  1. Not gonna lie, I enjoyed Echoes of Oblivion very much. The story was top notch, loved seeing some old faces, the fights were cool, voice acting is superb. I did enjoy the story for the first time since the end of KOTET. Sadly it seems we will be back to the tedious "go do this for your faction" type of story. The FP was a mess though. Bugs, bugs, bugs. Damage sponge mobs and bosses. Boring story, boring mandalorians. Why would you put strong mobs so often in groups in story mode lol. If I wanted to spend an hour in a FP I would go do MM FP's, and even then they are a lot quicker than this one. Epic fail IMO.
  2. Right on the money. I am pretty sure there are some delusions that this counts as a major story update/content/expansion. As for mandos....its not that i dislike shae vizla, I just find mandalorians boring past the KOTORS and Revan Era, so I am not that excited about "story update" (tho its just a flashpoint) about them.
  3. Hero or champion of Rep/Imp, at least in my head means something different than playing lackeyboy and doing small work for a person who is honestly an ant compared to our characters. Oh you just meddled with powers beyond comprehension?...nah bro...go blow up that satellite, negotiate with mercs or play servant to some nobles... in short - be our errand boy....zero immersion for me at least. It was logical throughout class story and the expansions after, but not now...not even a little bit. The writing from the traitor arc up until now has been nothing but nonsense for me. Not that I have high hopes about the one that is coming. Great characters and plot is what this game needs....correctly corresponding to the player character power level. Not rehashing old conflicts. The characters from Ossus and Onslaught have been so forgettable....just like the "story" there.
  4. Seconded. At least if they bring back villains they could have taken a point or two from Legends Palpatine or Legends Abeloth. I imagine Legends GM Luke playing a servant to a Republic/Empire after everything he has become - this must be imp vs pub writers logic. Ridiculous.
  5. Honestly I'd much prefer Valkorion to return, than continue playing a servant to the Empire/Republic, considering that with the power lever our character has ATM could probably single-handedly wipe them out. I'd much rather play "keeping with Valkorions" than to speak one more time with annoyances like Tau, her robot-padawan, the tealoving general, Empress/Emperor weakasf**k and the rest of the dark council stooges present at the moment ( very bad written characters - all of them) or Malgus ver.2 rehash.... Much more enjoyable for me is to deal with force-eating monsters opposed to "go blow this satellite or go talk with this npc (insert random ruler)" The story of Ossus, Onslaught is so meh. Boring and predictable. Rehash. Oh...and when Malgus flew off...I mean Acina and Vowran are so weak (unless you made up some hidden powers at random just now for the sake of continuation)...so what...suddenly every sith is so afraid of them, nobody tries to overthrow them. lol... oooohhhh (Homelander style). No immersion whatsoever with storytelling like this. Though I rather doubt this episode of story will be more than 20-30 mins or will lead to something great storywise...I'm so tired of mandalorians, but I cant wait to hear Valk's voice actor again. If I had to listen to Tau or Malgus ordering me around again....I'd prefer listening to Elcor/Hanar.... P.S No more Revan please. You done slaughtered the greatness of this character in SOR.
  6. Possible. I suspect they had nothing worthwhile to announce (what a surprise) and considering the poor state the game is in, they postponed the livestream....indefinitely.
  7. Going to the compatibility tab on the launcher and checking Run as Administrator and Run In Compatibility with Windows 7 is what have done it for me.
  8. Going to the compatibility tab on the launcher and checking Run as Administrator and Run In Compatibility with Windows 7 is what have done it for me.
  9. I am getting errors c1 and c7, never have seen them before and was playing fine 2 days ago. What is this new devilry?
  10. Do not get me wrong, I am not that much against the new augments...just make them more accessible to everyone. Or what is gonna happen?? Some "big brain" would say hurr durr but HaRD ConTenT DeSerVeS beTTARRH riiWaards...its not hard really, certainly not ranked pvp. The fact that very few people play it does not make it hard, it makes it boring, time-consuming and unrewarding. But no, no we should lock it for a few guilds, because you know....reasons. Wanna make your buddies more geared and rich??? And that wouldn't bother me at all if there was a worthwhile content in this game for the past year and who knows how long forward in time. I did my fair share of OPS, HM and NIM and the possibility of gear rewards were never my main focus there ..... so some new augs will magically turn most of the population to doing NIM Ops?...I rather doubt it. And would this augments help people clear OPS easier?....I rather doubt it. What they will do , though is create disparity in PvP. If they want carrots, they should do them horizontally not vertically as they themselves have stated. Add some new gear set to the vendors, some unique lightsabers, etc. But why do that...when creating huge gaps between the game population (or whats left of it) is a "way better" idea.
