  1. i hate that body type 1 is a scrawny and malnourished, 3 is total freaking beefcake, and 4 is close to morbidly obese. the body types, except 2, are in the extremes.
  2. sounds good, the strongholds now are extremely oversized.
  3. i agree, even if there technically is no reason or purpose to have a stronghold, why the hell not?!
  4. i don't get it, you didn't suggest anything in the game that would keep it from crashing, you just talked about how none of the stuff they're going to add is important or essential without even connecting your points to the economy. if everything isn't important or essential as you have pointed out, it would probably promote a crash in economy for swtor if anything.
  5. a secret volcanic base on belsavis, right in the center of a volcano like the separatist stronghold on ord mantell. i want to see the sky above me from the hole in the volcano as smoke and ashes rush out of it. the base is illuminated by the glowing hot lava. the rooms of the stronghold are built into the sidewalls of the volcano, while a huge metal platform is built over the magma floor of the volcano that is used as the central "outdoor" plaza.
  6. i've tried doing an op back before the SM groupfinder thing and never managed to find a group. even so most groups did HM and NiM so it was pretty hard. i am upset with the prices for GTN, but i certainly understand why they are like that: hard to get craft mats, hard to get up cybertech to qualify to make it in the first place, and hard to find the best stuff "in the wild".
  7. an expansion of the character and legacy perks, account-wide ones too would be nice. yeah, i guess i'll drift away from P2W and focus any kind of modifications to making paying money more convenient.
  8. crafting pretty much is dead with things like CM adaptives, CM dyes, and CM crystals, which all give superior things for less effort than getting to artifice 450 to make a crystal not featured in the collections tab. ops are completely boring for the same thing you said: "once you've learned the tactics and downed the bosses a few times, they become unbearably repetitive." P2W is completely natural for an MMO, how do you think they make their money?! ok, so maybe absolutely any level of P2W is bad, but maybe they could make spending money more convenient instead of becoming a god with a couple $100 bills. for instance paying money for a subscription will let you teleport to anywhere you want or make you're mount go 120%. that is a way that doesn't effect gameplay but makes things easier for you.
  9. GTN is massively overpriced, a single purple 55 mod is 4.5 mil. my beef with the CM is that i personally feel like i am wasting money because the things i buy don't have any effect on combat performance or anything. pretty much i am playing dress up dolls with my alts, putting them in cool vehicles, and not much else. the CM is still functioning completely well on its own, though.
  10. sorry, but i didn't understand what you said, what is BIS? i am pretty sure taking out mods and putting them into other armor is the point of adaptive gear. the only thing i see causing problems is that a leg armor was cheaper than the chestpiece, so someone would just buy a ton of pants and remove the armoring and get it for a good discount. also, if the set bonus is tied to the armoring, i could see someone farming the same low-level boss, get the armoring out, and use the armor mods to get the full set bonus and ignore the higher-level bosses that drop the other pieces.
  11. ever notice that when you log into the game and you spawn in the middle of a mob and they don't shoot at you until you move? pretty sure a spammer could just kill the mob and simply not move or jump and the mob will ignore them when it respawns.
  12. good luck! in an international MMO that you can just sign up for, there will always be a good 10 to 20% of the population that will.
  13. if the pay is good enough they will. many farmers are in poorer countries and are offered just slightly more than the usual pay for their country. point is, there will always be someone desperate enough and goldspammer companies will find a way to exploit them.
  14. he means that the empire eventually falls because the sith empire wasn't around during episodes 1, 2, and 3. however, just because the empire lost the ultimate fight doesn't mean that it didn't push the republic to the brink of destruction on several occasions.
  15. all baddies have sweet accents. while i very much like the color red and the angular design of the empire, i just love the bright colors, yellow windows, and curved style of the republic. i also love the pub's soldier armor better, very original. i hate the dull grays and silly hats in the imperial army. but besides pure aesthetics, the empire is a total wreck; slave revolts, rebellions, sith rivalries, it's all chaos over there. while there is crime, poverty, and the like inside the republic, as with any civilization, the republic has much more stability and i believe that is why the good guys usually win. the empire is also evil and does evil things, which is bad. however, i find jedi boring and homogenous, sith are much more realistic and their teachings make sense. the whole thing about peace is a lie makes total sense; it is impossible for everyone to be completely happy, there will always be crime, suffering, and evil no matter what you do. also, passion does result in power because being passionate makes you work harder, improve, and do a better job, so in a way passion itself is power.
