the root of the issue is they have not shown nor will they ever show the ablity to design solid concept material with this current development team. leadership has got to change but alas it wont because people will still be the mindless drones and purchase cm fluff and pay the 15 a month for 30 to 60 minutes of cut scenes.

OP they made if completely and utterly clear via dev posts and tweets that if you want to partake in the EVENT either cough up money for more character slots on your server OR move to a dead server that they created due to poor content delivery over the past year and guess what regrind all your old content 8 more times.

The issue is this is not the minority of the players but the MAJORITY. and the MAJORITY of US are speaking because the breaking point of poor design decisions and poor development have come to the point of utter absurdity. this is NOT an event because regrinding new old content is not NEW and an event that they are pushing by using the word EVENT and billing it as new is just utterly a lie of epic proportions. STOP defending BW austin for this HORRIBLY designed Event.

For a long time now I have not been discouraged but simply digested by the lack of any thought into the game I have enjoyed called swtor. The OP is spot on. Sadly mindless drones will continue to pump money into the game via the most important cartel market. its sorta sad that people will still defend BW austin for what they are pushing out and making people pay for.

It really is amusing to read the I dont get it posts or why so much rage posts and or replies. it is a very weak way of being a overly happy fanboy of swtor and the dev team and honestly lately I am starting to think just BW posting in threads to attempt to counter the growing population of threads with very negative reviews for just about all facets of the game. now the why is simple. they are not developing the game they are not even sure how to use the correct word for this "event" because they billed it as new and exciting which it is neither. they are giving the thumb to the paying CM pack players by including digiital BS in those packs in a "event" you dont have to play for and earn free. Of course one must remember that the packs they are giving away are just chance cubes which will for the most part give you utter worthless junk. so really they need to honestly fire the team. tell the player base listen this game is on maintance mode and will get minimal attention for remainder of up time and tease the idea that there might be a sw mmo on the horizon.

on point here. they do not care about what the paying player says because guess what the fools that buy into the CM will continue to waste money on coins. which earns lots more money for them and no development. best thing that can happen is disney really looking at the horrible job and ruin they are putting upon the IP star wars.

he bares responsibility trust me there is no way that guy is not involved in this disastrous "event" But to give it a different angle it is not solely him but the entire team developing swtor and the lack of attention from higher ups in EA because the real blame falls upon the buys of the CM. there is no way to side step it. the player base is at very much the center of the newest horrible "event" decision.

I feel for the OP completely. This is not an "event" and that is where the real issue of the matter is. One in which Bioware has completely and utterly misused the word. Once they used the word "event" anyone would logically think it was actually something new added to the game to cycle into the mix of static but revolving events. for example the plague or gree "EVENTs" It is not a surprise nor a shock to me that the new "pile of !@#$ EVENT" is what it is. just recycling old content with new achievements. It has become a recurring development cycle of SWTOR for a while now. Sadly the rabid defenders such as those that are even within this post will ignore it, deny it or just plain praise BW for a fantastic job done right. But all this "event" really is...... is SWTOR Maintenance Mode aka "EVENT"

if you believe that paying what you do monthly is actually content, i just feel sorry for the lot of ya. this is not content. this is not even good side quest content. its literally just a pile of cyber garbage. yeah i know you love the story they are spoon feeding you for 15 monthly its the best story telling that has ever been done for sw or even swtor. but really its not its not just because i say so its no because the story would be epic if it was given in a single update. given how they have literally stretched out a short story over months its just a sign of how poor it is. i mean even the latest chapter which on first glance watching the trailer was excited it turned out to be a single zone smaller than fleet and you listening to mandolorians on a radio while you drove about mindlessly and killed a handful of things you were forced to kill because well it just slowed you down. top that slow down so the chapter didnt last 10 minutes instead of 40 if you played it listening to every word said, they added in zig zag paths to slow you with turrets you needed to stop and kill if they agro'd you. i mean how can anyone and i mean yes even you the super fanbois say this is a great chapter or content? you literally have 2 more chapters this cycle and you have yet to get any real new story since the end of chapter 9. and chapter 9 gave the longest scripted voice acting story out of all the chapters that had real story behind it. literally we have gotten 1 chapter after that which sorta hinted at the main story arc. all and i mean all of the rest of the story literally is about listening to companions we have had already in the past. so many miss fires and lost opportunity to tell a really compelling sw story, yet each month we get nothing but a single drop in the story bucket so they can keep you guess what subbed. so yeah it has monthy updates but really if you can not see that this could have amounted to a single expansion update for 29.99 you are just silly. and foolish to say its more content than any other mmo out there. swg which was notorious for no content until the end had more player generated content on a daily basis. just good for thought you will spend roughly 120 dollars on a update that in any other mmo would at most have been 30 bucks. even 50 would be pushing the extreme cause for 50 it literally would be a new game.