  11. Could well possibly be big. But If I do count the time from the last "expansion" till the Anny there will have been 2 years...and waiting 2 years for an "expansion" like Onslaught is....I don't know...rather pathetic IMO. I know all this have been said so many times and by many people, but entering that sweet time (years without real content) and waiting for them to release that s*it-show Anthem 2.0 is twitching my fingers again, just like years ago....Although I am most certainly going to enjoy the show again and laugh my face off. Its a little reward for seeing my long-time loved IP's SW and ME get ruined. Tis why I said decorations, some stat and gear tweaks here and there, cooking or a little race events are quite enough for their abilities. Far cry from a real Star Wars content. Enough with this though. I am gonna say one last thing about those new augments. We did a little parsing and math, so in PvP they will quite possibly turn the tides in some situation. Good job on their part about making a skill-based game mode being affected by crazy grinds by 1% of the population, because guess what BW...... since I dont play Ranked anymore I just cant wait to go blow off some steam and have a few fun 8v8's, but instead having to put up with ranked premades with gear advantage while trying to cater to map objectives, cause no-one goes for them...well...I will just limit myself to SF as usual. Haven't played PvP seriously for 3-4 years and those augments doesnt make me change my decision, but rather confirm it. Oh and for the people saying "playing the GTN" is a viable way for those augments - LOL. I have done that for years and no matter how much time you invest playing the GTN, there is no way to get 14 augs for say 400-500 mils a piece...nor it is a sound investment.
  12. LOL...and what gives you the idea that next year 7.0 is gonna come? Could it be the fact the there was a whole year from the last "expansion" without any real content? The anniversary? I would predict a DvL type event at best. Those type of events like cooking (roflmao, how very star-warsey) are on par with the studio's abilities for a long time now. You are correct about the augments though. Another grind, that will be made obsolete, the way Ossus was made.
  13. I am honestly surprised people still have high expectations, considering the amount of content we got past KOTET. Sure there always are 2,3 people constantly defending BW\EA and they seem to interchange between the months/years, but I thought high expectations are a rare sight, given what they have done with this game (meager content and releasing conten for 1% of the population cause reasons we know). For the 10th Anny I expect a DvL type event. A real expansion (because i cant really call onslaught a real expansion) is way off for me, though as usual I hope I am wrong.
  14. Pretty much spot on. The story, if I even can call an hour of doing lackey stuff a story, of Ossus and Onslaught is so week, rehashed, simple and underwhelming I had trouble bringing more than two characters one rep and one imp through it.
  15. I have had this feeling for a long time now. Not sure whether to laugh or cry about the pure audacity to cater to the lowest number of population in the game and for some years now. Message is clear - rest of the people dont matter and have no place here whatsoever. Play your way, was it?
  16. I think you hit the jackpot here. Filled with friends and the devs themselves I would add (I think everyone here is familiar what the lead dev likes to do in game). It is my feeling as well and it has been for a long a time. For me this is part (if not all) the reason for the game's sad state. Seen it before with other MMO's.
  17. That is a fair point, but what I said above comes from my own experience with the forums, the game, the social media and so forth. Few of the bad decisions, that are against what the mass of players prefers, were very often taken upon reading what a few people are mouthing their personal wishes upon here in the forums. To be clear I am not saying they only act this way all of time (it is just not reasonable), all I am saying is I have felt it quite often in some of their questionable (to say the least) decisions. Its a general feeling in many people I believe, thus why I said to him not to be so surprised. Its too bad pesonal feelings about how the game should be run or who it should cater to from the dev team is why TOR is in such mess and decline. OH, and by the way GSF is one of the last group modes I play, used to play it every night with teams, I was pretty good at it and so on and I am all for buffing it in regards to conquest....alas...it seems very short-sighted to suggest or to believe that nerfing solo activities will automatically bring crowds of players to GSF and PVP.
