the root of the issue is that they believe that the digital trinkets that they spammed for the month for subbing is something that they are doing out of the goodness of their hearts. when in fact its really just an attempt to keep you subbed with you guessed it right digital nothingness. Lets be straight here it was never about long term players being rewarded and only a means to try to keep earning your monthly sub. now for the rewards they are just utter rubbish. One HK item was nice but to continuously dump HK item after HK item thinking it was unique, fun, and something that players actually wanted well it just shows to how little they know and or care about the paying subs. What they could have given, hell how about a package of 100 purple companion gifts. how about a package of a dozen dyes for the digital crap they push on the CM, how about a speeder that goes 150 percent speed. the list can be long and can be good but we are given BS cause they think we like BS. the real issue i have is how they spoke to us on the dev stream. it was we are at the top and you stupid folk should just eat what we give you and love it. if you say you dont well you are just our idiots, hey do you want another HK item how about HK boots this time.

There will never be a fix for it. it is working exactly as they intend them to work. why wont people get that. yes its pile of horse poop but it is designed not with the player in mind but ultimately the collections CC legacy money sink. 1. you will eventually need CC to open that shinny digital nothingness up across your legacy. 2. you will need to buy regular packs with the hopes of opening up the rest of an armor set for example and yeah you can say i will never do that and just buy it from the GTN but in the end regardless someone will be opening cartel packs that someone paid cash for to start. so cash is being spent on CC regardless. this just equals WIN WIN WIN for EAware. I am really sorta befuddled as to why people do not seem to grasp this concept and see this new not so new Event for what it really is, desperate cash grab as SWTOR has been for over a year now.

was on ilum and the gree event for the most part was dead. picked up a little but no where what it used to be. the new chapter stuff was an initial wave and has died down as well. but that is to be expected given how short it actually was. and the starter worlds are meh.day one 5 instances. day 2 and 3 1 to 2 full instances and that was it. i will add many never went back to those old starter worlds well because they had 15 plus 65s, but if you did there usually were 2 instances up and running with people. so over all the event is a lead balloon. i think as more people push to 50 on the character they started they will realizze just how poor the event really is and drop out of it.

well they sort of are forcing some to delete them until or if the cap is moved to 50 per server. the real thing is its a pure and simple money grab at so many levels its not even funny. yeah sure you can get that sweet armor piece or weapon and it opens in your legacy but guess what you pay huge cc to open account wide..... WIN WIN WIN EAware. the issue i have seen so far is so what you get the upper for a set, its not the set nor will it unlock in your legacy so once your done with your character and havent gotten the rest of the set to put on to unlock in our legacy guess what you really have nothing at the end of the day. I think its just poor planning yet again. do this lame event, give out crates. stop at one per level and make each crate of the 8 that you could earn give a complete gold or plat level gear SET. i would actually participate in the event more than just once to see what its about. and in honesty i dont think i will bother doing even one complete run in the event. just not worth it right now.

Really it comes down to they have no clue how the complete package of the game works. There is no planning or thought process as to how systems will work or what the outcome will be. The story is just pure rubbish at this point and so far from what star wars really is that it is sorta sad at this point. Yes they were given this we don't care about this time point do as you want but a turd is a turd at this point. as for the companion gift deal its a grind, one that they seem to believe is fun content, engaging content but always just a guise for what it really is a cash machine that gives them more and more. so don't feel bad thinking you are the only one to have lost a lot of time and effort to cap her. they knew the plan and should have placed her not as a companion you could use but just as as story marker.

it is not a massive success but a massive money grab. its just that simple. sure starting worlds are packed today its day one. give it a week and people will slowly die off and only log in once in a while. so win win for bw. monthly sub check, cm sales check. new content nope. to judge this a success via a couple planets with people is funny. its odd started a new character a couple months ago and hutta had 3 instances full. go figure your numbers mean nothing really.

it is a minus 10 out of 10. it was by far the shortest of the chapters outside of 9 due to it just being prelude. you spent more time watching trivial side chatter between story characters vs actually playing the game. and what you played was horribly boring. most of the time you end up running running running running stop because auto combat enabled kill some lame trash move on. even the newly added laser turrests that move were a joke to just jump around. Sadly a couple chapters ago i realized the story was so weak there would be no coming back from it. not this cycle of chapters of story. possibly before the release of the newest sw movie when they try to cash in on silly movie fans the new story will be better? highly doubtful really. who ever is writing story need to step away from the blowing up ship omg i need to run to get out. its like this in almost all of the chapters now. LAME> and yet again the emperor the true emperor is just a fart in the wind a couple chapters back. um hello you start the newest story line with him trapped in your head talking to you almost all the time. UGH BW stop trying to write story. go hire someone that has actually written sw story and make a new full on all at once expansion with seperate (8) stories for your characters. at the very least this would work for your newly installed insanely boring EVENT you just pushed live.

OP its day one of new achievements. i give it a week and it will die down just when those that have already done all the story many many times over tire of it and go back to not caring. and for all those that are so happy about recruitment, trust me they are only there for the xp bonus. the vast majority will never get involved nor will they stay for long once done with the grind again. yes negative but it is what it is stop trying to polish a turd.

LOL this chapter was even shorter than the last and honestly the worst of them all. but it was purely only used to set up the next 16 chapters of story in season 2. pure and utter garbage yet again BW.

Anyone and i mean anyone that thought you would be able to trade even within your legacy has got to stop thinking like this. it is in their best interest to do that to protect the cash cow CM and to force you to redo it all on 7 additional characters. keep in mind so far i have seen in game the packs are just pure chance cube crap and yet to see something worth while.

This event is ABSOLUTELY clearly designed with the veteran players in mind. It will be a HUGE cash win fall for them. some in the segment will spend in game credits for over priced CM slots, but those slots are still bought by either the small percentage of whale players or most importantly the credit sellers who feed the CM market cash. so your welcome vertans, BW loves you enough to know its time to milk you for more cash before the end.

Dude really they are on sale right now for you to earn money from an event that is created to force people to unlock more slots and or help repopulate your dead and dying servers due to your poor management of the game. Please stop trying to come off as this is anything but that. and for the original post this is only a knee jerk reaction to the mostly HUGE disdain for this horribly conceived "event" I might sound harsh but its the truth, you know it, I know it and everyone else knows it.

i mean come on why is anyone spending money on cm any more. just use in game credits. the credits spammers are awash in the game. its easy to earn credits. strop feeding the money beast called EA/BW. for the OP it makes sense for them to up charge. this game is on maintenance mode regardless if people want to accept it or not. the scaled back content to a single 40 to 60 minutes of cut scenes, the introduction of an "event" that raelly is just old content with a couple of new achievements and chance cube crates (yes thats all it will be) and the ever increasing cost of packs and cm items. even the increase of transfers back to 1000cc which didn't need to be done and caused more issues than helped. its a money grab for as much as BW can get for as long as it can until people finally start to say nope, enough. Lets be real here, only reason more people are not jumping ship here right now is because there really is little other alternative solid performing mmos that fill the sci fi segment. And you know BW sees this and knows that there are a half dozen or so sci fi mmos on the horizon that will no doubt steal most of the paying sub base for long enough that it will force EA to notice how poor a job they are doing and either close the shop doors of swtor or fire all the current team and reorganize. add to that the other half dozen classic sword and board mmos in the mix. swtor bw team is in lots of trouble within 6 to 12 months. so milk milk milk that fat whale CM buyers and the few of us subs left for as much and as long as they can string us along.
