Darth Sion's arc. He wouldn't allow himself to be someone's pet let alone your character. It would be interesting to see the outcome. I personally think romancing Scourge to be beyond vile.
  5. I thought the new companions was because people were complaining about Lana and Theron show (now that Theron was optionally dead, Lana show, I guess). Frankly, I was taken back when Anri recognized my Wrath and said something about working together and been trying to think when does that happen. I've been doing Ossus daily every day now (along with Iokath's Republic). And frankly, I feel Ossus was written better than the ones on Iokath. I adore all crystal decos drops btw. But it's simple enough to make everyone engaged at least and it didn't actually feel like a grind. The planet is beautiful though, so was Umbara, Corpero and Nathema which I wished I could explore better instead of wiping the flashpoint map just to get decent screenshots. The main thing I noted was the continuity to your character; a lot of familiar characters that recognize your class past which KOTFE/ET does little outside some alternative dialogues. I only did Imp-side anyway but overall it's very linear and predictable. But I understand that as an MMO its already generous.
  6. Malgus seemed geared to be big bad villain in the next expansion rather than a companion. The next possible romance probably would be Scourge... if the writers remember he exist that is. But I like how Arcann was so terrible that the idea of romancing him was so horrible yet they let you romance Khem Val who EAT Force Users. Might as well date a cannibal.
  7. I love ME3 a lot more than I did for ME2 and MEA. But I won't drag my dissatisfaction on this game. I love SWTOR. Adore the newer expansions. I also play almost everyday, mostly as preferred status player (my sub is ending today) and I couldn't even normally post on this forum without a sub. So... thank you everyone for subbing to keep this game alive. Yes, the fanbase can be toxic. This is Star Wars after all.
  8. Good fine! I've been looking for Arcann's face model as well. But nobody knows... sigh
  9. I live in Asia with 250-300 ms. And frankly the game's connection is more stable with this patch. I played KOTET yesterday and it's smooth. No lags in between.
  10. Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year. My referral sub is ending again. I was too busy grinding in the game to post anything here. I really hate that forums are subscriber only. This is the only place where my Arcann-loving people hangout I was a bit disappointed by the lack of Arcann content in 5.10 but I think it was shared across the fandom how little scenes they get with their chosen love interest. However, I imagine Arcann was there all along with you on Ossus.
  11. I've been rewatching Killjoys episodes lately (because season 4 is up and I need refresher). I realized D'avin Jacobis kinda look like Arcann... those damn sharp cheekbones. When will I stop being in love with broken fictional men.
  12. Double XP starting so I used the referral code again, yay 7 days sub. It's so frustrating when you want to talk about Arcann but this forum is blocked. Can't wait to finish my final command rank character so that I could replay KOTFE on my SW again.... Emperor Arcann's big d*ck energy. <3
  13. Been CP grinding on my BH before my sub ends today. Might resub for the next double xp or if there's Arcann content again. lol. Hopefully, no maintenance until 5.9. If there's CC unlock for forum access, I'll get that. On Nathema Conspiracy; On Vakorion liking you for his vessel; On the whole underpoweredness in KOTFE;
  14. You think trolls on Satele Shan now are worse than before?.....remember the time when fleet genchat was spammed with every toxic hate-filled xenophobe/transphobe/queerphobe/misogynistic rants and when everyone just can't stop talking about hating everything and using alts to keep on hating... for the entire year or two? No? Star Forge population is bigger than Satele Shan. Before transfer get expensive again, people migrate to larger population servers which include bored toxic people. Now that both servers are East Coast. It doesn't even matter is it?
  15. Wouldn't it be good to play class story again without recruiting ****** (oh.. this is censored? I have to use Harvey Weinstein to explain Skadge now?), terrorists, mass murderers and traitors... I hate companions that are forced on me either and I really hate having to wait for years just to kill them. So.. Lay off Shae. She's an overpowered DPS AOE. Which you don't appreciate.
  16. -_- you do realize those imps does have pubs toons too....anyone can just log out and log in to each faction under a few seconds. What now? Please Bioware, put debuff every time someone stay too long in one faction? As if 17 hours of LS alignments isn't enough?