  18. You should not blame other forum posters that much. BW has a history to listen to loudmouth whiners and make changes solely based on forum feedback (mostly the bad feedback, never the good). So its only natural some people assume this here is such case. Your constat prioritizing the group content over the solo content, even tho in some ways you did it very subtle, also does not help your case. Afterall...it was some trolls endless crying that brought this game's new "group focus" in the past years after kotet/kotfe and we have seen the worst draught in contet since ...i dont know...forever...if somebody can call augments and gear content. Someone familier with BW way of acting towards "balancing" parts of the game, should have easily deducted buffing something always comes at the cost of nerfing others and prioritizing one type of play - at the expense of another type. For my part, I did enjoy conquest how they made it in 6.1.1. In so many years playing this game i am tired of ops, pvp and so forth group activities....you can only mindlessly grind them for years. So doing my own thing and earning conquest point sat well with me, even though I log in not so muc this days thanks to some lead developers idea that "we shoud focus on ranked and nim stuff", which is honestly a pathetic way of handling a game. So once again, I believe I owe thanks to whoever made those terrible decisions about the new augs and conquest rebalance, for making me log even less. Oh and by the way, people dont want to play nim ops and ranked pvp because they suck. There is not any incentive that will make the play it. Judging this by myself - I have played them lot in the past and now there is not anything you can do to make play the content the lead dev likes. Quite the contrary - restricting my playstyle and time I spend in the game only makes me not caring about playing it. I get it...you all want people to play more group content ...it aint gonna happen like this...certainly not like this. All you will do is alienate them...oh and by the way...this game is carried by the solo and casual crowd. You are about to find this the hard way....seems mindboggling you already haven't...but I guess personal tastes overrules player base happiness.
  19. So to cut things short...I have been hearing lots of different opinions and because I have been away from PvP since 2018 and I used to play a lot ...like a lot lot...I am wondering which relics to use? I worked out the set bonus, amps and tacticals by myself, but I am still unsure about the relics. I see a lot of people use alacrity use relics and critical relic. Are they better than the usual mastery and power relics? Do mastery and power have a cap in pvp., so the relic is useless? If anybody wishes to shine some light on this, I would be very grateful. Cheers.
  20. LOL. IT does not matter you didnt like what happened during Knights expansions. The fact is it did happen. It does not make sense storywise that you will become a grunt again. But putting that aside - I can live with that. The story is weak - it is short , it is bland. This is by no means anything of the sorts - "total all out war". This is just a side quest or a planetary arc from the class stories as quality. This is what is, no matter some muppets saying otherwise. Endgame is RNG grind, nothing more. The worst kind, that only korean grindfests offer. Game enduring...more like limping, considering 3 years worth of content drought, a few servers left with a few people left. And there are people fantasizing about soft relaunches and that there will be story updates every 3 months....thats why the story supposedly was short. Where is the proof of that, based on the past years history. I would like nothing more than good story every 3 months...but considering the past years....what are the chances for this? Yeah it will continues ...in another year or so...
  21. As good as some of the muppets and people that swallow everyting BW makes try to make this content update (this by any means no expansion it is Ossus-esque addition) it suffers from trully baffling and laughable decisions and executions. First - the story is so weak in every aspect, so bland, so short, that I don't know who's genious idea was to call this "A total galactic all-out war"....really? All out war? Like the whole story is about raiding a factory.Like a side quest? LOL Second - Horrible korean rng gear grind that will take another year to balance....how fun...its GC all over again. Third - crafting destroyed. I refuse to craft anymore due to ridiculous numbers of mats and credits. Companions?? Like no role in the game whatsoever anymore...not even a letter? Its pathetic. Making the game harder for new characters and low levels....what genious decided this? If its too ez, you have the option of playing without a companion. Adding more story soon? Thats a laugh, considering how much story we got for the last three years...
  22. The problem is the story itself is weak. Laughable at moments even. You, the most powerful being in the universe, flying in a random fighter, dealing with random problems, playing nothing more than a foot soldier. Just LOL. The whole expansion is literally about a raid to a corelian factory. THERE IS NOTHING MORE TO IT. Is this the all out galactic war advertised?? Nothing total about it, nothing of great importance, nothing grand or strategic. Total BS. Another Malgus rehash?.....This is side quest worthy. What other thing does this expansion offers?? Oh yeah....a mindless korean-esque RNG grind. It is correct that this so called expansion should not be put together with ROTHC and SOR. Its not even close. Storywise or otherwise.
  23. Couldn't have said it better myself. Pathetic ammount of content. This is no expansion, so the gall to call it that.... Only thing it introduces is korean-esque rng grind, nothing more.
