  1. Sure that's great. Except since 2.0 that's not true anymore. Sure we still have heavy armour and the highest natural damage mitigation but an operative now has their roll to add to their survivalbility, Sorcerers have their shield wall. Mercs still only have their -25% damage taken and a seriously nerfed Adrenaline Rush. We are the easiest to kill now and the worst healer. There is no point in playing one anymore.
  2. Let her pick. Explain each one to her in the easiest way and let her decide. Just because the Commando is "easy" doesn't mean she will like it. They're all easy, it's just button pressing.
  3. Not expand. Trash what exists and start over.
  4. If I want to go into space, I play Eve Online not SWTOR. SWTORs space is a joke. It may as well not even exist.
  5. The development team does care about you. Do they know you personally? No, of course not. But it's a collective "you", referring to the player base as one entity. It's ridiculous to say they don't care; even though it seems like they don't sometimes. They want YOU to buy it, play it and tell your friends. That's jus how it works.
  6. I am more than likely leaving SWTOR for FFXIV, which I find incredibly ironic considering at PAX East a few years ago I told the swtor PR people that I had hoped it didn't follow in its footsteps. Now I wish it had, in a sense of completely remaking the game. All three games will take people from swtor, but it's up in the air for how long they will stay away or if they will return at all. All three games will have to do something really spectacular in order for it to be harmful. However, SWTOR shouldn't ignore the launches of these titles and prepare for adding more beefy content.
  7. This hard mode, story mode, nightmare mode etc is a cop out.
  8. It shouldn't BE a small development team. It's Bioware and EA. This is a AAA MMORPG. They should be making a decent amount of money now with F2P and subscriptions and gouging everyone on the CM for dyes, new hair styles etc. If Sqaure Enix can completely REMAKE FFXIV in about two years, then what the hell is our development team doing?
  9. It already exists. I forget where in the UI options but its there. Something about showing the details. There is no reason not to have it turned on. Thought this was the default option.
  10. It's not that it's hard. In fact , it's as easy as setting a Boolean to true since it's already implemented. It's that they don't want to give them out all the time. With double experience you can get a character from 10-30 in a weekend without even trying.
  11. Anyone else hoping that significant graphic upgrades means: 1) Day/night cycle 2) shadows that aren't baked into textures aka dynamic shadows 3) Makeb like water on all the planets
  12. Thank you. May you work towards blue parallel with Bioware.
  13. The Gree event needs more black bisector so they can advance to purple parallel, because right now it's a little blue abtuse.
  14. 1) LoTRO - played for 3 years 2) FFXI - played for 8 years 3) SWTOR - since launch, still counting 4) Guild Wars 2 - bought at launch only played a month so far 5) FFXIV? Elder Scrolls Online? Something new here.
  15. This confuses me. The fleet is the only place where SWTOR feels like an MMO. Even when Makeb launched I barely saw anyone else around because the instances only held 50ish people at max. I also don't lag on the fleet. At all.
  16. These are good general rules for when to stun.
  17. Never say never. Even FFXI, which is a PvE 'only' game, is going to be adding some PvP to their game with Player vs Monster Player (PvMP) and by the sounds of it, it will be open world. Whether the PvE players or Bioware like it or not, there is a PvP community in SWTOR and they have been ignored since the addition of Ancient Hypergate and to some extent the Gree event. Ranked Warzone Season 1 was promised roughly a year ago, it was something they had been working on and has been back burner-ed for months. Why? Why not give an update on it? When we say we want "open world pvp", we don't mean we just want the ability to kill other players out in the open world because that's lame. As you know that's already in the game, what we really want is something we can sink our teeth into. Valor Ranks that MEAN something, maybe put an icon to show rank near the characters portrait so others can see it, when you kill players in open world give us Valor, give us a few Commendations, harder gear progression, leaderboards, MORE Warzones and MORE maps of ALL Warzone types. We want objectives we can hold and fight over, which can be flipped from Republic controlled or Imperial controlled. In the open world we don't want "oh I'm level 55, I'm going to go kill level 20's!" like most PvEers think we do. That's just silly because if people want to do that (if you're on a PvP server or flagged on a PvE one), they already can in this game, so I don't see why PvEers are so afraid of that. We also need Bolster removed from 55 Warzones and a better solution than the Resolve bar.
  18. I can't imagine they wouldn't be wanting to optimize the engine more and make improvements on it.
  19. This thread shouldn't die. Bioware needs to see that we want and need more PvP content. Season 1 of ranked PvP and new open world PvP stuff to replace the old Illum. This as supposed to be content that was in development already, where the heck is it? Will SWTOR be forever stuck in pre season? Why do they not have a level designer make a new map for each warzone we already have? Easily double out existing Warzones by doing that, and then add Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag with two maps each and you easily increase the amount of PvP content.
  20. ESPEICALLY when the male Cathar seem to have a full head of hair. XD I ended up making two my male characters into Cathar and no females.
  21. The hairstyles that are currently avalible are pretty bad, in my opinion. They are so thin and stringy looking. They need a few more styles that give them a full head of hair. Even the males could use more options.
  22. I like dynamic events as well. And looks like it's starting to become somewhat of a standard to MMMORPGs. More games are doing them. SWTOR definitely needs a lot of work(weather cycle, day/night cycle, dynamic events, more movements to NPCs) to make its world feel alive instead of being a static dull boring dead land.
  23. It's not healing. It's the Operative/Scoundrel that insane on PvP. There are barely any complaints about the Commando/Merc directly. Why? Because they have gone from being the hardest/second hardest to kill to the easiest to kill an STILL have the worst heals for PvP.
  24. It's mostly the Operative that's overpowered in WZ healing; not healing itself.
  25. PvP content. More maps of the same Warzones we have. One to two new Warzones. Open world objective based PvP, whether they incorporate it on existing planets or onto a new planet or Illum. A new operation. At least another 55 Flashpoint. More hair styles for the female Cathar, the existing ones are awful. They look stringy and thin. Blah. Real space combat (maybe even flying our ships in space to travel from planet to planet). Not the Star Fox 64 we have now.
