I couldnt disagree with you more and people are discouraged because they think the game is really in a state of utter disrepair. the story is for a lack of a better phrase that isnt going to be blocked....... super market trash novelette turd writing you never needed an elite group to run any of the older content, nor did you need to run ops but the old content gave a sense of star wars. all the stories were different yet followed the central theme. now we just have a pile of horse flop that is a railshooter for pve content. at times the content is so maze like its almost absurdly stupid. the RNG system really just shows that the people that are developing swtor are amateurs at best and honestly should never be allowed to develop a game again. all the things that make for a great MMO and they certainly had it at the start of the game, they have just turned their backs towards and noses in the air. its almost insanity what they think is fun and catching for a player in an mmo.

So yeah its actually that dire. The game is for all intensive purposes in maintenance mode and they just do not want to come out and say it because people who are foolish enough to waste money on CC, will stop spending and leave them with no income for a dying turd. I have said it many times before they just need to merge the servers. They don't even have to merge guilds and ships just players and their legacy. And that is just the first step to actually turning things around. Next would stop this path of thinking solo content is worth spending money on like they are doing and start to produce real star wars content and real group content. that means all from pve to pvp. short of a epic DLC that has 3 to 4 new ops, 4 to 6 new fp/short content runs, 5 to 6 new wz and gsf. this game is as good as done. one can only hope disney is smart enough to see this is a turd, and quietly allow lucas arts to develop a new one.

apples and oranges really here. most of those games are on there because they are online but carry little to no comparison after that. the real issue is people saying its all peaches and cream when they know as well as anyone else that right now swtor is spoiled milk.

the only thing that would make me renew my sub at this point is legacy wide CXP level system such that there is one and only one command level linked to all legacy wide. once you hit character max level it immediately is the max command level of all previously leveled characters with the BS RNG boxes ready to open.

this sums up this POS of a system they put in game.

outside of now being purely crafting or harvesting bots for me, they are a HUGE waste of time. no way i will ever level another alt with command levels. there is no way. they needed to actually think about the pos of a system they were putting in and realize that it needed to launch as a legacy wide system.

for the OP, just stop defending the development of the game and the new gear system. it is hands down the large mmo gear turd that any game development company could ever have designed. It is only designed to strap people into playing content in a game that is old and already done over and over and over many times over. it is designed to make them lots and lots of money as people waste money on cc to buy command boosts. please i just ask STOP supporting this most horrible development team and the direction they seem to be going but suggesting its an ok system. stop the madness. they have screwed up big time here.

really it has to be legacy wide 100 percent no other way. the new system is utterly junk as it stands now. even ESO which had a far superior champion point system that IS LINK account wide. there is ZERO reason why swtor doesnt have this linked legacy wide.

they are just short tacticals very short tacticals. and they need to have respawning heal stations if you are going to have a random grouping that doesnt fill heal roll. they are not hard but they do require healing and its just that simple.

thats the issue they are not gamers and they definately do not game swtor. i am starting to feel they dont even play test the game they develop.

for anyone that thinks this is an improvement upon the old system, you are just lying to yourself because at heart you just dont want star wars to be associated with this large a turd nugget. the new system is a horrid idea for getting gear. just that simple. now if they wanted a grind after the level grind they should have learned from eso and implemented a stat based Cxp system. leave gear to enjoying content and killing bosses. forget tokens forget all that junk and let the play feel an accomplishment when they kill a boss.

they have zero interest in merging servers because they just want to milk the game of as much money as possible and that means even at a discount they will make money on 90cc transfers. its about dollars to them at this point because at the end of the license agreement Disney will not pass up the opportunity to produce and release Disney made content for Disney made money. but with that if EAware was smart, which apparently they are not, they would effectively tell people on dead servers they are locked such that no new characters can be created nor imported onto the server. with that all people within a time frame of 2 months (just giving an example so calm your pits) can move to this server and only this server for free. This way they take care of merging with out having to implement any new system or take up precious development time (which they don't have or use anyway) and use the current transfer system to easily and honestly simply condense servers to the point they just can shut down servers as needed. I think personally they will be forced into a server merge when people start to see how poorly designed 5.0 gear treadmill grind really is.

seriously bw you locked level progression on your update for early access???? story sure but your paying sub right now is locked at lvl 65 is utterly and most positively a joke. and your the joke. you take someones money giving them access to the game as a sub and you lock them from regular old level progression until your early access story is open to all? and you wonder why poeple think your a joke. top that with it took you 24 hours to post sub access after a card was instantly charged. and guess what you actually consumed the day of access as active sub even tho the game did not recognize said access. purely and simply lame on your part.

