Any comment on how games like LOTRO with arguably smaller teams and way less resources for a long time can release a whole expansion last year...a big one at that (Mordor), while you guys for 2 years can not? And can only do minutes of story for a whole year? Story driven MMO eh? 2017 was refocusing on group content? 2018 is focus on what please?

+1 For possible Vaylin redemption/romance. Not possible probably, but they can just go ahead and make it...since we will be getting a year without any major content we might as well have fun.

Ridiculous. So you think 2017 was a total success in regarding to the content you released???? Have you seen your server populations......Quite disappointing and disheartening for me. But at least its straightforward enough towards the players. I needed that bit of info to reaffirm my current decision to not waste anymore time with the minute amount of content per coupe of months/negligible for the whole year. I take it not to wait for anymore expansion for this game ever...

Nor should they try to make everyone happy. Catering to some players wishes is a recipe for disaster, which i suspect happened here. Ultimately its not players fault, because they are not a deciding factor. He who decides should be responisble for the consequences. Players can go and make whatever demands they want, that doesnt mean you should go and try to please every one of it. Having vision about where the game should go, being honest and open about it...thats how a game is supported. That of course doesn't exclude listening to your playerbase and implementing good suggestions. It all comes how capable and serious a studio is in the end...as well as the desire to support the game. I will be sad when/if the games goes, I have supported it for years. Of course it wont be the end of the world, or throwing a huge tantrum but still I am sure i will be sad. But I wont tolerate EAware indifference and shunning this game any longer. Different people - different decisions i guess. All subjective in the end.

I agree with most of what you say.....Yes, but if you want to be successful as a MMO you must have something unique to you or a big IP pull. I dont think their idea was bad for this game....it was bad that they didnt give this game the ongoing support WoW receives...for how many years now...WoW is really old. Now my information may not be that accurate, but Tera is not doing so good, its was just another Korean Clone MMO. As for Blade and Soul I have a close friend that plays it...a big fan...in recent days he talks about server merges, not enough support and so on. If I am not correct, apologies, I dont follow those MMO's very closely.

Welcome to a very large club of people. There is no answer the players can give you, except our opinions. Dont hold your breath for a dev answer though.

You really wanna compare WoW's state to this game current state? I've seen people do it and its beyond laughable. Note that I dont hold any love for WoW, but this studio and this game are worlds apart from them as far as continuing support, releasing content, communicating with the playerbase and I can go on for probably 5 minutes. Quarter of their highest population is still way more than most MMO's can only dream. People know how old is WoW right...and what Blizzard continues to do with the game. Funny thing what a long term support for a game does. So the players fault then?

Well many people prefer sticking their heads in the ground. It has become very noticeable the past week. I had gotten used to Red Eclipse population for years and seeing the same numbers on a now merged 3 servers is disappointing, but in no way surprising. As for the roadmap, I already made a few predictions and I highly suspect it wont contain anything other than the information about content we should have already got last year, plus some 2 minute cutscenes with returning companions, maybe some events and revamps and thats it. I still don't understand whats with the rush. It is either blind hope or searching for a reason to rage at EAware yet again....Now surprises should be accounted for but in the face of facts I wouldnt count on them...and we all know the facts for the past year and a half. Or maybe seeing as how we ain't gonna get any content for this month (because god forbid that 1 op boss and 2 minutes cutscenes are not enough for 3 months) people are excited to get a roadmap as content. Talk about expectations. But yeah, yeah, its all players fault.

I respectfully disagree. Most Korean MMOs take that road and they all flop sooner or later. WoW's never ending expansion is how you keep a game going. Star Wars is more than some EndGame stuff, it has a strong focus on story, role-playing, characters we love. Refocusing on group content brought the biggest disaster i have ever seen in this game - last year. Sure the game could use more endgame content, but its not the main reason people will stick to it. It wasn't the main reason of WoW never ending success. Ultimately i believe there should be balance, but Star Wars and BW as a studio are and were about creating great worlds and great characters. Greedy short term business corps like EA could never comprehend that....thats why they will never make a WoW killer. Caring and expanding on your product takes you a long way, contrary of what some people think. Talking about expanding I also include new endgame content...as I said I believe in the balance and in the Blizzards way of maintaining a MMO.

After some soul searching i finally did the same few weeks ago....honestly for a long time supporter like me who was even against the doomsayers threads in the past years...I guess everyone has their limits....2017 and the lack of everything actually for this year probably took its toll with me. Bet those forum ninjas will be glad there will be fewer people left to criticise EAware until they are the only ones left. Its not even about money for me. Screw money, I would support any studio that shows care, honesty, clear communication with the product...even if its fallen on hard times. Its about justice....disgusting business practices should not be supported. At least this is my opinion.

Probably the elephant that Darth Malgus now seems to have population numbers similar to Red Eclipse before the merges. It had gone up for a few months, but the continued trends with releasing next to no content can only take you this far. Took the time just now to go to the fleet, most of the planets and all the strongholds (have them all). Been doing that for the last couple of days...not that many reasons to log in anyway. Or probably many people are on romantic valentine's day dinners. Wonder if the ridiculous reason why they removed the means to see the server population light/medium/heavy could have been more smartly made up.

Funny thing is some of those MMo's release more content than this game for the past year.

I have already done what I felt needed to be done, long before some randoms on a forum will try to tell me - dropped my long time sub, which i have not cancelled until now. Dropped it a few weeks ago, and have a exactly 4 weeks left.....But...this does not mean I will stop posting my opinions on the forum, just to let some people feel better with their delusions for the game. Oh...far from it. Some people think this may be a good thing for their continuous safe zone existing, but considering the state of the game, the servers and the population, I'd say it is very unfortunate. Nobody is raging, at least I am not, I am just saddened by the neglect and mismanagement this game has endured and still endures. Taking a break for a few months and come back for what exactly, some minutes worth of content...or to replay old content for 10000th time, or grind some cxp like an asian robot...lol.