  16. total facepalm moment for me right now. so if it's an armor is in an adaptive headpiece i can put it into another adaptive headpiece? or a moddable heavy chestpiece into the same? i don't really know why it works that way or what the purpose of such a restriction is.
  17. i don't know what veteran rewards are, but i assume you mean some kind of reward for subs that are subscribed for a longer period of time. that would certainly keep people from just subbing for 2 months to get the bonuses for expansions like the GSH nar shaddaa house.
  18. i am suggesting that the CM should offer gear equivalent to the best gear available through gameplay. i certainly don't want the CM gear to be superior to normal gear, just equal to. the only advantage of paying money is that it woulds be easier and a bit earlier. with swtor, players are not usually fighting other players, and when they are they are bolstered to a generic level usually.
  19. it doesn't need to get outrageous, the examples people are giving for pay to win are extreme. so long as we keep it in control some level of pay to win probably wouldn't be too bad. i'm not suggesting having level 55 gear purchasable at level 1 or anything, that is too far.
  20. whenever i try to suggest giving any kind of non-aesthetic purpose to spending real money, people in the community put their earplugs in and rant about it being "pay to win". as far as i see it, the CM should be used to bypass work, but so long as someone can work hard for something just as powerful, then it isn't "pay to win" as the community rants about. a perfect example that is actually a reality is the CM crystals. they are available at level 10 and claimable in the collections tab, yet someone can craft or buy a crystal of equal power at level 50, this is my ideal of "bypassing work" in action. with very few non-cosmetic things in the cartel market (speeders, crystals, pre-modded armor, legacy perks), it is my guess that bioware might actually be losing money. if members of the community are happy with their cosmetic choices they've unlocked in their collections, they have little reason to buy CC. another example of the whole cosmetic thing not working out well is what happened with GSF. completely useless paints, paint schemes, and color modules for blaster fire and engines were all that were available. the only good use for CC was buying CM ships, which recycled models that were already in the game, and transferring ship req into fleet req (again, my "bypassing work" philosophy). i think the lack of CM use was what might have made GSF bomb as much as it did. i would like to see some advanced implants, earpieces, offhands, and mods of all levels (counting by 5's) purchasable with CC that are equipable by anyone 5 levels early. some other uses would also be nice. anyway, as with the title of this thread, i would like to non-threateningly (the community has a tendency to lash at the slightest thing) ask why everyone is so against what is so natural for an MMO.
  21. i just told you that the game will not allow you to put purple armor mods into other gear. you spend about 9K to remove the armoring, try to put it into your CM armor and get an error message. although i never knew that the set bonus was tied to the armoring. if i could actually put armoring into new gear that might actually be useful.
  22. yeah, i tend to agree. while i certainly think that players should have the freedom to dress however they want, i would like to see more CM gear that is themed to sith, smugglers, and the like. i am not saying to restrict players to their class's theme, but only to make dressing appropriately more convenient for those who want to. maybe there could be a sith-themed CM pack in a shipment as well as a jedi one, a smuggler one, a trooper one, and so on.
  23. i think the CM is, and should be, the only way to go if you're only interested in attractive gear. CM items are meant to be the items that you take with you throughout the game. i am actually quite aggravated that bioware is making it really hard to have CM items past level 50. they keep adding endgame gear with set bonuses and that keep you from equipping armor mods into CM gear. it is becoming extremely inconvenient to have CM gear at endgame, and all of the PvP and commendation gear gear look really sucky. not only that, but they really only have 4 to 6 armor models that they just reskin at best.
  24. i would love a seasonal, 3-month content release schedule! i also wish that the events were more that just spamming dailies or doing bounty contracts over and over. if they want to make an event it has to be engaging and nonrepetitive, pretty much a micro-expansion. maybe if they were to only do events biannually and focused on creating something entirely new every time with a different, nonrepetitive formula it would be a bit more fun. if it happens every 5 or 6 weeks for a full week it's not an event! maybe if they handed out mounts, pets, and gear that were available in the collections (possibly event-exclusive CM items) or supermods available only during the event people would be more inclined to do them. maybe a removable dye or something, that would get people exited. i wasted a ton of money gambling and wound up with a mount for only one alt.
  25. oh yes, never done gree but the rakghoul thing was horrible. never run into any PvPing but everyone keeps fighting over everything.