  17. http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/GregBuchanan/20180411/316142/How_do_you_approach_writing_romance_in_games.php Samantha Wallschlaeger (Guild Wars 2, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Star Wars: The Old Republic) I grew up on older Japanese visual novels, which used romance solely as a form of fantasy fulfillment for the player. Audiences expected each romance arc to follow an existing trope, and the games of that era were happy to oblige. And there’s nothing particularly wrong with that, but it frustrated the hell out of me, because it was fantasy fulfillment at the expense of character development. A romance should reveal character depth, not hinder it. So when I began writing romances for games, I made a conscious decision to approach the process differently. An NPC-player romance arc is always going to be a form of escapism, but I don’t think it has to give players absolutely everything they want. It’s important for me to follow a character’s truth, and really dig into the unique way he or she feels and expresses love. When I wrote Avela Kjar’s romance for Mass Effect: Andromeda, I knew that despite being kind and expressive, she would never allow herself to fully fall for anyone. And I stuck to that, even though it would mean letting the player down in the end. And that’s just it—it’s okay to break the player’s heart a little, if it makes for a better character experience. Injecting that kind of nuance into a relationship makes it feel more real, and lets the player become more immersed in the experience. That’s not to say I don’t use tropes when I write romances. I think they’re an excellent starting point—people like them for a reason, after all (enemies-to-lovers is my particular weakness). And in order to provide a new spin on classic tropes, you need to be a practiced study. I make a point to grill my friends and colleagues on why they enjoy particular kinds of romance arcs, and what they’d like to see done differently. Even if a certain kind of romance isn’t my personal preference, it’s important for me to understand why it’s appealing to other people. It’s my job to provide every type of player with the experience they’ve come to love—injected with a little freshness to surprise and delight them, of course. Because being committed to realism in game romance also means being committed to inclusivity, and celebrating the myriad types of relationships that exist.
  18. He's a demigod. Besides, poor performances is grounds for punishments. Sexy kind. Of course.
  19. From the reports Lana gave about him on Tython, Dantooine and Nar Shadda gaining loyal supporters, I do think Arcann gain a lot of popularity and influence regardless. Anyone with an ounce of force sensitivity would notice the visible change from his dark galactic conqueror self. He might face a lot of abuses or attempts on his life even on Odessen but he's probably handling it on his own with no problem. Knowing my Wrath... she probably send him on a lot of physical work with the common folks. Reconstructing the base after Vaylin's attack, expansion plans, walls, dams, settlements... higher chance for sweaty shirtless Arcann... and more nighttime 'redemption' activities.
  20. I hope Scourge will show up for my Wrath.. the idiot ran to the Jedi Order and started the whole cascade of s*itstorm in the Sith Empire that culminates into an actual genocide of Ziost. I would slice his sorry dusty centuries old head off myself. That and for fridging Exile.
  21. Please no. I actually like post-merge Harbinger-Satele Shan now that most of the persistent trolls left. It actually feel peaceful these past few months. But the server need to move back to west coast.
  22. I think it depends on the initial reception of his character. is still the most popular trailer that even general Star Wars fans sometimes knew about it. But I don't think they're ever serious about Arcann being romanceable but KOTET reception certainly help with their decision. That said, any existing content in SWTOR usually in development six months prior to its release. 5.9's Arcann romance should developed long after KOTET was done.... (also, yes Bioware, we're happy but please we do want more) After ruminating on this, I'm still glad that they never put Arcann in the "Bioware Love Interest" template from the start. I don't want his entire characterization in KOTFE and KOTET to be altered just so he 'fit' to be romanced by everyone. That would be so boring. Btw, Arcann isn't solely written by Sam, its still a collaboration by a lot of writers including Hall Hood. Arcann is still mainly written to be an antagonist for KOTFE.
  23. Probably a reddit title which you could look up. I remember that dimly. Although, I may have spend the past few years shipping on twitter that Erik Dellums knew all about it and I might have said something about not wasting the sexual tension in KOTFE to Charles Boyd. No regrets though. And yes, Arcann was never meant to be LI. I was prepared for it not to ever happen but its fun to ship. Honestly, I'm not a fan of fanservice romance myself and I'm glad that most of Arcann's arc happen in main story rather than subplot. I mean, its good that Bioware listen (and likely lurked here) and noticed that a lot of us do want more. But it take time, we are patient lot.