Your asking for SWG. LOL They have no clue how to do that because they have yet to show they know how to develop a game correctly. yes I am not a developer but playing as many mmorpgs as I have over the years I know 100 percent I would do a better job. It is BW and EA and at this point they just do not care about actually producing a game worth a salt.

They absolutely do not want anyone to know what is going on officially from them because they know what they are pushing out the door is going to be as far from what people really wanted as possible. Its just that simple.

the thing about the sub rewards as they are now is, they are just super weak and all over the place in terms of quality. This last months sub reward was a step in the right direction but still fell well off the mark of what should be part of the reward. More monthly mini content needs to be a sub reward and filler added like an HK deco or gun. I will also add that monthly CM coins in small batches are horrid. If i sub for 6 months just give me the coins upfront upon sub for 6 months why am I waiting for them when i already subbed? it would probably lead them to more coin sells. But overall the issue is just the content its so weak that even the sub rewards look foolish.

As a player, I will say it is totally in your best interest both gameplay and financially to sub to swtor. You actually get a game that is not a 1.4 of the game and you are never forced into spending additional money on digital fluff if you chose not to. The F2P model is at its very core designed by Bioware to earn them a LOT of money.

The simple fact is they will not fix the bug because they just do not care about fixing the product they produce. They have for a while now followed the release ideology of produce content, leave it bugged and forget about it as soon as the newest piece of new content is released.

It is because simply put BW are horrible storytellers. I tried to review that in another post and yet again as always the white knight MMORPG hord had to fall on the lightsaber of Bioware defending the horrible story telling.

You love it and praise them but really, in the end, you know it's not worth the salt you were trying to give away. It is exactly as I said, we the MMO faithful to swtor that will fall on the sword of bw just to protect our sacred MMO swtor. The chapter was lackluster and very much missed the mark. It was about experiencing a beloved kotor NPC. while he is not the real HK, he should have been a much bigger part of it. The miss Que here was playing as HK. what should have happened was you played ZO-OM and got the entertainment of replies and actions of HK. It would have been worlds better. WHAT you are playing as the shroud all along? LOL cool. but NOPE we get a whining companion with about as much comedy as listening to Quinn. The same old same old delivery of story content through holo recording. Which by the way I have already stated was very poor. Why do we hear about it when we should be playing it. sadly again you all just want to just keep drinking that sweet Koolaid yet it's really just water. Why not take the story further and more in depth? Because they never intend to use the story again and know you won't ever ask for it again. So really what you got was yet again more sky trooper slow down kills, some slapstick comedy attempts. which mostly were just flat outside of the exar getting spaced from the elevator. Some horrible voice acting outside of the standard HK we all know and love. That folk is it. It has NO replay value. It has no depth and it is definitely a preview of the horrible story telling we are going to receive with KOTET.

Not really sure its the game developers that created an atmosphere that creates an anti-social gaming experience, as much as it is really probably more along the lines of they just do not care about guilds in the game. The general approach to guilds from the very start was one of, meh it's an MMO so yeah we will have guilds. After that point, it was just an after thought. Now I will say that they saw that guilds were and need to be part of any healthy MMO gaming experience. And while can easily just play the game without a guild or join a guild and never participate, they did attempt to add in guild conquest. This was their attempt at guild content. Ultimately it was an utter flop and while it was a step in the right direction, yet again it is content they added in broken and unfinished and now just forgotten about. Typical BW content development and deployment. So really it comes down to this, the original developers just did not care, the ones hired on after did not care and have moved on and now the last of the developers left just do not care or just are incompetent and do not see that it would create a healthier game in the long run to implement meaningful and helpful guild changes and improvements.