the OP has it spot on but hoping another sw mmo comes out at the end is not realistic. what needs to happen is ea needs to be told get your sw games together or we pull the license. this will get ea to actually produce a product that is worthy of sw and a disney logo. the sad thing is not the OP and the bad taste they got its that anyone coming back will get that bad taste. now i didnt say first time players they will be happy until they complete the story and are not mmo players of which swtor is targetting now but former mmo players will see just how poorly done this product is. and the worst of it all is the amount of people who still want to pay knowing full well that the product they are paying for is inferior in just about all ways. that just speaks to the smarts of BW they are just so happy to fleece paying subs of money for a lemon. sorta funny and sad all at once.

there is little in this game that is ground breaking even the new story chapter system while new for swtor is honestly just paid for monthly 20 minutes of DLC. if we as subs were smart we would let them go the full cycle of pushing chapters out come back and finsish them all on a saturday afternoon. thats just that simple they have not released new content and i mean new content in a way that is not just reusing old content lowering level ability or adding in level sync and calling that new. that is just again milking your player base of case be in subs or thsoe that are f2p and waste cast on cm passes. lets not forget the unending bugs, poor patch roll outs, unbalanced class so much so that even cross faction classes that are the same are unbalanced. NOTHING is to be praised when a company charges you be it monthly sub cash or cm trash you might buy. i mean even the story is just supermarket novelette trash. there is no substance, no continunity, no depth. even the splash screen to the newest chapter they are pushing has little to do with the story. one would think you were battling shai viz side by side but what you get is talking cut scenes and radio banter you dont even participate in.

asking for BW to support swtor is well futile. they wont bother trust in that.

2 chapters and trust me they will be bombs like the rest of them. the last chapter will have a cliff hanger with oh oh oh next months sub reward gets yet another mount that has the engine exhaust at my crotch sub now to get it early. just saying op. dont hold your breath so far the story has been nothing more than a means bore us to death.

if you think they are going to change from the chapter system you are sadly mistaken. while it was the worst move they could do, they will just pump out another 12 chapters and milk you of more cash for 20 minutes of content monthly. please stop thinking otherwise.

woo woo hundreds of thousands.......... um no not even a 1/16th of that pay to play swtor. the absolutely did create this new direction for the players they took this direction because they look the path of least to make the most during a slow extension of what some call maintance mode. for most games that means no content and just keeping the game going for a few months to year or so. for eaware they want to milk as much cash from the player as they possible are capable of doing. every part of what swtor is now is designed with making maximum profit from little to no work. example of this you ust have to run the newest chapter and see a zone that was not new just assets already in place from an op a couple years old. top it with a very short but weak story. i say weak because anytime a story teller has to show a wall of text before and after either pure words or a blowhard rant of recording the story was weak. now for that CM it is and has become the real money maker of this game because people that pay into it are frankly just plain foolish. and that is being nice. some would say well if you dont buy into the cm you wont have a game. and guess what so be it. the game needs to be shuttered. and disney needs to see it shuttered and say hhhhmmm no thank you ea you botched yet another sw game and give our newest and biggest potential earning ipo say bye to licsence.

