  1. I absolutely agree. I don't want to be bending over backwards to keep up with this stuff, it's what keeps making me burn out of SWTOR. I wanna see some more basic decorations available for those who can't afford the Cartel Pack stuff.
  2. I love these ideas, but I have a slightly different opinion on point 15. Perhaps there could be an automatic deco like companions for the class ship that can be placed once in each stronghold that becomes the class ship of whatever character is currently in the stronghold, it would be the ship of the first person to enter the stronghold or the character that owns the stronghold if they are in the stronghold at the time. If no character with a ship were in the Stronghold, there would simply be nothing there.
  3. I am so upset right now. I found out about that decoration and got so excited about all the ways I could use it, AAAAAAAAAAAND then it turns out that it had become unobtainable before I even knew it existed. And the worst part is a person lied to me about how it was obtained and made me waste SO MUCH TIME doing those stupid Makeb Heroics! I am feeling SO ANGRY right now, I think I want to cry. Rather than doing Star Fortress stuff or ops or pvp or something productive with my time, I've been running around on Makeb doing random crap! It's not really anyone's fault but it's still SO FRUSTRATING to find out I've been wasting my time and getting excited about a decoration I can never obtain. *Starts banging head on desk repeatedly* (More like the floor, my laptop is sitting on the floor while I wait for my computer to be fixed but whatever I'm mad at myself for wasting so much time and getting so stressed out for nothing.)
  4. This actually sounds like a fun and harmless idea. I'd love it if this event were a monthly thing or something
  5. I can see people doing that actually. At least those people would give themselves away as jerks tho! :3
  6. Every idea mentioned in this thread so far needs to happen. I can't go back to the old hook arrangements now that I've thought about what I could do with these hook layouts. I could decorate my strongholds beautifully 8D
  7. I think the current system works. Cartel Market items can be sold on the GTN, and the randomness of what's in the Cartel Packs are why almost all the items from the Cartel Market are for sale on it. Every Hypercrate is very likely to give you valuable items that can be sold for credits which can be used to buy the items you want. Of course this is a very simplified description of the actual economy of the game, and some items are EXTREMELY expensive on the GTN, but I still believe it's much better this way because credits can be earned in game without buying CC and this gives players the option of getting Cartel Items without paying for Cartel Coins. In fact I buy most of my Cartel Market decorations/items from the GTN.
  8. /signed. My guild won't get a FS anytime soon but when it does I do not want to discover that I can't even decorate it properly! Increase the hook limit Bioware.
  9. Oh yeah, the pack came out recently. I should probably end my brief break from SWTOR tomorrow to try and get his statue.
  10. I would agree with you if were not for the following: After KotFE we can get some of our old comps back during the alliance missions, and most of those missions allow you to bypass them if you had the comp before KotFE(Like how Consulars can bypass Qyzen's mission), and all the ones that haven't returned yet are clearly poised to return in future updates. As for Legacy Abilities, a quickbar with all of the ones you have unlocked appears on your screen when you use your Heroic Moment. However I do have one complaint: Holograms. Comps from other classes still appear as holograms, even if you have unlocked them already on the character ur using. This really annoys me, the comp deco system should be redone to make it possible to have comps from separate classes be in the same SH at the same time without either of em being holos. If Bioware has a good reason for not having made this change yet, I can wait for as long as it takes. But it is kind of annoying. I'd be fine with default appearances, separate decos for holos, and things along those lines, as long as they're present in my SHs at the same time. I'm happy to wait for this change, but it would be nice to know it's going to happen eventually.
  11. I had long since for gotten about this thread. Wow I've come a long way since then, taking part in the Dread War, the coalition on Yavin 4, the events on Ziost.... It's hard to believe that I once didn't even have a level 60 character. With all the experience I've gained since the original post seems so uneducated to me, and the ideas are really unpolished. I do still look forward to seeing more Strongholds in the future but what I hope to see has drastically changed. Anyway my original point still stands, I really wanna see more Strongholds! But with all this experience and knowledge I've gained, I'm happy to wait and see what Bioware has planned for the Strongholds. As long as they don't forget about them!
  12. I think setting up a Flashpoint version of your strongholds or guild strongholds that others can challenge would be fun provided that it's completely optional and separate from the actual strongholds themselves. I can imagine myself setting up some ruthless defenses to fight off attackers and enjoying myself while doing it, but that's not what I'd want my Stronghold to be about. It could be a fun minigame to play with your friends when you're bored, but I would absolutely despise the idea of people's strongholds and Flagships actually being attacked and damaged and raided. Custom Flashpoints would be a fun minigame tho.
  13. I agree that the old decorations should be obtainable, but I don't think they should be easier to obtain after the packs go off the Cartel Market. Perhaps having individual decorations be purchasable for exceedingly high prices, such as commemorative statues being available for the price of a hypercrate, and similar situations for other items from Cartel Packs, and/or the old hypercrates be available for a higher price or in an expansion like Collector's Edition(That hopefully remains purchasable for many years to come) that allows people to buy old Cartel Items rather than CE perks. I can see this being quite profitable for Bioware and helping the in-game economy of Swtor by making it easier to obtain discontinued items without making said items lose their value and still encouraging people to buy the current Cartel Packs as well as the old. I mean, it's worth a shot right? C'moon Bioware it's a win-win!
  14. I defeated the Probe and didnt get the deplete datacron, I guess someone else must have fought it and it was still chasing him/her.
  15. I havent seen it, but I originally planned to no do much with it at first cause I havent even finished Nar yet. But I'm looking forward to it nontheless.
  16. I agree. This would be nice. I dont have a Flagship in either of my guilds yet but I still would like a decent amount of hooks to decorate with.
  17. I haven't seen it yet but I'm probably gonna make it a nice little place to relax, put some plants there, some furniture here.. I'm not gonna worry about it too much right away but I'm sure I'll think of something nice.
  18. I actually like this idea. I personally wouldn't be likely to get this very quickly, I do not have the strength to run around doing dailies to get decorations, SHs, gear and etc etc to keep up with all the content so that I don't miss out on any of the items I want that will likely either go super expensive or disappear from the GTN completely before this happens and still have credits left over, especially when I donate 100k to my inactive guild every other day(At least I'm the guildmaster ^_^) but I do think greater variety would be rather nice. I could see my friends make SHs on places like Oricon, maybe buy a guild SH somewhere like that occasionally, and buy one myself when I've finally caught up to all the players who have been playing for more than a year's worth of time. Not that I'm complaining, I understand all this and it does give people a lot to strive for and make each player's accomplishments unique, and I'm already preparing to skip some items and decorations and stuff and refocus on leveling, deactivate my Coruscant and Kaas SHs and buy them for my guilds, but it sux that I wouldn't have enough spare creds to buy anything like dat right away. My main problem with dailies has usually been internal psychological issues, a crushing sense of being overwhelmed that's no one's fault but my own :3 Crap I went offtopic. Sorry! Anyway while I would not buy this immediately I would love to see an Oricon SH, and I think it would be lore-friendly because The Dread Masters are gone right? (I've only ever done like two ops, the Soa one and this Hutt one so I'm not rlly knowledgeable about op-related lore.)
  19. Why not just make an expansion or whatever like Collector's edition to allow you to have access to items that used to be on the Cartel Market but aren't anymore for say...... twice or three times the price?(Preferably twice.) This would make the older decorations AND items at least ATTAINABLE for newer players but at a much greater cost than when they were originally on the Cartel Market.
  20. I agree. I don't wanna have to choose between deleting my Coruscant Stronghold or my Dromund Kaas Stronghold. I also would LOVE to have more hook space, obtaining the decorations is difficult enough without thinking about how to place them to make the Stronghold look nice and well decorated within the allotted number of hooks which for Tatooine and Yavin 4 is just too low.
  21. This is a great story. Hopefully, with time, The Sith Empire and Galactic Republic will be united by these brave heroes.