lets be very clear here i am not comparing JC to any other server. i know how active other servers are and if we want to compare them JC is a very distant back of the pack when it comes to population. to suggest we JC does not have its ninja looters or node stealing fools is just plain absurd. There will always be the subset of players in any mmo on any server that can fill that role just fine and JC has them for sure so lets move past the poor quality mmo player such as that. to rattle off conquest guilds is sorta honestly a mute point. I say this because i know full well that on any given week guilds in the top 3 can easily be there with a very limited subset of members who are willing and able to push conquest hard in a system that for the most part is broken and really at this point shown to be more or less useless. i say that knowing full well the backing to that statement because guess what been there done that in a guild that only had a dozen players who were easily and willing enough to push for 1 number 2 or 3 in any given week. the moral here is the server really is in need. please just spend time on other more populous servers east or if you wish west coast. sure any player can join a guild that just takes as many and as often as they can where even on JC you log in and you see 30 people online in that guild but that is not a representation of the guilds on teh server or for that matter the population that of course comes and goes with holidays, game releases, time of day and such. so you can point that finger and say you sir dont want to accept this or that or you have an oppinion and its wrong but reality is reality and the server over the last 6 to 8 months has slowly evolved to the point it is. its not one single thing but for the most part BW and they direction they have taken for sure has gotten the game to its current state. but of course you can just put your head in the sand and loudly say yep everything is ok. i mean after all ignorance is bliss as they say.

this chapter has followed the path of less is more in BW eyes. the story was incredibly weak. and the zone while a refreshing change from zakuul yet again was about as small as a mouse farting in a hurricane. why they didnt have you fully involved with sha vizsla really boggles the mind. yes you were recruiting torian but she was literally just a side of a side of a side character.. why did i spend most of the time driving to a point of the corner of a zone listening to radio comms instead of being involved in the fight? i mean they designed a zone so square that in order to keep you from getting to the entrance to your personal instance to quickly you have to drive up a zigzag pathway? Bioware come the bleep on. you can do much better. i mean it was so apparent you took like 5 minutes to design the zone it was sad. i thought chapter 12 was very weak just going and blowing up a single installation but wow you seem to have so little skill at story telling and zone development its almost amusing but overtly painful. at least with gault's chapter you had a semi long kill kill kill through mindless mobs because you felt compelled to give us gaults witty humor on the overdose. we know what is coming now with arcan being all pissed off oh i have been on this throne to long now. um not really you only a couple short chapters ago went head to head with me and your pappa helped me beat you but ok get on your ship for chapter next and lets get it on already. but the weakest of things was bw giving us the story line for the next sure to be very horribly supermarket story themed who created the original scorpio models? que the surprised and shocked music........ overall rate this chapter a one out of ten.

5 months ago mate you would be dead on accurate. now. no. sorry. outside of force maj, sanctuary, maybe shadow academy and possibly 1 or 2 other guilds there are not many other hitters left. most of the guilds of 6 plus months ago are long gone either out of the game or moved servers with what few players actually stayed when BW decided mmo wasnt part of swtor anymore. have i moved off JC? nope. will i move off JC nope. i will not spend even 90cc to move. they need to merge the servers and be done with it. enough of this we will milk our players for cash to transfer. you know it. i know it. they know it. its time.

first and foremost anyone that says JC is fine really has their heads in the sand. its been horribly light over 3 months now. maybe slightly longer. I can say over the last month is has progressively gotten worse unfortunately. that is completely due to this mad rush that BW has created themselves with its cheap to transfer so do it. we must also take into account that as summer quickly approaches meaning the schools are out fewer people are generally online which to me makes things alarmingly bad because more people perceive the server is dead and they take the omg its cheap only now BW statement to transfer and leave. couple that with people thinking harb is the salvation they will receive in swtor. please stop saying its a timing thing or a we are off doing chapter thing or we are off on another planet thing, its not the server has slowed considerably over the months and lately very much so. really BW needs to get their heads from the bottom and merge the east coast servers which seem to be much lighter on average. and this is purely due to the pacific players filling for example harb. they need to just do it and stop dragging their feet already. its very unhealthy for the game to persist with servers that are weaker in population east coast. just doesnt help the long term life of the game for all of us subs right now. hate me all you want. talk down to me all you want. the truth is the truth. MERGE your east coast servers bw.
